Morning Ladies,

I am 9dpo and just found out I am pregnant - very early but also very excited! Anyone else due in July?

@heartbroken22 thank you, I had some orange juice and it eased but I am very gassy so must be a side effect from the folic acid 🤔

thelma57 · 02/12/2022 08:06

Aww how lovely @bubble55 now I defo want to
go for another scan!

I’m really struggling with my fatigue and nausea atm, yesterday I had to leave work and was in bed from 4 and threw up trying to take my vitamin and couldn’t really eat. Feeling a little better this morning but it tends to come on from 11 onwards and doesn’t go away - would it be awful to take a full day off work to rest? 😭

Scotti84 · 02/12/2022 09:38

@thelma57 do it. You need to look after yourself and better to get a bit of rest which might help than carry on feeling crap.

I've not eaten in 3 days, other than half an apple, I just can't face food. I keep trying little bits but I have to force it then I feel worse. Can't wait until the 2nd trimester!

clouise30 · 02/12/2022 10:54

Morning everyone! The guilt is fulling hitting today from feeling just so rubbish and feeling like I'm letting everyone down! Being a rubbish mum, partner and not doing nearly my best at work as I'm just so exhausted! I just want to sleep! Just having a hormonal sad day which then I feel even more guilty about because I'm so happy and lucky to be pregnant and shouldn't be moaning!! It's tricky this growing a new little human stuff isn't it! Xx

dunkedbiscuit · 02/12/2022 14:38

Scan this morning, looks like a blob to me but baby is there with a good heartbeat, measuring 8+1. I’m finding it hard to believe this time will lead to a baby but all signs are good so far, so hopefully I’ll get there

Dannic2018 · 02/12/2022 17:36

@dunkedbiscuit aw bet you feel so much better. I’m still being stubborn and not booking until after next week when I’ve passed 8 weeks.
@clouise30 bless you it’s definitely hard work and I feel the same. I’ve got 2 teenagers and a toddler so life is full on and I’m knackered 😴 🤣

dunkedbiscuit · 02/12/2022 18:33

@Dannic2018 well done for staying strong! I actually thought I was 7+5 so a nice surprise to find out im 8+1! Those extra days/ weeks make so much difference mentally in these early stages don’t they

Dannic2018 · 02/12/2022 18:35

@dunkedbiscuit aw definitely I went ahead of my dates with my little boy and every day definitely helps the worry. Just want the next 4 days to fly by then I may relax 🤷‍♀️🤣

MamaidhMathMath · 02/12/2022 19:30

It's so lovely to hear everyone's positive scan results!
I have been run over by the fatigue tractor this week, had three naps today and just realised I did the school run with my coat inside out.

bubble55 · 02/12/2022 22:09

I’m feeling so rubbish tonight. I’ve thrown everything up and my indigestion is so bad. I’ve backache too. Just feeling so sorry for myself 🤢

Scotti84 · 03/12/2022 09:05

@dunkedbiscuit lovely news. These little photos of blobs bring so much happiness dont they. Can't wait until we can actually make little baby out properly.

@bubble55 I've got back ache too, especially when putting my daughter down, that angle is a killer.

@MamaidhMathMath brilliant! Bet no one noticed. Fatigue is a hard one, I'm still suffering with a cold and am blocked up which is not helping anything. I'd usually knock a few lemsip pluses back but can't take them when pregnant so will have to suffer it out and hope it passes!

dunkedbiscuit · 04/12/2022 13:49

How's everyone feeling? Have we got any more scans coming up this week?

MamaidhMathMath · 04/12/2022 14:49

Not til early Jan for me. I'd love to see my sprout on a private scan but can't really justify the cost with presents to buy and a ludicrous heating bill!

thelma57 · 04/12/2022 14:54

Alright thanks @dunkedbiscuit how’re you?
I’m struggling with sickness and tiredness but taking it all as a good sign! 8 weeks tomorrow 🤞 I think I’ll probably book another scan in a couple of weeks just to check up on everything as I’m quite anxious!

bubble55 · 04/12/2022 15:03

I have my 12 week scan just before christmas! So I’ll wait for that. I can’t believe in 6 weeks we will know if we’re having a boy or a girl! 😍

dunkedbiscuit · 04/12/2022 15:04

Totally understand that @MamaidhMathMath we got one through the NHS because of past early losses. If I had lots of £££ I’d be getting them every week! Lol. Hopefully the distraction of Christmas will help make the weeks pass quickly

im feeling ok, heartburn on and off and feel like I could sleep for a week and still be tired but not much sickness so can’t really complain

dunkedbiscuit · 04/12/2022 15:07

Oh that’s lovely timing @bubble55 ! I’ve still not heard a thing from midwives so although im
12 weeks on 29th Dec I have no clue when the 12 week scan will be 🤷‍♀️

bubble55 · 04/12/2022 15:13

@dunkedbiscuit i’d chase them up! I’m so pleased I’m 12 weeks before christmas/new year so we can do a christmas announcement 🥹

dunkedbiscuit · 04/12/2022 15:28

Yes that will be lovely @bubble55 ,what a wonderful Christmas!

Abbi95 · 04/12/2022 18:00

Hi hope everyone is ok! Week 10 here are so over the sickness and nausea HG is the only reason I’ll be done after baby 2

Ballygowenwater · 04/12/2022 21:05

7 weeks by my calculations today, 8 +3 by LMP, got a private scan on the 12th which will hopefully give me an accurate date. Still have incredibly sore boobs but the cramping has eased up thank god. Took a fall off my bike at CP on Friday so a little worried but continued symthoms is a bit reassuring.

heartbroken22 · 04/12/2022 21:27

@Abbi95 are you not getting any relief from medication for both? So sorry you're struggling hun. I wish had some common sense and thought the same after second baby. I'm 9 weeks today and the sickness hit me hard today 😭

heartbroken22 · 04/12/2022 21:28

Also I think I've got a urine infection due to intense lower back pain and pain when bladder is full. Probably from all the vomiting and lack of drinking water.

MendaciousMabel · 04/12/2022 21:28

9+3 today and had the worst weekend for nausea and just generally feeling rubbish. I feel horrible and I only really get to spend time with dp on the weekends atm because of his work schedule and I've not had the energy to do anything. He's been lovely and supportive but can't help feeling like I'm letting him down.

Genuinely have no clue how I'm gonna cope at work tomorrow if I'm still feeling like this. Can't do a wfh day as I'm needed for urgent cover!

Scotti84 · 04/12/2022 21:33

How does it work with scans in the UK? Do you only get a certain amount? Are GP appointments in person or over the phone? I should be back in the UK at about the 7 month mark and aren't sure what to expect.
