@Ballygowenwater Pregnancy tests won't give you that info unfortunately. I had an MMC and when baby was all okay, my tests didn't show positive instantly. Took a minute or so to show. Then AFTER baby passed, I was getting really strong dye stealer positives. I wouldn't worry.

Also, go read this thread to put your mind at ease ♥️ www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/4121522-the-hook-effect-pregnancy-tests-lighter-tests-at-8-weeks

Dannic2018 · 10/12/2022 19:28

I didn’t even know what a MMC was until I’ve now googled it 😩😢 now I’ll be worrying about that too, only saving grace is I’m going tomorrow so I’ll find out but god it’s such a worry. I’ve only miscarried once and got 3 children and you can’t help but think the worst can you 🤷‍♀️😢😢

Scotti84 · 11/12/2022 12:19

Just popping on for a moan, I feel awful today, no energy whatsoever, doesn't help my 15 month old thinks 3am is an acceptable time to start the day 🤦‍♀️ and I just threw up for the first time. Had lots of nausea but this morning nothing, then randomly coughed and without warning my breakfast followed! Delightful! Trying to tell myself it's a good sign, but I wish I could crawl into bed for the next week and hibernate.

MamaidhMathMath · 11/12/2022 12:47

Doesn't look like this pregnancy is going to stick. I've had light bleeding all week due to a polyp, which was checked yesterday and the all clear given
But I've just started with cramps and heavy bleeding. Gynae still thinks it could be polyp related but I struggle to believe any pregnancy could survive this much blood loss

rach971 · 11/12/2022 13:23

@Dannic2018 Literally 😫 I had no nausea at all yesterday, or today... so now I'm paranoid. This did happen a couple weeks though and then it came back so 🤞

Scotti84 · 11/12/2022 14:30

@MamaidhMathMath that must be so worrying, I'll keep my fingers crossed that somehow the little bean is safe and sound in there. Can you go back for another check up?

MamaidhMathMath · 11/12/2022 14:50

Thank you. There's no scanning on weekends so I'm just waiting for a, call tomorrow. Though tbh I might go back in if this bleeding keeps going, it's flooding

Dannic2018 · 11/12/2022 17:36

So went for scan for reassurance and now im
in shock and heads in a spin. Measuring 6weeks 2&1 days. Both have heartbeat. My biggest concern I guess is I thought I was 8 weeks 4 days 😢 so do I take it as I conceived later or are they not growing correctly ?

Due July 2023
Ballygowenwater · 11/12/2022 19:26

@Dannic2018 did you get your dates from a clearblue? Maybe because it’s twins it was measuring ahead?

Dannic2018 · 11/12/2022 19:58

@Ballygowenwater no I’ve not done a clear blue I was just going my first day of last period. But as I’m still breastfeeding my cycles haven’t been really regular, around 24/26 days and I’ve never known when I ovulated before. Based on symptoms and when we had sex 6 weeks would be right as the other 2 weeks are the extra 2 week window

PinkPink1 · 12/12/2022 04:33

Random insomnia today so I’m up! I had cramps and diarrhoea yesterday. Still cramping, but not as bad. I hope nothing is wrong. I’m 11 weeks so my scan is late next week. I just want to know that things are okay. I haven’t told anyone except my DP, doctor and midwife. I’m too worried to tell my parents because this is a higher risk pregnancy according to my midwife.

I also have a severe phobia of the idea of giving birth, which sometimes keep me up at night.

rach971 · 12/12/2022 09:41

@PinkPink1 Can you request an elective cesarean? I've never wanted to give birth, but didn't realise elective C-section was a thing. I was lucky with my daughter that she was breech, so I had to have one anyway.

PinkPink1 · 12/12/2022 10:24

@rach971 I think that’s what I’ll ask for. My mum almost died giving birth to me so that’s why I’m terrified! How long did it take you to heal after the elective Caesarian? Did you end up with a ‘pouch’?

Nicole92x · 12/12/2022 11:41

So I just got my scan letter… I was expecting around beginning of January.. they’ve gave me 17th which I’ll be 14 weeks then. Is it possible to phone and request an earlier one? I’m so impatient 😂

MamaidhMathMath · 12/12/2022 11:48

Had my scan today and unfortunately confirmed I've lost the pregnancy. Still some tests needed to confirm it's passing naturally and wasn't a cervical ectopic, but definitely no life there.

I'll leave this thread shortly, but I do wish you all happy, sticky pregnancy vibes and lovely bouncing babies at the end of it all. Take care folks

EmmRach · 12/12/2022 13:13

@MamaidhMathMath I'm so so very sorry.... please look after yourself as best you can. Xx

rach971 · 12/12/2022 15:12

@PinkPink1 My mum had to have a cesarean with me and we both nearly died, but even that didn't put me off 😂 I was a big baby though and she was tiny. I didn't end up with a pouch no. Recovery wasn't too bad. Was in zero pain at all for the first two or three days and then it set in. Nothing unmanageable though, I was still able to walk around and move about. Does take a few weeks to properly feel 100% better though, I'd say like 4-6 weeks from memory. In fact the worst part of the entire thing was having to have the cannula in my hand 😂 I hated that coz it hurt soooooo bad.

bubble55 · 12/12/2022 15:29

I have really bad IBS pains and cramps today it’s awful. I was wretching on the way to work and had to be sick in my water bottle!! How grim. I’ve been wretching acid all day with streaks of blood. GP requested urine test to rule infection out but not overly worried. I get my 12 week scan next week and I’m so excited but nervous.

how’s everyone doing?

Dannic2018 · 12/12/2022 15:59

@bubble55 don’t know if you saw above that I had my scan yesterday (private) and I’m 6 weeks and not 8 weeks with twins! Both had a heartbeat but so tiny and I have a tilted womb so hard to see. They are giving me a free reassurance scan this Sunday because I was so upset and I’m worried sick. But got to take positives that I’m still here with symptoms. Hope you’re ok x

MendaciousMabel · 12/12/2022 16:37

Has anyone got a pregnancy pillow yet or can recommend one from prev pregnancies? DP has offered to get me the bbhugme for Christmas but it feels like a lot of money! My hips and back are so sore each morning now I really need some relief

Ballygowenwater · 12/12/2022 17:46

Had my scan Today and measuring at 8 weeks and 2 days. Stupidly i left my glasses on the table so I couldn’t actually see much including the heartbeat but she said it was there! She also prescribed me aspirin as my blood pressure was already high, not ideal, last time I had an induction due to high blood pressure which I was hoping to avoid this time.

Scotti84 · 12/12/2022 20:41

@MendaciousMabel get the expensive one if you can, these things are a godsend. I used mine to sleep, to be comfy when sitting, I had it in the hospital when I gave birth, I used it to prop me up when breastfeeding and baby slept in it too. I love those pregnancy pillows!

BabyGray · 12/12/2022 20:59

@MamaidhMathMath so sorry lovely, take care of yourself xx

heartbroken22 · 12/12/2022 22:42

@MamaidhMathMath I'm so sorry for your loss xx

MendaciousMabel · 12/12/2022 22:47

@MamaidhMathMath im so sorry I didn’t see your post earlier, so so sorry for your loss x
