FarmBaby3 · 01/01/2023 20:09

We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

Hi All,
I’m cautiously joining too, I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and have also had a tiny bit of spotting too. If things go well, I’m due around 20 September. xx

Seeking Health Optimal Prenatal

Caxmas · 17/01/2023 21:59

I went for Pregnacare Max, they seemed to have a bit of everything in them so without having a clue what I was looking for I quickly panic bought them on a 3 for 2 offer from Boots, because I was paranoid that we’d bump into someone we know while we were hanging around around that aisle! I just wanted to get out….fast!

Has anyone shared their news with any family / friends yet?

I’m bursting at the seams to tell our parents, but I’m thinking once we tell them, but when I think about it, stupid as it might sound, I’m not sure if I’d feel more pressure! I’ve got another scan next week (6-7 weeks) just to check all is still well so will hold off until at least then and see how I feel.

froglou · 17/01/2023 22:16

I take vitamin D,C over the counter and prescription strength folic acid but honestly I'm just throwing them back up again so I don't think they're doing any good!

froglou · 17/01/2023 22:31

Anyone with kids already how are you hiding it? My daughter keeps asking why I'm being sick all the time (morning and evening) and she's getting worried about it! I'm not really sure what to tell her! She's also definitely going to accidentally out me to my parents by telling them I'm sick every day!

winningeasy · 18/01/2023 07:22

I told everyone straight away last time and it was nice because we had really struggled to conceive for so long. (I have a 14 month old now)

This time it's taken just a couple of months to fall pregnant so being a bit more reserved, and going to announce slowly.

The thing I most cautious of is telling my family my due date, so makes sense to leave it a bit later. My mum was asking when I was gonna to be induced because I was 'late'.

Marleym28 · 18/01/2023 08:59

Yessss to the DD.
with my last I was 2 weeks late, then induced and geez the messages etc drove me insane!
I know it’s because they care but it was just too much added pressure!

winningeasy · 18/01/2023 09:09

Yes I ended up going to 42+5 and went into labour spontaneously but I am sure it would have happened sooner if there had been less pressure

I'm telling NO ONE when I am actually due this time.

Jane1284 · 18/01/2023 09:10

I'm taking Thorne Basic Prenatal- it was recommended to me by my naturopath I started seeing when trying to conceive my first.

Anyone not have any symptoms yet? I am 5 weeks tomorrow and feel completely fine. From memory they started around week 7 for me last time. Hard not to overthink these things though!

Loword · 18/01/2023 11:10

@Jane1284 I’m 6+2 and my symptoms come and go!
feel fine for a couple days then sick, headache, etc for a couple days!

Tinkerbell098 · 18/01/2023 12:23

@Jane1284 I'm 6+4 today and zero symptoms so far. It’s my first pregnancy so very paranoid. Got a can booked next week so fingers crossed!

Jane1284 · 18/01/2023 12:26

@Loword is this your first pregnancy? Hope the sickness doesn't get too bad!

@Tinkerbell098 I remember feeling the same for my first pregnancy. Was worried I would get to the scan and there would be nothing there but it was all fine. Good luck for your scan! Is that through a hospital or private? Mine is booked for 3rd Feb. Seems ages away!

Tinkerbell098 · 18/01/2023 12:28

@Jane1284 I’m IVF through NHS so by default the clinic does a reassurance a scan around 7 weeks. Are you getting one privately?

Jane1284 · 18/01/2023 12:32

@Tinkerbell098 I am paying for a scan through my IVF clinic. I was due to start a FET this cycle but am somehow naturally pregnant so I decided to book a scan with them (not cheap!) but there's no way I can wait until 12 weeks.
I hope your scan goes well. I know the added stress of IVF pregnancy! xx

PPop · 18/01/2023 12:42

Has anyone else had lots of nasal congestion along with a bit of blood in their nose when blowing? I think that this has to be to do with the pregnancy as the congestion has been since around when I would have conceived and the bloody nose is the last couple of days...?

WideOpenSpaces · 18/01/2023 13:09

Has anyone had their first appointment yet?
I've just been offered a phone call appointment next week and I just feel a bit disappointed. I was hoping my first appointment would make it all feel real!
I guess I'll just be asked questions? Seems a bit rubbish really. I can't remember what happened last time

Lal33 · 18/01/2023 13:46

Can I join? Early doors, 4 weeks today for me. I'm too bloomin' impatient for all this carry on! I feel like I've known for months and time seems to be going so slowly !!

fvsrdigfvrsd · 18/01/2023 14:37

Hi I am 4 weeks today too. Can i please join? is there a FB page tooo?? Huge Congrats to everyone

Tinkerbell098 · 18/01/2023 14:49

@WideOpenSpaces mine is booked for the 31st. Mine is also a telephone appointment, but have been told it would take about 45 mins to an hour. I'm assuming it'll be a load of questions.

Rainbowbubba23 · 18/01/2023 15:43

Hey I have my booking appointment tomorrow afternoon they emailed me a lot of the paperwork so I can fill it in before hand Iv never had to do that before by my dates I’ll be 7 weeks Friday so it’s very early

FarmBaby3 · 18/01/2023 22:06

@Rainbowbubba23 is it all electronic paperwork? That would save loss of time in the appointment. I wish they would do that here.

@WideOpenSpaces I had a phone call with my midwife at 5 weeks. She wanted to check if my folic acid dose was correct and if I had any worries. My booking appointment is at 9 weeks. I'm currently 7 weeks.

@Tinkerbell098 this is my third pregnancy. With my daughter I had ALL the symptoms including HG. With my son I had nothing and was terrified at the 12 week scan but he's now a wild 3 year old. I have no symptoms this pregnancy either. This might sound bad but I'm kind of too busy with everything else and too tired to dwell too much on the what ifs just now. I'm sure they will come as I inch towards 12 weeks.
