FarmBaby3 · 01/01/2023 20:09

We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

Very much plagued with insomnia here too. My mind goes into complete overdrive.

krissy12 · 24/01/2023 14:58

so I've had more spotting again at exactly the same as my last pregnancy trying not to stress out but booked a private scan tomorrow to check everything

What are your dates? I'm sorry you're worried and going through this. Try and keep calm, and let me know how you get on. 💜

Napmum · 24/01/2023 16:10

My due date is 22 September. I tested positive today and am about 5 weeks. I've found all the midwives' forms, so just been to what for a scan appointment to come through.

I'm 39 so I'm trying not to get too excited as miscarriage more likely. But fingers crossed, it's all fine

FarmBaby3 · 24/01/2023 16:42

Hi everyone that's joined. I'm due the beginning of September and there are people now for beginning of October. These 4 weeks have gone fast but slow!!

krissy12 · 24/01/2023 18:20

@Lal33 thank you I think I'm just over 7 weeks I had the same last time and was all fine so fingers crossed

Laul89 · 24/01/2023 20:31

Thanks for the advice ladies! 🥰 I called my GP surgery today and the receptionist asked some questions for a form and said the midwife only comes in on Mondays so she will pick it up next week. Then the first appointment is usually between 8-10 weeks.

Does anyone else exercise/do gym classes? I usually do cardio/boxing & weights 2-3 times a week and I’d like to carry on for the moment but very anxious… I have read on the NHS website that exercise is recommended, carry on with what you’re used to etc as long as you aren’t too breathless but I just worry! Obviously I will discuss it with the midwife when I have my app but just wondered if anyone is in the same boat ☺️

froglou · 24/01/2023 20:36

@Laul89 I submitted the online referral form at 4/5 weeks and got sent dates for appointments through by the next day so you're not too early x

Laul89 · 24/01/2023 20:45

@froglou wow the next day! That’s great! I’m guessing I won’t hear until next week at the earliest as the midwife apparently won’t pick up my form till then.

This is gonna sound like a really daft question… but I can’t actually work out exactly how far along I am? My Flo app is putting me at 5+2 dating from my last period which was 19th December but I think that’s based on a 28 day cycle. As when I put my last period date in the nhs due date calculator and then put my cycle length in (which is anything from 30-33 days.. I’m putting in 32) it’s saying I’m around 4+4. How did you ladies all work it out? x

winningeasy · 24/01/2023 21:06

@Laul89 defo keep up your fitness routine! I think lifting is the only thing to be cautious of x

chocciebiscuits · 24/01/2023 21:34

Hi ladies hope everything is going well with your pregnancies! I had a private scan last wk measuring 7wks and all looked fine, but I can't shake this feeling that there is going to be something wrong with this baby. I'm 38 and this was an unplanned but very much wanted baby, we have 2 girls already 6 and 9. I suffer really badly with health anxiety and I guess with my age plus having endemitriosis I keep thinking the quality of my eggs might not be that great and the baby will have complications. I wouldn't abort so I'm in 2 minds about doing the NIPT/Harmony tests, I can't really afford it and I don't want to create more worry as I'm expecting a bad result anyway ... sorry don't know if that makes sense! But just wondered if any other ladies were feeling the same. Thank you for readingDaffodil

FarmBaby3 · 24/01/2023 21:34

@Laul89 I knew when I ovulated so I put that into an online "calculate due date based on ovulation" searches. I'm saying I'm between 7 and 8 weeks. The 12 week scan will confirm the actual due date so I'll see what it says.

froglou · 25/01/2023 07:58

@Laul89 the NHS app is what I go off as that's how they'll calculate it pre scan, for the midwife paperwork they didn't ask me how far along I am just length of cycle and dates of last cycle . You get an actual date at the scan, and you can't know that ahead of time. There's no point worrying too much about it all just know roughly where you are!

Jane1284 · 25/01/2023 09:28

@Laul89 - i had the same issue when I estimated my due date with the NHS app versus my period tracker app. NHS seems to think I am a week less pregnant than the app but my cycle is only 2 days longer than the typical 28 day cycle. All very confusing! They booked my midwife app and 12 week scan on the exact 8 and 12 week dates so they appear to be using last period.
It worries me a bit as I have a scan on 7 weeks exactly and now I'm worried they won't see anything if I am only 6 weeks based on NHS calc. Hopefully I'm worrying unnecessarily.

Jane1284 · 25/01/2023 09:32

@chocciebiscuits I'm sorry you are feeling so worried. I honestly feel quite similar. I am 38 and this pregnancy was a surprise in that I was about to start a transfer of an embryo from when I was 35 when I found out I was naturally pregnant for the first time ever. I can't stop worrying that something will go wrong and torturing myself with MC stats. I feel like the days are going so slow and I am desperate to get to my viability scan next Friday.
I know my NHS trust provides the harmony/NIPT test on the NHS if your initial 12 week tests come back medium or high risk. Does yours offer this?

Laul89 · 25/01/2023 17:20

@winningeasy thank you. Yes I think I’ll just be a bit more mindful of what I’m doing while I’m there ☺️

@froglou @Jane1284 @FarmBaby3 thanks ladies. So I suppose it’s just kind of guess work until you get that scan!

Hope everyone is doing well 🥰

SLT91 · 25/01/2023 17:32

Hello everyone hope it’s ok for me to join in! I’m currently 6+1, first pregnancy so all very new to me!
been pretty symptomless up until now (apart from sore boobs) but this week the nausea has hit me HARD. Haven’t actually been sick but am feeling sick pretty much all day on and off :(
I am usually quite healthy and active but the last week or so I can only stomach dry plain carby foods and have strugggled to do any exercise so finding that a bit hard.
im a full time teaching assistant which I suppose is quite an active job and gosh work is a struggle with the constant nausea. wondering if I should tell anyone at work yet but I feel it’s just too early?
Anyway sorry I just needed somewhere to offload - which I feel completely guilty for as i am so so grateful to be pregnant in the first place!

hope everyone’s had a good day :) x

FarmBaby3 · 25/01/2023 20:06

@SLT91 pregnancy is tough! It's okay to hate the symptoms but love the growing human.

My nausea is just in the evenings which is odd. I hope the nausea tails off for you soon.

SLT91 · 25/01/2023 20:24

@FarmBaby3 thank you! I hope yours eases off soon too!
I guess I wasn’t expecting the nausea to kick in this early but maybe I was just naive 😅

MaryLola · 25/01/2023 21:03

Congratulations to all the new BFPs

I am so tired the last few days. I can't get past 9pm. I remember being very tired with my 1st and had to nap during my lunch break whilst wfh. Hopefully these early nights will mean I can get through the day without napping.
Nighttime sleep still rough though, lots of wakeups in the middle of the night.

krissy12 · 25/01/2023 21:09

had my early scan today due to spotting all was thankfully OK but she dated me at 6+1 a week behind what I thought I was. feel like I've known I've been pregnant for ages and it's dragging in already

Workinprogress90 · 25/01/2023 21:18

@krissy12 im feeling like this too! Feel like I’ve been at 7 weeks for about three months!

my nausea seems to come and go throughout the day - today I actually managed a meal that had something green in it and I was delighted! So far my meals have mainly consisted of some form of carb and melted cheese!

I’ve got a second scan next week with the fertility clinic I’ve been using and then I think after that I will just be onto the usual Nhs schedule. I have been booked in for my first midwife/booking apt when I’ll be around 9/10 weeks - I’m assuming that’s not when I have my scan and that will be booked separately? First pregnancy so just working it all out!

Laul89 · 25/01/2023 22:18

@SLT91 sorry to hear you’re feeling so rubbish 🥺 hope the nausea clears up for you soon! 🤞🏼

@krissy12 glad to hear everything is good with you and baby 🥰

@Workinprogress90 yes as far as I know that will be your long meeting where you go through family history etc and then you’ll get a separate date for your 12week scan ☺️

Rainbowbubba23 · 26/01/2023 13:51

Good afternoon had anyone told their employer yet? It’s not something, I really feel comfortable doing right now, but I’m starting to feel that maybe I will have to as my symptoms have amplified massively over the past week to the point I have no energy everything has become a massive struggle I spend the majority of my day led down due to dizziness my sickness is on and off all day and night I work evenings and this is usually the worst part of the day for me I’m really struggling and feel I need to take some time off but feel awful doing so .

HattieRosa · 26/01/2023 16:57

@Rainbowbubba23 I told my work because I had to take some mornings off for scans etc and because I was really anxious. I'm personally glad I did because they've been really supportive so far. Depends on who your boss it though really. I'm lucky to work for a small company with a close-knit team.
