We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

How is everyone feeling? I feel so revitalised today now we've finally got some sunshine! No doubt I will be knackered this evening, but I'm enjoying it for now.

MinBins · 03/04/2023 15:02

Feeling okay! The sunshine makes such a difference! Been having an ongoing mild headache and pelvic girdle pain, but other than that all good! @TwigletFiend

I had a midwife appointment today and I'm at 17 weeks, was expecting her to check heartbeat with Doppler but she didn't 😩 has anyone else had the baby heart beat checked over at their midwife appointment yet? ☺️

Yes I heard the heartbeat at my 16+6 appointment BUT that is only because I ask if I could, and the midwife said "I'll try". It's a lovely thing to hear but I'm guessing you have an anatomy scan in a couple of weeks, right? Then you'll get to see and hear everything.

FYI if you have an anterior placenta it may be harder to hear the heartbeat with a Doppler (because of the layer in between).

Tinkerbell098 · 03/04/2023 19:27

@MinBins i had to ask for it as the midwife didn’t mention it. Once I asked, she said they don’t offer it this early as some ladies end up in a panic in case they can’t hear anything due to it being too early. But also said it’s up to me, so I insisted and she did eventually.

Sweet211 · 03/04/2023 23:40

hope everyone’s well I’m 15 weeks is anyone due around 23rd September and is anyone on insulin? I’ve had stomach cramps they don’t check heartbeat anymore they use to good few years ago

MinBins · 04/04/2023 10:26

Ahh that's good to know @Tinkerbell098! Thanks - I was on the verge of asking her but left it - I will do next time!

After feeling so energetic and positive yesterday, I am absolutely shattered today. I did do quite a lot yesterday (probably too much) and DD had a nightmare in the night, so disturbed sleep too. I got up and mucked out our ponies, and DD and I walked the dogs, but since then I'm struggling for motivation to do any of the thousand other things I should be doing. I'm back at work tomorrow, so I know I'm going to kick myself if I don't get some things ticked off the list today. Sorry to whinge, mamas!

FarmBaby3 · 05/04/2023 22:57

@TwigletFiend exactly the same here. I sorted the house from top to bottom, put loads on vinted, moved furniture and went round the farm.

Today my hips and back are sore. I needed a nap at 3pm!

It's so frustrating isn't it. Normally it wouldn't even cause me a blip. Never mind! I think I felt the first swoop of baby moving last night. I am 15+3, so it's a couple of weeks earlier than I felt DD. Not 100% sure as my insides are still doing all kinds of gross things, but still exciting. Makes up for the grossness and the sore back/pelvis! Is anyone else feeling movement yet?

MinBins · 06/04/2023 13:30

@TwigletFiend I'm feeling movements but today felt some kicks (teeny jabs) after lunch. Excited and can't wait to feel them more over the weeks (I'm at 17.3 weeks).

@FarmBaby3 I also feel so tired after taking walks and also have Pelvic Girdle Pain after short walks (taking DD to the park) that I've requested physio for (on midwife recommendation.) Didn't have it first time round so a bit strange but hoping it passes!

Happy Easter weekend, ladies. Hope you all get to enjoy the Bank Holiday. Looking like its going to be a sunny weekend!

MummyInBucks · 08/04/2023 07:45

I just found out that I have low PAPP A, so I'm going to have some increased monitoring. It really does sound like in most cases, there's nothing to worry about and the extra monitoring will help catch any problems early, but part of me is of course now fretting about it! And I need to find somewhere selling low dose aspirin and start taking that to help too.

PBandJs · 09/04/2023 19:35

@MummyInBucks fingers crossed all goes well for you but glad you are getting the extra monitoring for reassurance.

are you on 150mg aspirin? boots does the gastro resistant ones quite cheaply in 75mg so I just stock up every time I’m there. My midwife said once I start showing I should send someone else because they’ll refuse to sell it to me so I thought better to have a supply in case😂 hope you can get some easily enough

MummyInBucks · 09/04/2023 20:25

Yes, the boots gastro resistant one is the one I bought this weekend!

anxiouslywaiting01 · 13/04/2023 21:56
