Hey @Laura. my nausea has been terrible too and lasts on and off all day, for me food helps but I have to be careful it’s not too much or too little 🤦‍♀️ I’ve been finding nibbling on plain biscuits helps keep the worst of it at bay. Hope you feel better! X

heartbroken22 · 25/11/2022 18:59

@Laura. I constantly chew gum throughout the day and it helps. Minty gum. But sometimes you can't control it. Like last week I could eat today I can't. But you just have to try and nibble on what u can have.

dunkedbiscuit · 25/11/2022 19:00

Wow what a great scan picture @thelma57 ! So pleased for you

Dannic2018 · 25/11/2022 19:57

Aw amazing @thelma57 bet that’s such a relief! Did you go privately? When are you due? I’m holding off until I get past 8 weeks (I had a mc at 8 weeks before my 2 year old) silly I know and I need to stop worrying. The mind is such a powerful thing! Had a few stitch like pains in my lower left hand side today and I’m so tired of being poorly and having a poorly toddler that I was paranoid it’s something sinister 🙁. Feel cold so having a bath and some midget gems 🤣 x

thelma57 · 25/11/2022 20:09

Such a massive relief @Dannic2018 ! I’m due 17th July 🤞💕

I’ve had stitch like pains all evening, I think/hope it’s just everything stretching! Xx

eleveneleven11 · 25/11/2022 21:37

hi everyone! i can't even comprehend trying to catch up with previous messages but delighted to see so much chat going on in here!

i am 8 weeks 3 days today and due early july 2023 🥰 i had a miscarriage at the end of september but fell pregnant with this pregnancy just a few weeks later was offered an early hospital scan which i had today and everything is looking perfect ❤️

looking forward to sharing the excitement with you guys over here! x

Dannic2018 · 25/11/2022 21:47

@thelma57 aw I’m the 18th of July ish 🥰 half tempted to book a private scan now but taking my symptoms as positives 🙏

Nicole92x · 26/11/2022 11:51

Hi 👋🏼 also due in July! Not confirmed (haven’t seen midwife yet) but going by the first day of my last period i should be due 18th July 2023. So currently 6 & half weeks 👶🏼

Catherine1982 · 26/11/2022 14:56

@Nicole92x @Dannic2018 I'm also due the 18th July. I had an early scan booked in this earlier today as I wanted to make sure everything was well and baby was in the right place. The relief I have of baby being where it should and seeing the heartbeat is amazing.

MamaidhMathMath · 26/11/2022 16:48

Another July hopeful here, all being well No2 is due 21.07.

I hate the first trimester. I'm belching like a drunken rugby player and today I threw up at the smell of my morning coffee.

Dannic2018 · 26/11/2022 17:23

@Catherine1982 aw lovely news. Was it an internal scan ? I half want to go now and half want to wait after 8 weeks. This close to Christmas and 3 children already need every penny for them 🤣

bubble55 · 26/11/2022 18:04

@thelma57 thats such a lovely scan photo for so early on!

is anybody planning on announcing their pregnancies at christmas? I will be 12 weeks then but due to previous losses I’m still nervous to announce. We didn’t announce our first til 16 weeks but I think with it being christmas it will feel so special to announce at 12 :)

Abbi95 · 26/11/2022 18:12

after a hospital stay earlier this week due to hg they sent me for a scan to make sure it was only one! It is!! I’m 9 weeks tomorrow had the scan at 8+3 but it was last minute and my husband didn’t get to come was also told that will be my dating scan so won’t get my 12 weeks! Looks like I’m booking a private ! Due date is 2nd July I think still very nauseous and sick 😷 can’t wait for it to pass hope everyone is doing well

thelma57 · 26/11/2022 18:18

Thanks @bubble55 ! I think what looks like the head is the yolk sac but I’m going with head cos it’s nice 😅

Not quite Christmas, but I’ll be 12 weeks on the 2nd January so might do a New Year’s Day announcement all being well! Although I feel like loads will figure it out before then cos I’m SO SICK 🥹

rach971 · 26/11/2022 18:35

Just started having brown spotting :( That's what I had last time for a week and a half before my MMC. No longer hopeful that this is going to go well :( but will phone EPU on Monday and try get an appointment 😫 genuinely thought this time would be different 😫

thelma57 · 26/11/2022 19:02

Easier said than done @rach971 but try not to worry. I’ve had this and at my scan they could see where it was coming from and said it was probably old blood coming out from implantation. Defo get a scan to set your mind at ease if you can ❤️

Catherine1982 · 26/11/2022 20:00

@rach971 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. It is hard to stay positive, so I thought I'd give you a statistic; 25% of successful pregnancies have spotting. I hope that helps some xx

Catherine1982 · 26/11/2022 20:01

@Dannic2018 it wasn't an internal scan and I was relieved. Normal scan that looked like a tiny fluttering blob.

rach971 · 26/11/2022 20:05

@thelma57 Thank you. Last time I had this it ultimately ended in a MMC though, and when I had my daughter 7 years ago I had absolutely no spotting at all. So I feel like it's not normal for me 😫 will deffo be phoning EPU first thing Monday morning tho. I've had tummy niggles all day as well for the first time, so that's adding to my worries. I wouldn't say it's cramps, maybe very very mild ones, bit hard to explain 😫

@Catherine1982 Thank you ☺️ I think because I had spotting last time and it ended in MMC I'm just taking it as a bad sign 😫 typical that it happens over the weekend when EPU is closed like 😫

Butterfliesandroses · 27/11/2022 07:43

@rach971 I'm sorry to hear you are spotting. I hope to reassure you when I say that the only times I've ever had spotting in previous pregnancies led to a MC and a MMC. With my daughter I didn't bleed at all the whole pregnancy. However, during this pregnancy I have had spotting on two separate occasions and been scanned at EPU. Both times they could not see a cause and baby's heartbeat was fluttering on the screen. They did suggest if it happens again they will check me for cervical ectropion to see if the blood is coming from the cervix instead. I hope this can reassure you a little x

rach971 · 27/11/2022 08:27

@Butterfliesandroses Thank you. I'm still spotting, it's varying between light brown and pink, but mostly light brown. All my symptoms have gone too which is how my last MMC started :( Just going to hope EPU will give me an appointment when I phone. I'd rather know either way than be in limbo. Just hoping for a good outcome but prepared for the worst 😫 did your two miscarriages happen in a row?

Butterfliesandroses · 27/11/2022 08:40

@rach971 I understand, it is really distressing and the limbo is the worst. With my MMC bleeding started over a weekend and there is nothing worse than not being able to do anything. I am sure they will give you an appointment, although the first time this pregnancy I had to go through my GP here. If it gets heavier you can always contact the emergency gynaecology department. That's what I was advised to do as they are 24/7 and can check you over.
No, I had my daughter between my miscarriages. It just took over a year for us to want to try again after our MMC 😔

rach971 · 27/11/2022 09:00

@Butterfliesandroses Yeah 😫 that's the thing, it started yesterday on a Saturday so it's frustrating just having to wait 😫 and then from my experience last time when you phone the EPU it's at least two days then before they have a free appointment. So I could potentially be waiting until Wednesday....

I'm glad you had a healthy pregnancy between 🥰 I think if this is another MC I'm going to really hope I get some answers because I feel like if I've had two in a row it must be something more than just baby not developing right/genetics 😫 I had my daughter absolutely fine 7 years ago, no issues at all during the pregnancy. I know I'm a bit older now but surely nothing has changed too much 😫

Butterfliesandroses · 27/11/2022 09:56

@rach971 With EPU in my area they triage you based on history and symptoms so as you've had a MMC they may see you sooner. Fingers and toes crossed for you. If for any reason they are not, you should absolutely push for testing.

Daniki · 27/11/2022 11:12

Started to bleed this morning 😩 pain is horrendous feels like when I took the tablets to complete the miscarriage the last time.
Feels extra cruel after having 2 scans this time and seen a heartbeat both times 😭
