Rainbowdays- hope you're OK!

Fish- go away. Please.

Ok so last night- started getting pains at 6, stopped about 8.30 agian, started BIG time at 3am. Decided at 5.30 that i needed Dh but I may as well not call him as he finished at 6 and it'd be better for him to drive home normally rather than be panicky. 5.30- pains every 4 minutes, lasting a minute each. 6.10- zero.

Arrrghhhhhhhhhh!

Bloody typical LOL!

When it does happen, I will be so convinced that it's another false alarm won't I? At leastt ehre's a delivery apck at the foot of my bed and 4 cans entonox coming Monday!

Sheds75 · 28/02/2008 11:53

peachy, it makes it all seem a little real now. Glad your ok

SuzeM · 28/02/2008 12:04

Good luck to Mr Ellie.
Peachy, what a rollercoaster!

EllieG · 28/02/2008 12:47

Cor blimey peachy is all getting very exciting!

fishy posts have been deleted hurrah I reported her for being inappropriate and mean.

DP still hasn't rung me....interview was at 11........[worry worry worry]

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 28/02/2008 12:48

Knitter - not sure if you have seen this site but if not it might be of some help to you.

Scorpio - I would have felt the same as you - but totally agree with the other lovely ladies - it means nothing, and it seems you have resolved things now - so chin up!

Last night I felt terrible - it felt really 'watery' down there and my back ached. I had a terrible night's sleep as I just could not get comfortable and got up this morning feeling like poop. DH made the executive decision for me not to go to work today but just to rest, and I'm glad I did cos I'm feeling a bit better now. Had a horrible worry that baby might have been coming early (not that I know what that feels like!) but I just felt so strange!

Peachy - so glad you are okay now... hope baby stays put until closer to the due date now!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 28/02/2008 12:50

PS - fingers crossed for your DH Ellie!

EllieG · 28/02/2008 12:52

He's rung and said the interview went really well and they'll let him know later

Am pleased cos at least if he doesn't get it he knows he gave it his best shot, and that he didn't stuff anything up.

Selfishly though - agree with sagitta it's shift work though and I will miss him! But will be a huge boost for his self-esteem if he does get so I'll put up with that. Though I'd rather see him more than have more money

EllieG · 28/02/2008 12:53

Oh tlsm - have sent you an email - sorry if is garbled!

Denny185 · 28/02/2008 13:02

Blimey, whats been going on here this am who was that fishy person, dont know what they said but hope didnt upset you too much scorpio and glas you seem to have things sorted with DH now.

Glad advice helped sagitta

Dropped car at garage this am and came out to find my aunty waiting to drive me home, turned out mum didnt want me doing the long walk home Then mum took me down to MW so no walking at all, as it turns out probably a good thing as it looks like this LO needs no encouragement to come out. MW said 2 nearly 3/5 engaged, and passed final comment that should contact labour ward if anything happens, I go on holiday in 3 weeks it cant come early, reassure me ladies they can bounce out again really easily cant they?
DD was breech and DS didnt engage until labour so never has one creep down early before.

ruty · 28/02/2008 13:13

Thanks for that VS, was just worried about the baby's oxygen needs, I guess if she's growing well it must be ok, i hope. I missed the whole fish debacle but probably just as well! Hope you're ok Scorpio.

scorpio1 · 28/02/2008 13:14

thanks Ellie

sagitta · 28/02/2008 13:14

You just have to take the opposite advice that most people have Denny - no sex, no curry, no pineapple, no walking!
LO's probably just exploring...
Don't know who Fish123 was (well done Ellie) - just an imposter - not posted on MN before - who was quite randomly mean to Scorpio.

Sal22 · 28/02/2008 13:21

Hi again everyone. Had this recurring dream last night of posting a list of things to take to hospital (as if i would know what to anyway!) on this thread - maybe feeling guilty of always reading and almost never posting!

Missed whatever horrible things that fish woman was saying, which only sound like a good thing. Glad you're ok now scorpio - and for what it's worth, I would probably have taken it worse. Agree with everyone of course, but can't help myself being a bit needy lately - losing control over your body and too much hormones not a good combination. Impressed with how you handled it, and your DH sounds as if he loves you to bits.

Ellie, fingers crossed for the job for your DH, glad the interview went well.

And Peachy, glad you're ok.

Lastly Knitter, good luck with the turning.

Sorry I always "listen in" and never post, I wouldn't want to do this pregnancy without all you lot, I suspect I'm addicted to this thread (hence even in my dreams lately!)

VictorianSqualor · 28/02/2008 13:22

Looks like little fishie got fried
Thanks Olivia

VictorianSqualor · 28/02/2008 13:24

Ha, did you report it too Ellie?
See Scorpio, we loves ya

scorpio1 · 28/02/2008 13:25

i know thanks!

northeastmummy · 28/02/2008 13:33

Good riddance to the fishy woman. Well done those of you that reported it. How do I do that if I need to in future? I didn't acknowledge she even existed when i posted because I thought that was just what she was looking for, but would've liked to have done SOMETHING!

ruty · 28/02/2008 13:47

click red exclamation mark on right.

rainbowdays · 28/02/2008 13:57

I go away for a few hours and all sorts happens here.

Scorpio - hugs to you.

Peachy - why does this having babies thing not get easier as we get more experienced! I can't see either of us making another 4 weeks of this with keeping our sanity!

Ellie - hope your dh gets news soon about the job.

Denny - babies do keep hoping in and out still at this stage, each day they may be further in or out of the pelvis, as long as they stay head down all is well.

Sal22 - you posted, good to hear from you!

rainbowdays · 28/02/2008 13:59

Forgot to say in answer to where I am, I am currently doing my last day at work - yippy! Tomorrow I go to airport to pick up my dh, then he is driving me home to my gorgous children who I have been missing like crazy. I will get home sometime on Saturday.

EllieG · 28/02/2008 14:05

Yey for you rainbowdays! That sounds nice

Hiya sal! Don't feel guilty about not posting, whenever you can make it is all good

sagitta · 28/02/2008 15:41

Scorpio - talking of feeling unattractive...dd and I had a shower together the other day. When I took my bra off, she shriekd with laughter, pointed at my tits and said "Mummy! BIG nipples!"
. Made me feel great!

KnitterInTheNW · 28/02/2008 15:58

lol Sagitta, out of the mouths of babes, eh!

Sorry to hear you were feeling like that this morning Scorpio, and glad you've managed to talk it out and are feeling happier now.

Thankyou to everyone's tips on trying to get the baby to turn, I'm going to go through them all thoroughly and make a list, and work my way through. He WILL do as I want him to! Except maybe Ellie's diving down to the bottom of the pool one, I'm ok at swimming on the top of the water but no good under, so I'd probably drown, and that wouldn't be much use to anyone!

The scan this morning was great, 2 sonographers had a go at trying to get a good picture of the baby but he wasn't playing the gane at all. He had his hand over his face the whole time, and his foot too at one point. We did see him putting his finger in his mouth for a suck at one point though, and he poked his tongue out too. I think he was telling us to stop prodding him and go away!

I have a very clean house now, ready for a viewing at 7 this eveing. Now I need to not do anything so I can't mess anything up again!

sagitta · 28/02/2008 16:11

Good luck Knitter - I hope it sells. Are you baking bread/ making coffee and all that?

scorpio1 · 28/02/2008 16:15

ooh good luck on your house view
