@Butterfliesandroses yea my miscarriage started the same with brown spotting hence the anxiety 😥 but hoping after 2 positive scans I'm ok 🤣🙏🥰 xx

Scotti84 · 22/11/2022 16:44

@bubble55 me too. I feel like if I did throw up i might feel better, I hope it passes, I dont remember it being like this last time.

Butterfliesandroses · 22/11/2022 17:02

@Daniki you've had a positive scan at 8 weeks now, I'm sure that the stats drastically improve if you've seen a heartbeat at that point. Fingers and toes crossed for you. A colleague of mine who is 15 weeks pregnant has had 5 scans so far, she keeps booking them because of anxiety. I think that might be me soon!

Daniki · 22/11/2022 17:33

@Butterfliesandroses dont blame her Il be going the same way myself! I had loads of scans in my first pregnancy as I was high risk due to some medical issues and it’s such comfort, but since having a miscarriage god the anxiety is awful!

Catherine1982 · 22/11/2022 17:34

I'm 6 weeks today and having cramping and pain on one side. I'm worried it might be an ectopic pregnancy

Is anyone else experiencing this type of twinging pain and cramps?

Scotti84 · 22/11/2022 17:45

@Catherine1982 I've had more cramps on the left side, but I'm trying not to worry too much until the scan. When is yours?

heartbroken22 · 22/11/2022 18:26

@Catherine1982 I did at 6 weeks I'm now 7...

heartbroken22 · 22/11/2022 18:29

Hi guys hope you're all well. I've gone back to being afraid of the pregnancy due to the nausea. Haven't had the violent vomiting that I got with HG in past pregnancies but I'm still finding it hard. I find if I don't get enough sleep or rest well my nausea is worse and I have to eat regularly. I'm just in bed resting whilst little one is asleep. I take b6 at night so that I don't get nauseous and it's worked for the past 2 days I've just taken one now and hopefully I'll be okay. Anyone else get a mini headache with nausea? Also been feeling sooo tired like I need to sleep for 1000 years. I've not been able to cook anything due to the awful smell. I just do what I can and ask hubby for help.

Ballygowenwater · 22/11/2022 19:55

@Catherine1982 with my first daughter I had an early scan at 7 weeks due to pain in one side. They normally aren’t concerned without the shoulder pain going with it but I must have sounded sufficiently worried on the phone cos they had me into the EPU for a scan. You could call them?

Catherine1982 · 22/11/2022 20:03

@Scotti84 I'm not die my first scan for another 7 weeks. I always thought the first scan was before 13 weeks, I assume it is due to not enough appointments

Daniki · 22/11/2022 20:12

@Catherine1982 iv been having lots of twinges and pains in my left side but iv had 2 scans and all good. Hopefully all part of the process, I can't remember how I was with my first pregnancy!

Catherine1982 · 22/11/2022 20:17

@Daniki @Scotti84 @Ballygowenwater @heartbroken22 thank you all for coming back to me, it's reassuring knowing it's not just me. I've also booked in for an early first glimpse viability scan... Hopefully that will help with the anxiety. Scan is booked for Saturday afternoon xx

Scotti84 · 22/11/2022 20:33

@Catherine1982 that's a good choice, if only to put your mind at rest. Will keep my fingers crossed its all OK x

Daniki · 22/11/2022 20:41

Oh great! Hope all goes well 🥰🥰

EmmRach · 22/11/2022 23:34

@Scotti84 @Catherine1982 same here. More cramps on my left side than right. Either mostly on my left or in the centre. I'm 6 - 7 weeks depending on counting from O or LMP

bubble55 · 23/11/2022 07:11

I forgot my progesterone last night and I’m panicking now. Will it be ok?

thelma57 · 23/11/2022 14:44

How is everyone coping with fatigue and sickness at work? Thankfully I’m WFH but since Monday I feel like I’ve got the worlds worst hangover and am struggling feeling nauseous from early afternoon until I go to bed 😭
Taking it as a good sign and trying not to be negative but my lord it’s tough!

Restingpotato · 23/11/2022 14:58

@thelma57 I started with bad nausea then that eased. Then had a few days of sickness but less nausea. Now have both and I'm struggling, luckily also wfh and yesterday and today made sure I had 30 mins in bed at lunch. And trying to sort things by email/fewer calls. Its tough! Might have to take a sick day or holiday soon for a break I think

gg9320 · 23/11/2022 15:10

@thelma57 well I fell asleep in a meeting today (WFH) 😂woke up to someone asking me a question and had to pretend I couldn’t get off mute 😬

If you had an ectopic pregnancy then you would know. Apparently the pain is so severe you can’t walk. I occasionally have a shooting pain down there, but it doesn’t last long. I’m 7 weeks 3 days but haven’t had a scan yet to confirm.

gg9320 · 23/11/2022 16:08

@Catherine1982 my mum had an ectopic pregnancy many many years ago and usually you don’t get any warning until something has ruptured unfortunately so as @PinkPink1 says it will likely be unbearable sudden pain - www.nhs.uk/conditions/ectopic-pregnancy/symptoms/ shoulder tip pain can sometimes be an early indicator too

Scotti84 · 23/11/2022 16:45

@gg9320 that's both comforting and horrifying at the same time. They would pick it up on a scan wouldnt they?

July23hopeful · 23/11/2022 17:58

@thelma57 I am with you on the nausea front! So hard to try and keep functioning as normal! And you have hit the nail on the head with the hangover.. that is exactly how I feel, a constant dull headache in the background 🤦‍♀️
In one way it is reassuring but its getting harder to try and keep things hidden when all I want to do it vomit 🤣
