contractions have started up again, making me go ouch!

Good news from JFly:

Griffin Arlo Edward arrived via emcs at 2.23am. 7lbs 11oz. In nicu as precaution for breathing but should be back with mum and dad later today. Mum a bit sore and tired but ok. Both should be home by Sunday.

HQ - if it reassures you at all my LO also has quiet days and then kicks like crazy on other days... seems to correlate with me being tired (she's quiet when i'm tired) so try not to let it worry me too much. Glad all your tests came back ok.

Just had a little bit of a show... baby girl PLEASE stay in for at least 2 more days so we can finish your toom.... please, please, please! The weather is miserable, you don't want to come out yet!

Littleducks - its my birthday today too. Happy Birthday! And what a fun day it has been. Had consultant's appointment this morning. Clinic was running 1 1/2 hours late - not that they bothered to tell us that when we arrived of course. All ok and was offered a sweep even though I'm only due tomorrow, so had that and it was not as bad as I expected.

Have had period type cramps since, but not much else to get excited about. Here's hoping for tonight - full moon, equinox, first day of spring, Hindu festival of Holi - COME ON BABY!

Had quite a nice evening in the end and suppose i shouldnt complain as you had to have a sweep, i found that such a weird, alien feeling last time not painful as such but really freaky.

Turtle - have had a loooooonnnnggg chat with her and think we have agreed that tonight is not the night. Don't hold your breath anyway! No other symptoms at all. It will be so ironic next week when I am willing myself into labour so that I avoid being induced won't it!

sorry for late news - Bertie was born on Sunday weighing 8lbs 1oz - a boy I can't beleieve it! A long labour, 3 days all told and 2 weeks 2 days late- not the best frankly but despite everything worth it in the end - he makes it all go away and nothing matters!

Congratulations Imjin - on the arrival of Bertie and on surviving being both ridiculously overdue and having a ridiculously long labour . Well done you!

All signs of imminent labour have gone here - barely even any Braxton Hicks now. However, it is still 6 days to my due date and I am clearly going for the world record between show and labour - currently 16 days and counting... I'm feeling okay about it at the moment actually - so long as he stays happy and healthy in there, I'm okay with him not budging. Plus it is our first wedding anniversary on Monday and I've booked a lovely restaurant so I really don't want any pre-labour or actual-labour to spoil that

Off to buy hot cross buns now. Mmmmm...

my due date is today and still no sign of baby! ahhhhh!!!

I've tried sex (and lots of it!!) and walking! Still no luck.

Due date today and still having cramps following sweep yesterday. Had 3 separate shows since then too, but trying not to get my hopes up. Thoroughly fed up though

So you are already overdue then c4it? I saw my midwife yesterday and she said the baby's head hasnt even engaged yet so it looks like I might have to have a sweep if he doesn't arrive by next week.

Whats it like? Is it painful when they do it?

oh god - my waters broke about an hour ago. it's just a trickle so I'm using maternity pads so that i can still walk around - it was getting boring standing in the bath!

ismay kate born 8.11am today weighing 7lb 9oz. shes abeautiful baby and looks just like her sisters. she was a 'typical' 3rd baby though and misbehaved. will write birth story later as still in hospital and on crap patient line thing. had to have venthouse in theatre but hopefully home tomorrow. hope everyone is well x

Congratulations Spugs - That's great news. Such a lovely name aswell.

It seems everyone is moving along nicely apart from me AAAGGGHHH. Though my official due date isn't until March 30th.
