We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

So many babies due on 8th sept. That's my first borns birthday. She's 6 now.

I also have a son who turned 3 yesterday.

I got my BFP last week. It looks like baby will be born end of sept if all goes well 💕

@FarmBaby3 no unfortunately it’s not I have to print it out and fill it in would definitely make life a little easier if it was electronic

I have my booking appointment next month in person last time I remember loads of questions and bloods but this time they're using an app and need to fill in most of the questions before hand so hopefully that will save time.

also where I live the midwife gives you vitamins at.every appointment and encourages you to take these ones does nowhere else do this?

@krissy12 in Scotland you tend to be offered vitamins at booking in but not after that.

@krissy12 it's an app where I am too, midwife rang me last week to confirm I've been reffered to maternity services, that she's forwarding everything on to my midwife and get me set up on the app

I am only 5 weeks today but I sent off my self referral today to my chosen hospital and received an email back within a few minutes with my initial midwife appointment at 8 weeks and my nuchal scan on exactly 12 weeks. Seems super efficient!

Here in NI they do the booking apt and scan altogether at 12 weeks which is a long wait without speaking to any health official. It was actually 13 weeks with DD as 12 weeks fell on new year. We went for a private scan at 10 weeks last time as it was our first and wanted to share our news to close family at Christmas time.
I said to myself if I was pregnant again that I wouldn't keep it a secret from family this time but DH is reluctant to tell anyone but I think its because society says it should be that way.

I've also been offered this today, my appointment is in 3 weeks at the 7 week mark (ish) and I've been given the access to maternity records app with a huge questionnaire in prep for the booking appointment. Seemed pretty organised, but I wouldn't know as its my first experience. 💜

The midwife rang me today to come in Monday! Gosh!
I am finding it grim today, I didn't sleep enough last night and now the cramps and twinges are intense with it feeling like it's running twinging up and down my thighs and hips!
Is this normal?

Congratulations ladies. Hoping it is okay to join. 1st ever MN post. 4w+1d today. It doesn't feel real. Symptom wise I am out of breath easily, insomnia and period type pains but in my lower back.

Hi ladies had my booking appointment this afternoon the midwife 6+6 weeks she asked to have a feel of my stomach and said she could feel the top or my uterus which would indicate I’m around 12 weeks i told her my dates are very accurate and there’s no way they can be 5 weeks out she told me she would put down on my notes I am 11 weeks as she wants me to have a scan soon rather than later I did have a search online which said it could indicate a multiple pregnancy had anyone else ever experienced anything like this

@Rainbowbubba23 well that definitely sounds like it could be a multiple pregnancy if you are absolutely sure on dates. That's quite exciting!!

I know sometimes you can a 'period' that isn't actually a period, so is that a possibility?

The other option is she could be totally wrong!

@winningeasy I’m absolutely certain of my dates my periods have always been very regular I did think she could be mistaken with what she’s feeling not in a patronising way lol 😆

@Rainbowbubba23 I've never heard of a midwife having a feel of a tummy at the booking in appointment. An early scan would be nice though. When will the scan be?

@Rainbowbubba23 with my DS I was always getting sent for growth scans because the midwife was measuring my bump wrong

@FarmBaby3 this is my 5th pregnancy and the first time it’s happened for me i thought it was a little odd as there not a lot to feel this early I have found with every pregnancy theirs alway Changes in how they do things tho and the midwife said I would get a call in the next couple of days with and appointment.
@krissy12 iv also had experience with my belly being measured wrong in my tired trimester and having growth scan

@FarmBaby3 sorry I haven’t replied to your last question, I probably won’t have another scan until my 12 week one!
nausea has hit horrifically. Been sick for a couple of days but I’m 6+3 today and woke up with the worst sickness and haven’t kept anything down since 7:30 :( getting anti sickness meds tomorrow 🙏🏼

Hello everyone - gosh I’ve been a bit quiet and lots has happened!

hello to all the new joiners :) still can’t believe I’m actually on one of these threads and that I’ve actually conceived!

had my early scan today, thought I was bang on 6 weeks but measuring 6+4! Heard and saw the heartbeat which was just the most magical moment I could have wished for. Have even got a scan of the tiniest teeniest bean! We have another scan booked for circa 8 weeks and then I think after that we will tell our parents. Cannot wait! Have people told their family already? I’ve told a couple of friends that knew all the fertility treatment we were getting but wanted to wait a bit to tell family as we know how excited they will be and wanted to get a bit further in.

still same symptoms as everyone else seems to be getting - cramping and nausea and now all I want to eat is cheesy pasta! Nothing else appeals! I’ll be the size of a house in a few weeks!

@missmae sorry you're struggling with sickness, that sounds really tough. Fingers crossed you can get the meds soon!

@Workinprogress90 we're not planning to tell people until our 12 week scan, sounds silly but I just don't want to jinx anything until we're sure everything's ok. Your plan sounds good though to tell after your 8 week scan, at least to get that family support early on 😊

its strange keeping it to ourselves though I found out I was pregnant last time just as covid was hitting and I work in a hospital so had to tell them mega early and then we rushed to tell family in person the day before lockdown

Telling people is such a personal thing. We've always been close to 12 weeks telling family and friends but I've had to tell work both times before 7 weeks due to various things.
