Hi everyone, may I please join the thread? I am due 3rd December with my first.Quietly excited but just waiting to get over that 12 week hurdle.

I don't have too much of a problem with morning sickness, just not hungry (highly unusual Smile ), however in the afternoon I have horrible nausea. Is this common? I wondered that my body, despite 5 years in the UK, is having sympathy for an Australian body clock???Who knows! Grin

TheMuppetMuggle · 14/04/2008 18:53

Columboswife sorry to hear your news, i know how you feel Sad take care.

nandos thanks for being there if i need to chat hun, told Lee how u felt last night and he said i was being silly!

TheMuppetMuggle · 14/04/2008 18:54

Kayz how you doing?

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 19:04

I'm ok now thanks. Dont feel so worried now.

TheMuppetMuggle · 14/04/2008 19:22

Kayz glad your okay, i feel better today i don't feel so low Smile

Verso · 14/04/2008 19:24

Colomboswife, I'm really sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

So who here is from London, then? I used to be in SW London but have moved out a bit since we had DD and wanted a house with a garden.

Thanks for the sympathy, mibbes. I've had a pretty bad day today too but not as scary as last night. I keep hoping I'll turn a corner but nope, not yet! Luckily DH is a teacher so he's been at home today, which has been quite nice and companionable Smile.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 19:25

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better now. I hope you are taking it easy and relaxing. We're always here if you need someone to talk too.Smile

theyoungvisiter · 14/04/2008 20:22

I'm a Londoner too - norf London also (Whittington last time and will probably go back as they were fine).

Hope your bleed has stopped Kaz - annoyingly mine came back in the day but no cramps so am hopeful nothing serious... sigh...

chinchi · 14/04/2008 21:05

I got the all clear from EPU today Smile My hormone levels had more than doubled in 48 hours, so I can finally relax and start to get excited!

So sorry to hear your news Colomboswife.

Sending everyone best wishes- seems these first few weeks are more testing than we had hoped x

bcsnowpea · 14/04/2008 21:06

Wow, it's hard keeping up with this thread when you're on the other side of the globe. Every time I go to sleep, you ladies are busy busy busy chatting!

Still, it's very nice to relax and read the thread while I wake up in the morning.

Well, I'm still not booked into a hospital. My doctor gave me a number for a birthing centre (have to go public) that do non-induced VBACs, which is really what I wanted, but I'm one suburb out of their catchment area. I need to find the number for a more local hospital birthing centre, but I'm not sure if they do VBACs, so I might end up in some nasty public ante-natal clinic. Or I could spend a fortune and go private. What to do, what to do?

snowwombat welcome and congratulations!

rosmerta · 15/04/2008 14:59

woohoo, we're back!

MrsMattie · 15/04/2008 16:21

Ah, we're back in business. Was starting to wonder who I'd be able to moan to endlessly about my sickness to if not you guys

Today I feel grim. I'm actually feeling so sick it's depressing me. I can't get anything done as I can't move or the sickness gets worse. It's an effort to get dressed / get DS dressed and get his meals. I feel like I'm neglecting DS , too, as I just can't be bothered to play with him or take him out to the usual toddler group / softplay / park etc. Bless him, he is being an angel, but I do feel bad

DH is being as supportive as he can, but he has to go to work. My mum is taking Friday off work to help out, but she is run ragged at the moment as my sister has just been admitted to hospital with suspected DVT, so she is running back and forth between her two sickly daughters!

Sorry - just needed to moan. Really worried about my sis, too

Verso · 15/04/2008 16:32

Sounds like you're having a bit of a day of it, MrsMattie . I hope your sister is ok - it sounds scary. Not sure what to suggest re the sickness - though I remember sherbet lemons were quite good when I was pg with DD. (I tried ginger tea but it made me feel worse!)

Still full of laryngitis/pharyngitis/chest infection and phlegm here (laaarhvely). Yuck. Am feeling a bit better though. Have told work I'm taking tomorrow off and then hope to be back on Thursday.

I liked the idea on the 'interim' thread about any London ladies meeting up - but I work in Chiswick which isn't very handy! Or would we meet at a weekend? Anyway - I would be up for it if my next two scans go ok .

Verso · 15/04/2008 16:33

Ooops - I forgot to say, hello snowwombat!

MrsMattie · 15/04/2008 16:35

Hi Verso.

Hope you're on the mend? Chest infections are horrible.

Ginger tea just makes me want to hurl, too .

Once I've got my 12 week scan out the way and feel 'properly pregnant' I'd be up for a London meet up. I'm up at the very end of the Northern line in deepest, darkest Barnet, and am happy to jump on the tube (or will be when i stop feeling so pukey).

kayzisexpecting · 15/04/2008 18:26

YAY!! We're back!!

I'd love to come to a meet up but I am too far away from London

Hello snowwombat congratulations!

Verso and MrsMattie I hope you both feel better soon

LobstersLass · 15/04/2008 18:44

chinchi, lovely to hear that all is good with you. I'm going back to give more blood this evening so that they can compare over the 48 hours.

Can I ask what your first reading was?

Mine was very low. I still have spotting and am not at all hopeful of a positive result.

mibbes · 15/04/2008 18:51

Verso hope the infection clears up it sounds rotten.
MrsMattie you poor thing, don't beat yourself up too much though, you need to take it easy anyway and I can't imagine how you get out of bed if you are feeling so rubbish.
kayz has spotting stopped ?
LobsterLass hope all is well with you too hun.

I had my booking in appt today and still don't feel PG (I thought it may feel more real), just millions of questions and had blood taken, not very exciting ! After all the talk of early PG bleeds yesterday I was reading Jools Oliver's PG diary book and she said that she bleed early on at a few weeks and again in 2nd trimester and all was well
I'd love to meet up too but am in Scotland - any other Scots on this thread ?

mibbes · 15/04/2008 18:52

Cross posted LobsterLass, fingers crossed that all is well with your beany xx

mibbes · 15/04/2008 18:53

chinchi sorry I totally missed your post - what great news

kayzisexpecting · 15/04/2008 18:53

Yes Mibbes It has stopped thanks. I have my booking appt tomorrow and I am expecting the MW to tell me to go home and come back in 3 weeks time.

rosmerta · 15/04/2008 20:06

evening all,

mrsmattie your ms sounds awful, I hope you get better soon

verso, hope you get better soon as well!

Re meet up I was thinking a weekend perhaps as then I could leave ds with dh, its getting a bit too hard to keep him entertained if he's not running around!

Hope everyone else is ok
