Thanks everyone. Wishing you all the best

Anyone who has been pregnant before, have to experienced symptoms lifting a bit at around 9 weeks? I’ve been feeling so much better the past two days after basically being bed ridden! Everything that I can see says it’s okay and can be due to the placenta taking over - but just wondering!
Still feel hungover and knackered mind!

clouise30 · 13/12/2022 18:03

@thelma57 me! I'm 10w 2d today and slowly feeling more human again over the past week thank goodness!! Feeling a bit nauseous in the evening but I'll take that over all day any time 😂!

gg9320 · 13/12/2022 18:38

I’ve also been feeling a lot better since around 8/9wks but have been having the odd day of bad nausea every few days @thelma57 feel hopeful though now for a better Christmas!

bubble55 · 13/12/2022 20:41

I thought my sickness was settling at 9 weeks but I’m 10+1 and had to be sick into my water bottle on the way to work whilst driving 😂 SO GRIM!

MendaciousMabel · 13/12/2022 22:05

@thelma57 im 10+4 today I think and I’d say the last week I’ve had good days and a couple of bad ones, sickness has practically gone although I do feel very sick if I don’t eat often enough. However I feel so much more physically tired and have more aches and pains now, so swings and roundabouts lol!

thelma57 · 14/12/2022 07:46

Haha a mixed bag! Thanks everyone, it’s such a strange time - still felt sick last night but enjoying the respite whist it lasts! Xx

Ldougal92 · 14/12/2022 10:01

My symptoms at 9+5 is also subsiding and then I got hit with covid!!! Not ideal but midwife didn't seem concerned and just told me to take paracetamol - luckily its just cold symptoms. Anyone else had covid early pregnancy?

Hi @Ldougal92 , I caught Covid and Flu at the same time two weeks ago and ended up staying overnight in hospital as unable to breathe! Still coughing but generally over it all now. No concerns with baby but my 12 week scan isn't until 30 December to make sure.

To confirm, Covid, Flu and Morning Sickness is a unique combination I never, ever wish to repeat!

EmmRach · 14/12/2022 10:09

So I'm 9 weeks today as per my early scan 9+5 as per my LMP. For the last 3 days I've felt totally normal.... not gonna lie, I'm a bit worried.
I had low level symptoms before. Not much nausea but some occasionally - and then just tired. But I now feel back to my normal self! My constipation has even improved.
So I'm very happy to hear others are starting to feel better and maybe it's not something to worry over!! Hopefully!!!!
Next private scan on the 22nd Dec. So I guess I'll know either way then...

It is not a nice mix - I am just happy its happening now and not 5 weeks ago!!! Presume if its anything like the first time I had covid the cough lingered for a while. I have my 12 week scan (although will only be 11) next Thursday so fingers crossed!!!

Heres a weird one, a bit tmi too but wondering if its just me, i know constipation comes with it, its been about 5 days i think, but I had such a bad headache, last night and this morning until i could actually go and my headache lifted instantly. Anyone else had that?

Nicole92x · 14/12/2022 10:50

ladies I need advice.. im 9+1 and this morning I’ve had light brown discharge. I’ve had mild cramping but nothing extreme or painful. I’ve got a private scan booked for next Tuesday but I’m just so worried. Anyone else had this?

Lizmw · 14/12/2022 11:19

@Scotti84

I've had constipation and found prune juice to really help. Also the last 3 days have had a headache that's gone away with paracetamol.i had a midwife appointment yesterday and she said that headache that are continuing and not gojng away with paracetamol you should call up. I asked her about migranes too as i suffer with these. She said if the migrane doesn't go away or feel different to a usual migrane then phone up.

thelma57 · 14/12/2022 11:21

@Nicole92x sorry you’re having to deal with that! I did at around 6 weeks and it lasted for about a week, went for an early scan and it was old implantation bleeding making it’s way out. Hopefully everything is okay for you ❤️

Nicole92x · 14/12/2022 11:27

I’ve never had anything like this with my previous 2 kids pregnancies. I’ve been able to bring my private scan forward to 2:40pm today so fingers crossed everything is okay.

dunkedbiscuit · 14/12/2022 12:07

Thinking of you this afternoon @Nicole92x

dunkedbiscuit · 14/12/2022 12:08

@Butterfliesandroses that sounds horrendous! You poor thing, what rubbish luck to get all that together 😩

Scotti84 · 14/12/2022 12:54

@Lizmw thank you, ill try prune juice. I suffer from migraines too, last pregnancy i had an awful one where i lost my vision in one eye for an hour. Thankfully it was just that one time but scared me a bit!

How did your night shifts go? Hope you managed to find a solution x

Lizmw · 14/12/2022 17:34

@Scotti84 I phoned in and said I felt to unwell in the evening but could manage day shifts. They changed all of my nights with no questions. We were actually really short on the days so I think I did them a favour anyway.

Nicole92x · 14/12/2022 18:08

Had my private scan, measuring spot on at 9+1. Baby was fine, heart beating away, wriggling about moving its arms and legs. The sonographer couldn’t say what the discharge was from. She checked for a hematoma but she said everything looks perfect, baby is exactly where it should be. The discharge is still there but my mind is at ease for now at least.

MendaciousMabel · 14/12/2022 20:00
