That must be a relief! Glad to hear she's taking it easy - a fracture's not nice either of course, but at least it's not life threatening, so that's one less thing to worry about for you Hope your MS lets up soon - you can pass it on to me virtually if you like!

BrightShinySun · 16/04/2008 17:21

Thanks bisou,it was lovely really crazy to think theres a tiny weeny baby in there! Glad your ok

Indith · 16/04/2008 19:42

Well sign me up for December 24th

So I am pg, not just stressed

Indith · 16/04/2008 19:43

Though if this one is anything like ds it will be well into January...

Disenchanted · 16/04/2008 19:44

Yey Indith!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Flumpybumpy · 16/04/2008 19:46

Hello everyone, can anyone help me with this

I am 7 weeks with no3. I have had painful period pains for several hours now and have noticed a lot of yellowy discharge (sorry TMI).

The pains are like crampy period pains.

Anyone any ideas??

Disenchanted · 16/04/2008 19:52

Hiya flumpy

Period pains are normal, Ive had them with both my other pregnancies and am having them now!

Alot of discharge is also normal, I have it too,

But if you are itchy or sore you could have thrush, just pop to your doctors and get some cream

toosoontotell · 16/04/2008 19:54

Hello again, glad to see we were reinstated .

Sorry to hear some of us have had bad news, take care and look after yourselves.

Welcome to the "new" ladies

Well, despite having been through this more than once before,I keep having moments of doubt that I really am pregnant . Then I remember that I'm at least a week late, blimmin tired and keep feeling sick. My sense of smell is really enhanced at the moment-I had to stop reading the paper because of the smell of the ink!

pixsix · 16/04/2008 19:59

Hi FlumpyBunny I'm not sure if I can be much help (I'm a first timer) but I had some yellowy discharge on Monday night (again sorry if TMI anyone). Phoned the midwife on Mon and she said the discharge was normal as long as it didn't smell or itch but she did say I should go and see the doctor if I started to get pain with it. I'm not sure if this helps you. I hope everything works out ok for you. I'm 6w + 3 by the way.

Flumpybumpy · 16/04/2008 19:59

I have lost all my other preg symptoms, I did have sore boobs but since yesterday no more, I have been sick and nauseous (sp?) but okay since yesterday, don't feel tired and exhausted and have now got this pain.

Sorry I know this is a Ante-natal thread but I could do with some advice.

rosmerta · 16/04/2008 20:04

flumpy, the best thing I can suggest is if you are worried about this is to either call your midwife or see the GP. They'll know what's normal, which it sounds listening to others' experiences on here, and can set your mind at rest. I'm sure everything's ok - for what it's worth, I'm not tired anymore or have sore boobs and I'm now roughly 7wks

pixsix · 16/04/2008 20:05

Sorry Flumpybumpy for getting your name wrong.

pixsix · 16/04/2008 20:05

Sorry Flumpybumpy for getting your name wrong.

MaeWest · 16/04/2008 20:10

Hi - can I join you all? Tested on Monday and got that all important blue line. Think I'm due on 21 Dec...

I have one DS who is 20 months so this will be number 2.

Disenchanted - having skimmed posts noticed your name, glad you got a good result

Disenchanted · 16/04/2008 20:11

Just wondering if anyone else is planning a homebirth ?

And maybe panicking as it will be christmas and midwifes might be awkward??? lol

Indith · 16/04/2008 20:14

Hell yes, homebirth all the way!

I had one with ds, he was due 27th December so Christmas fell within the time frame, wasn't a problem. There was one point when I got a phone call to say that they had several people off sick so I would have to go in if I went into labour but it wasn't over Christmas.

MaeWest · 16/04/2008 20:16

I had HB with DS so would prefer to do it again, but have had the same thought about staff shortages over Christmas.

rosmerta · 16/04/2008 20:48

I would love to have a hb but dh is really far too nervous for it to happen. But the hospital I'm going to is opening a birth centre later this year so am hoping I'll at least get in there!

hiccymapops · 16/04/2008 21:03

Evening everyone

Hello Maewest I started speaking to you yesterday

Lobsterlass i'm so sorry. Take care and hope to see you on another ante natal thread soon xx

Congratulations and welcome to all the new ladies

Hope everyone's feeling okay toosoontotell i'm with you on the sense of smell. Mark was eating some sour cream and onion pringles last night, and i nearly threw the pair of them (Mark and pringles) out of the window!

I wanted a home birth when i had Ben, but my midwife said it wasn't really possible. Is it different in different areas? Or should i have just pushed it more?

rosmerta · 16/04/2008 21:05

It could be different hiccy, did she give a reason why? If you had a low risk pregnancy then there shouldn't have been a problem.

kayzisexpecting · 16/04/2008 21:13

Hello all.

I was told you shouldn't have a home birth with your first baby. Dunno why. I couldn't have a HB. I am far too scared something will go wrong. But I am one of lifes natural worriers.

hiccymapops · 16/04/2008 21:19

I think she did say it was because it was my first. I'll definately ask more about it this time. Thank you.

moaningminnie2020 · 16/04/2008 21:36

Hi all, DC #2 on the way here, EDD 18/12/08, my daughter is 12mo, and only DH and one friend knows so far so at least I can tell people here!

Verso · 16/04/2008 22:06

I knew someone in my postnatal group who had a HB with her first... it must depend on where you are.

Feeling verrrrrry sick today. I haven't actually been sick, but it's typical that I'm just starting to get over my nasty bug(s) and now the nausea has kicked back in!

Am I the only one getting excited that our group is filling up... and soon the January lot will start? Somehow it will seem more real to me when we're not the 'newbies' any more!

NineUnlikelyTales · 16/04/2008 22:26

*Disechanted" yes I am having a home birth this time too

(Not with you BTW, with hypothetical anti HB MW)
