FarmBaby3 · 01/01/2023 20:09

We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

@BeatAroundTheBush @Gymbelle fellow progesterone buddies 👋

@Rabbithole27 yes I get cramping most days - when I had my scan on Friday I checked with the sonographer and she said it’s completely normal 👍

@kizzy97 eek sorry to hear the sickness is so bad! hope it calms down soon

i have definitely started to go off foods, the only thing appealing to me atm is stodge and melted cheese! I am currently a walking pasta/crumpet/toasted cheese machine. Managed an orange this morning and have never been so proud of myself 😂

Crumpets and fizzy pop over here 🙋🏽‍♀️

kizzy97 · 22/01/2023 17:32

@Workinprogress90 can't stop drinking milk, don't seem to have developed anything food wise yet, think that might come about when the sickness settles down xx

HattieRosa · 22/01/2023 18:23

Urgh I have been feeling rough today, really for the first time. Was sick this morning and have spent most of the day napping on and off. I've had a terrible headache - has anyone else a headache? Might be tiredness I guess 😴😴😴

FarmBaby3 · 22/01/2023 20:29

@kizzy97 I drank loads of milk when pregnant with my daughter. She loves milk now too.

@HattieRosa I had really bad headaches for the first few weeks. It was terrible. I've not had one for a bit though now.

It's super strange but for the first time in nearly 2 weeks I have no cramping or pulling sensations! Now I'm worrying why they've stopped 🤦‍♀️😂

BipolarSunset · 22/01/2023 21:44

@HattieRosa I've been really rough today too. Headaches and feeling generally exhausted. Spent the whole day napping on/off on the sofa - 7 weeks today!

HattieRosa · 23/01/2023 06:37

@BipolarSunset sounds exactly like my day. I hope we feel better today! I'm off to work soon 😴😴

FarmBaby3 · 23/01/2023 07:06

@BipolarSunset I've been very similar. Just feel totally done in. Really achey, boobs super sore and just a constant muscle ache in my tummy. I did manage to sleep about 10 hours last night though and I feel marginally better but a it nauseous now.

Oh and heart burn seems to be creeping in.

Thought I was okay this morning getting up and ready for work. 9am hits and I'm ready for a nap! Have my early scan today at 2pm. Fingers crossed all is ok 😊

BeatAroundTheBush · 23/01/2023 13:01

Really struggling with the nausea today, but also don't know what I feel like eating to make it go away 😞 and sooo tired! Lunch time nap is definitely needed...

SarahGD89 · 23/01/2023 13:29

Hello can I join? Due October 5th (according to the app) but I'm a type 1 diabetic with Graves Disease so will most likely be induced in September at around 38 weeks. This will be my third child, others are 13 and 4 DS. First baby with my diabetes and graves though, quite nervous, it took me and my oh nearly 2 years for our bfp and now it's arrived I'm a bit terrified but excited all the same.

Loword · 23/01/2023 14:23

When did you go for your first scans? I am 7 weeks…

FarmBaby3 · 23/01/2023 15:23

@BipolarSunset I hope it went okay.

@BeatAroundTheBush I'm struggling with it today too

@SarahGD89 I'm both excited and nervous but have none of your health worries. I think it's normal. Has your GP said how to manage it all?

I've been feeling so nauseous today then ate a massive lunch and now I feel properly sick

@FarmBaby3 my endo team have been with me and told me what to do, though they did want me to wait a little longer so they're prepared since I would need to be monitored weekly, but my health conditions caused my cycles to stop and I assumed I was still infertile, apparently not 😂. Been cramping a little which doesn't make my anxiety any better, but I'm trying not to dwell on it.

krissy12 · 23/01/2023 17:39

congratulations @SarahGD89

@Loword my 1st nhs scan is booked for 28th Feb but I'm going to book a private scan next week when I think I'll be 8+2

Laul89 · 23/01/2023 18:07

Hi everyone, please can I join? Got my BFP on Saturday and I think I’m around 5+1, due around 30th September!

This is our first baby so I’m feeling quite anxious hoping everything goes ok! I’ve checked online and I can’t self refer in my area so going to call the GP tomorrow but wondered if it was too early.. my friend went (to a different surgery) at around 5 weeks and they were quite dismissive telling her she was too soon! 🥺

How far along were you all when you contacted GP/midwife? X

krissy12 · 23/01/2023 18:12

@Laul89 in my area we can self refer to midwifes and we are told to phone as soon as we found out. they then book your 1st midwife appointment and 12 week scan on the phone depending on your dates. so I phoned when I was 5 weeks but don't actually see anyone until I'm 10 weeks but think it's different in different areas

I’ve been wondering this too! I got my positive on Thursday and can’t self refer so trying to decide whether to just ring the GP and say “I’m pregnant, what do I do” 😂 but worried they’ll just dismiss me with how early it is

Laul89 · 23/01/2023 19:15

@krissy12 I would much rather that, however I found a list online and my local hospital wasn’t on it 😩 I’ve googled and can’t find anything so guessing I’ll just have to call the GP and see what they say!

@Rabbithole27 haha, I think I’m just gonna call in the morning.. my friend had a baby last year and with the backlog didn’t get her first scan until she was almost 14 weeks so I feel like the earlier I get in there the better! 🫣

FarmBaby3 · 24/01/2023 01:19

I've been feeling nauseous all day yesterday and now I feel even worse. Surely it won't be pregnancy sickness hitting so dramatically? More likely a sickness bug?

Hey again!

In all honesty my experience of this was peculiar.

I'm on quite a lot of meds, so as soon as I got my BFP (about 5 days before AF, so early!) I called the GP to see what I needed to stop taking. I asked about what to do next and be was like 'oh just contact the midwife' to which I replied - ok great how do I do that? And he had no bloody clue.

So I just said, I'm not daft I've got 3 degrees I'm sure I'll work it out 🤣🤣 but it didn't fill me full of confidence in my GP to be honest.

I filled in a form online on the Morecambe Bay Trust website and then I got a.phonecall about 4 days later to book me my 1st appointment - it's on 9th Feb.

I'm so so pleased for you, and to be sharing the journey 😊

HattieRosa · 24/01/2023 06:37

I called my GP as I didn't know how to book it with the midwives in my area and they gave me their number. I'm 7+4 and booked in for blood tests and an over the phone booking in appointment next week. The midwife on the phone said they don't usually make appointment until 7 or 8 weeks.

Re insomnia - me too! I'm putting it down to anxiety! I'm so nervous!

WonderfulSummer · 24/01/2023 08:46

Anyone else really struggling with insomnia? I can get to sleep fine but wake around 2am for a couple of hours and then again at 5:30 this morning. Feel absolutely shattered before the day has even begun!

Jane1284 · 24/01/2023 08:52

@Laul89 I felt a bit early but I self referred to my midwife via the hospital last week when i was almost 5 weeks. They gave me a midwife appointment at 8 weeks and a 12 week scan at exactly 12 weeks. No harm in referring early if it means you get your appointments ASAP. Easier to plan that way.

I can't wait for my 12 week scan so have organised a 7 week scan next Friday with a clinic. I am a bit worried it will be too soon since I do have longer cycles and think I ovulated day 17. Hoping I can still see something as I am so impatient!

mmp22 · 24/01/2023 08:54

Hi All.. got my BFP at 3+3 and now have made it to 4+4… I’ve had 3 chemicals since March so taking it easy and finally stopped testing yesterday. everyday is going by so slowly! i just want to make it to each weekly milestone! i also have barely any symptoms.. just cramping and sore boobs and it’s all on and off now which makes me nervous but trying to just be safe and eat healthy and not think too much into it! wanted to ask if there’s a fb group that’s been created? x x
