I am 9dpo and just found out I am pregnant - very early but also very excited! Anyone else due in July?

I have a private scan tomorrow (7ish weeks by LMP 6 weeks by O) and I'm terrified they are going to burst my beautiful bubble of blissful ignorance and tell me there is nothing there, or it's not viable. I'm desperate to know but at the same time, Schrödinger's baby is quite comforting.

heartbroken22 · 23/11/2022 21:54

@July23hopeful agree about the dull headache. I just want it to stop.I know a lot of women can keep their pregnancy a secret for a very long time. But my vomiting let's everyone know at 6 weeks I'm pregnant 😂

Daniki · 24/11/2022 06:24

@EmmRach Goodluck in your scan hope all goes well 🤩

thelma57 · 24/11/2022 08:15

Good luck today @EmmRach 💕
I feel the exact same way, mine is tomorrow! 🤞

Daniki · 24/11/2022 13:12

God I had pinky brown spotting today, felt really wet and it that's what was in tissue, I am just so anxious, will see how I to rest of day and ring EPU in morning for advice 🤷‍♀️ would love to be in a coma for the 9 months, so stressful!

Butterfliesandroses · 24/11/2022 16:19

@Daniki I'm sorry to hear that. I also had spotting again yesterday. I couldn't wait though so rang EPU straight away. They have me in for a scan tomorrow but the spotting as stopped now so I feel stupid for going again a week after my first scan. I've been thinking of cancelling in case they think I'm like the boy who cried wolf but then, why do I keep spotting!? There could be something wrong so I do feel like I need the scan

Butterfliesandroses · 24/11/2022 16:20

@Daniki your comment about the coma made me smile as I had said the exact same thing to my husband

Daniki · 24/11/2022 16:23

@Butterfliesandroses go for the scan! I was the same had two scans a week apart. They won’t think that plus they’re well used to it. I feel like a dick ringing the EPU again tomorrow but sure no harm in ringing. It’s been fairly light etc since the gush this morning so hopefully nothing.
we will all deserve a big drink next July after the anxiety we’ve been through 😅🙈

Butterfliesandroses · 24/11/2022 16:28

@Daniki you're absolutely right, thank you! Let us know what the EPU say when you call them tomorrow 😊. I think we deserve several big drinks!!!! 😂

Daniki · 24/11/2022 16:32

@Butterfliesandroses let us know how the scan goes! 🤗 if anything you’ll have some nice reassurance going into the weekend 🥰 haha oh defo! 🍹

rach971 · 24/11/2022 18:11

@EmmRach How did today go for you?

dunkedbiscuit · 24/11/2022 18:55

Hope everyone’s doing ok , sorry to hear about those that are having on / off spotting it’s such a head messer!

Dannic2018 · 24/11/2022 19:04

Sending big hugs to you all. I’m loaded with cold still and getting no sleep with my toddler, so I’m hardly eating as I feel sickly all the time, not sure if it’s off pregnancy or being poorly so I’ll loose a bit of weight which is needed. But if it wasn’t for still breastfeeding and it hurting when he feeds I wouldn’t think I’m pregnant. I hate this stage honestly. Darent book a scan for 10 weeks yet as in my head I need to get past 8 weeks. Everyone keeps telling me to think positive and nothing will happen but I can’t help worrying 😞😞

Scotti84 · 24/11/2022 19:35

My scans on Wed, fortunately hubby can come with me, he missed all but one scan last time due to Covid rules. I always go into scans with so much worry, it will be good to have him there.

Hope everyone's scans go OK and we can all rest a bit better!

bubble55 · 24/11/2022 21:09

My boobs (usually tiny a cup!) are that big they’re spilling under my armpits. I’m only 8 weeks 😅 they are soooo sore.

EmmRach · 24/11/2022 23:30

Thank you @thelma57, @Daniki, @rach971

It went well!!! I saw a heartbeat!! It's only 6+1 so it was teeeeeny. 5mm apparently. But it's there and it's growing!!! I'm so relieved. Just need to keep hold of it now!!

@Dannic2018 Eugh sounds rough being poorly on top of all this. Poor you!!

@Scotti84 that sucks that your husband can't go 😓 mine was so quiet today. He's usually really chatty. I think he may have been a bit overwhelmed bless him 🥰

rach971 · 25/11/2022 07:32

@EmmRach Excellent news! 😀

Daniki · 25/11/2022 08:41

@EmmRach great!!! Delighted for you 🥰🥰

Scotti84 · 25/11/2022 08:50

@EmmRach that's brilliant news!

My husband can come with this time. I think it'll be a different experience for him, he felt very out of things last time. We live in Germany atm so the covid rules were a lot stricter than in the uk.

Is this your first? I think its a lot for men to take in, my DH felt useless throughout. It must be hard seeing us going through it all and not being able to do anything.

thelma57 · 25/11/2022 12:02

Fab new @EmmRach !

Just back from my scan, and after a little bit of a scare cos they couldn’t see anything at first and they asked me to go for a walk for 10 mins, little bean made an appearance! Measuring dead on 6 weeks 4 days which is exactly what I am based on ovulation and we saw a little heartbeat 🥹💕

They also identified where I have a little bleed from implantation which explains my bleed last week, they said it’s harmless and some more might spot out, or not!

Due July 2023
Daniki · 25/11/2022 13:13

@thelma57 Aw fab news delighted for you 🥰🥰

rach971 · 25/11/2022 13:59

@thelma57 Oh that's such a good scan photo, looks like it's looking right at you 🥰

thelma57 · 25/11/2022 14:34

Thanks so much @Daniki and @rach971 💕

Had such a fright when she could just see the empty sac at first but the lady doing to scan was so lovely and going for a walk made them show themselves! 🤞🙏💕

Hope everyone is doing okay today! Xxx

Scotti84 · 25/11/2022 15:23

@thelma57 such good news. Cant imagine how you felt when they couldnt find the little one. Lovely scan pic too!

Laura. · 25/11/2022 16:36

Hi everyone! So good to hear that scans are going well. I had an early scan on Wed too (7+2 now) and got to see that lovely little heartbeat 🥰 so reassuring. It's made me relax a little. My antenatal appointment has came through to see midwife on 23rd Dec (my ds's 5th birthday) so a special date.

Asking for some tips pleaseee.. morning sickness has kicked in (just nausea) at this point but I'm really feeling terrible. Feel like it gets worse as the day goes on. By dinner time, I cannot face food. I feel so hungry but can only manage a few bites of something. I'm wanting to go to bed as soon as I get the kids down just to avoid thinking about food and sickness 😭.. anything that could help??
