6+1 today and pink spotting this morning for me. The GP has referred me to EPU and I have a scan tomorrow. I'd been terribly nauseous until today where it's all but disappeared. I had a MMC at 10 weeks last pregnancy and a MC at 6 weeks before I had my daughter who is 3. Of course I've resigned myself to the fact that it's bad news 😔 x

Daniki · 16/11/2022 12:27

@Butterfliesandroses aw I hope everything is ok for you, the wait now until tomorrow will be horrible 😭 💗💗xx

dunkedbiscuit · 16/11/2022 14:52

@Butterfliesandroses I'm keeping everything crossed for you that all is well, what time is the scan? It's all such an emotional rollercoaster

bubble55 · 16/11/2022 19:11

How’s everyone feeling? I’m 7w1d. My boobs are rock solid and my nausea comes and goes in waves but I’m not sick. We have a private scan booked this weekend and I’m absolutely petrified rather than excited. We saw a heartbeat last week but I’ve read so many times on mumsnet that people go after a heartbeat and it’s gone :( I’ve worked myself up. My previous losses were 4 and 5 weeks so I’m past that now and hopefully this is a beautiful sticky rainbow 🌈 I’m taking my sore boobs and nausea as a positive xx

MendaciousMabel · 16/11/2022 19:57

@bubble55 are you me? Also sore boobs, nausea and have a private scan at the weekend! Will be thinking of you over the weekend and hoping all goes well for your sca.

Nausea has been a bit better today but my boobs hurt so bad and I haven't really had that before now! I'm exhausted as well, more so than usual but I had a really busy day at work so think I'm just wiped from that.

MendaciousMabel · 16/11/2022 20:06

Also thinking of you @Butterfliesandroses and your scan tomorrow x

Ballygowenwater · 16/11/2022 21:23

I hope everyone’s scans go well over the next few days.

Its been a while since my last pregnancy and I was a lot younger and thinner then, but still high risk. I’m now older and heavier so likely even more high risk. Trying to adjust my diet a bit to try to help where I can, I guess just wondering if anyone has any tips for foods to avoid etc when aiming to keep blood pressure low and lower the risks of gestational diabetes.

I think I’m 6 weeks 5 days but haven’t seen a midwife or had a scan yet. My boobs are big and sore (not as sore as last week) but the nausea this week has been unbearable. It starts as soon as I wake and lasts all day. I’ve barely eaten. Luckily I wfh because in the morning my nausea is so bad I can’t sit up for long without feeling like I’m about to vomit. I’m not sure how I managed to look ok during my meetings.

Dannic2018 · 17/11/2022 13:34

Hey everyone. How we all doing ? I did my first test this morning with a proper morning wee 🤣🤣 and it came up straight away which I’m over the moon about. Other than usual tiredness than I always feel (toddler who doesn’t sleep well) and feel a bit nauseous and boobs slightly hurting when my son feeds I don’t feel pregnant so seeing the test has made it feel a bit real 🥳💖

Thinking of everyone having their EPU scans soon! I have somehow ended up in hospital with probably hyperemesis 😅 the sickness went from 0 to 100 so quickly! Hope no one else is suffering

Daniki · 17/11/2022 14:21

Congrats @Dannic2018 🥰

@gg9320 oh no! Hope you get better soon or they get it under control, horrible feeling tj be constantly so sick!

Butterfliesandroses · 17/11/2022 16:50

Thank you for my well wishes. My scan today went well and we saw a heartbeat. They measured me as 6+3 today. We are very relieved. Trying to have a moment to be happy before my anxiety returns tomorrow until the 12 week scan. If all is well with this pregnancy, not sure I could go through this again for a 3rd child!!

rach971 · 17/11/2022 17:11

@Dannic2018 Feeling okay. Having some nausea which almost feels like motion sickness. That's literally about it though and it's only just come on in the last hour or two. Did a test this morning (14dpo) and the like didn't come up straight away but it was fairly strong after a few mins. Was a bit worried that it didn't show straight away tho 😫 How far along are you?

Daniki · 17/11/2022 19:25

@Butterfliesandroses great to hear! Hope anxiety wont be too bad, I'm the same now so anxious til the next one!

Dannic2018 · 17/11/2022 19:37

@rach971 I’m only 5 weeks tomorrow so very early days and I think in comparison to my sons pregnancy 2 years ago I feel less pregnant as I had painful boobs even to touch but as I’m already breastfeeding my boobs are already ready and activated as my hubby says 🤣 or god knows. It’s so worrying isn’t it x

rach971 · 18/11/2022 00:41

@Dannic2018 Yeah it really is! Had a MMC in August so everything is worrying me 🙈 Trying to remind myself I have a healthy 7 year old and during my pregnancy with her I had no symptoms bar some slight nausea and food aversions. In that pregnancy my boobs didn't change one bit 🤣 no pain, they didn't grow, literally nothing 🤣

EmmRach · 18/11/2022 11:02

Anyone else feeling cramps? I'm 6 weeks and for the past few days I've had period pain type cramps. But like... all day. They started on Wednesday and haven't stopped. Not very painful but like heavy feeling and enough to be annoying and making me feel Eugh.

Ballygowenwater · 18/11/2022 12:44

@EmmRach yep exactly the same with the cramping, not sure how far along I am though, somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks. I do vaguely remember this from last time but it was so long ago- I should have written a diary!

missychrissie3 · 18/11/2022 12:48

I'm so stressed out!!! I'm 5+6 and did another test today and it was still 2-3 weeks.... I have no pregnancy symptoms expect the occasional wave of nausea. Just so stressed out.

clouise30 · 18/11/2022 13:29

@EmmRach oh my god me too the last couple of days. I'm 6 + 4 today and they were like every minute or so and felt like being pinched rather than a cramp I'd say. Trying to stay calm and remember everything is growing etc but it's scary!! I have a scan tonight so all fingers and toes crossed all is okay and progressing as it should. Xx

Scotti84 · 18/11/2022 13:50

Hope everyone's scans are going well and we can all get some reassurance. I forgot how much overthinking there is with every symptom or lack of symptoms. Still got 2 weeks to wait for my first scan.

Has anyone had a sore throat? It only lasts for a day, but is so painful to swallow, ive had it 3 times over the past couple of weeks.

thelma57 · 18/11/2022 15:11

Hi ladies, could anyone who’s had spotting so far let me know what it was like please? I went to the loo at work and wiped and it was pink and watery, same again for the last couple of hours, some mild cramps, one wipe was slightly darker. I’m so upset, I want to call the EPU but I’m scared of bad news.

I did a test this morning and it was a really dark dye stealer. My head is all over the place 😭

I didn't want to read this and not saying respond - I don't have any experience but I am sending you all my love. I know spotting is very common but still very scary. Hopefully once you feel comfortable calling EPU they can give you a scan asap! x

@thelma57 I'm sure everything is fine but it's worth phoning EPU to check. I don't want to worry you, but when I had a MMC I had pink watery discharge. That being said, many, many people experience this and absolutely everything is fine. Trust me, I read up on it A LOT 🤣 As for pregnancy tests they don't mean anything as such. I never had dye stealers before my MC and then afterwards I was getting strong dye stealers 🙈 plus my HCG took ages to came down so I'd technically have tested positive on a pregnancy test for about 8 weeks afterwards 😫

Daniki · 18/11/2022 16:31

Hi @thelma57 completely understand the worry but best of to ring EPU and see, everything could be ok 💗
