@missychrissie3 - yes!! My boobs are maybe a tad tender if I really think about it. But I've had no sickness. I was really bone tired about a week or so ago, but I was also having a tough time at work and burning the candle. This week I feel back to my normal self. It is starting to worry me... I'm 6 weeks today according to the NHS due date calculator. But I ovulate late with short cycles. So I am actually probably more like 5 weeks. (22 DPO) So maybe still too early for mega symptoms?! That's what I'm trying to tell myself. How many weeks are you?

I'm 6 weeks as well.

It's so hard because if knackered but no more than usual given the fact I have a 6 year old and a 18 month old.

I was the same in my previous pregnancies, but my anxiety seems to be so much worse this time.

EmmRach · 15/11/2022 13:52

@missychrissie3 so you could be extra tired and not really realise it??!!

I'm sure in a few weeks when we have our beautiful scans of our little ones safe and healthy and growing in our tummies that we will be super happy we weren't puking our guys up.... but I'd deffo take a queasy day or two every now and again to make me feel a bit more reassured 🤪

heartbroken22 · 15/11/2022 15:09

@Daniki are you feeling okay? Gosh I know the feeling. Hopefully it's just a random bleed.

Daniki · 15/11/2022 15:12

@heartbroken22 feeling ok, seems to have stopped! Maybe just irritation as it was an internal scan. I actually was sick this morning and yesterday morning so hopefully a good sign!

Dannic2018 · 15/11/2022 16:02

Hi everyone
I have just found a few days ago I’m pregnant and due the 21st of July going by my last period. Tested on Sunday as I hadn’t come on and was sick of worrying, couldn’t believe it would be positive! I have a 17,15 and 2 year old and we had only properly tried last month which seems to have happened between my son’s birthday 🥳 . We’ve suffered a MC before our 2 year old so praying this one sticks. Only told my sister and a friend so far as my test was still quite faint so very early days. So far I feel sickly on a morning, crampy and needing a wee a lot. I went to the docs last Thursday as I thought I had a water infection and she tested and it was negative but by Sunday I got a positive 🤷‍♀️. Trying not to knicker check and worry but easier said than done isn’t it ?! X

Due July 2023
Daniki · 15/11/2022 16:46

@Dannic2018 congrats! That's a very strong line aswell! Pregnancy after loss is so hard, wishing you all the best all we can do is be positive 😁

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 16:47

Just booked an early private scan for 3rd December when I’ll be either 8+3 weeks OR 7+4 weeks depending on my dates 🤦‍♀️
There’s no way I can wait until the end of next month to check everything is okay! So excited and terrified 💕

Daniki · 15/11/2022 16:52

@thelma57 dead right, 12 weeks is a horrendous wait tbh, I think in America they get an earlier scan!? Wish that was the norm here, everyone seems to book a private one that I know so that they know everything is ok!

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 17:00

@Daniki absolutely! I think in the US they get one almost straight away and bloods etc! Have you had yours yet? Xx

Daniki · 15/11/2022 17:07

@thelma57 yes I had a scan yesterday I thought I was 7 weeks but turns out I'm 6+2!
Would like to get my bloods done but it takes ages to arrange that with my GP 🥴 x

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 17:12

Aww amazing, I thought I’d seen you post that @Daniki but wasn’t sure, hard to keep up on here! Was it a lovely little bean on the screen?

Dannic2018 · 15/11/2022 17:24

@Daniki thank you.I didn’t think it was that strong 🤣 I had my little boy in lockdown so we paid for a private scan at 10 weeks, I think I may do the same again, helps break it up a bit. I’m still breastfeeding as well so that adds to my anxiety x

Daniki · 15/11/2022 17:27

@thelma57 yea it was so nice I was expecting to hear the worst and then she was like there is a heartbeat 💓 so nice to see! Roll on 5 weeks to my next app 🤣 it's just before Christmas aswell so at least I don't have to keep it a secret then!

@Dannic2018 do you think you'll wean or continue til bub is born and tandem feed? Fair play! I breastfed for 6 months and just couldn't do it any longer plus he had teeth at that stage and was a biter 🤣

Lizmw · 15/11/2022 17:58

Are there any good Facebook groups or similar to join for first time pregnancy?
@missychrissie3 I've only had cramps which have gone away now. I'm 6weeks. I threw up yesterday bit think that was a one off and I was in someone's house who smelled very strong of smoke.
I'm finding the wait till the first scan feels soo long. Feels daunting that we're here pregnant and can't see/ know what's going on in our bodies till much later after we've had a positive pregnancy test.

Have you told close friends that your pregnant yet, i may tell one of my friends as shjes just had a baby and can maybe talk me throuhh some bits. As my previous posts I still haven't told work but thinking I should even though I haven't had a scan yet.

Also how do you even know how to look after a baby when it's here?!?! Does it come naturally??

Dannic2018 · 15/11/2022 18:36

@Daniki i never thought I’d still be doing it now if I’m honest it definitely wasn’t the plan, 1 year then 18 months then 2 now god knows. My milk can stop and my boobs are slightly uncomfortable so if it gets too much I’ll have to wean but I’ll still be sad 🤣

Daniki · 15/11/2022 20:27

@Dannic2018 defo get the sadness I was initially sad like I was letting him down but he's such a horse for everything he didn't mind formula at all 😂

rach971 · 16/11/2022 08:27

Congrats! ♥️ I had a MMC in August at 7 weeks. Definitely doing the whole knicker checking thing again! Had brown discharge for a week and a half last time, then it stopped for a few days, and I got some pink spotting and that's when I had the scan at 7+5 and found out unfortunately baby had passed at 7 weeks. It started at around the 4+3 mark and I'm now 3+6 so I'm super paranoid what the next week or so will hold. I think if I get another week or two with no discharge/spotting then I'll feel okay. I worried so much in that pregnancy though, I avoid eating out anywhere, avoided sex, all sorts. I was paranoid and it didn't change the outcome so I'm already trying to just be calm and chill this time.

Symptoms wise I have mild nausea, some slight cramping and I feel more tired than usual. Similar to the last pregnancy except I haven't had the very loud tummy gurgling yet 🙈🤣 I've got a 7 year old daughter though and apart from some nausea I had no other symptoms in that pregnancy.

rach971 · 16/11/2022 08:28

@Dannic2018 Was supposed to tag you in my last post as I was replying to you, but apparently it didn't tag 🙈🤣

Daniki · 16/11/2022 08:41

@rach971 it's so hard not to be checking! Iv had some of the brown spotting again now this morning I really don't know what to think 🥴 I might ring EPU and see what they say. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope everything is smooth sailing 🥰

thelma57 · 16/11/2022 08:43

Urgh I’m having one of those mornings where I feel so negative and I’m so scared, I keep thinking worst case scenario and I just want to know this little bean is growing and okay! Does anyone have any tips on chilling out? I’ve very few symptoms and that’s stressing me out too 😭 sorry to be negative! 💕

dunkedbiscuit · 16/11/2022 09:29

@Daniki did they give you progesterone?

welcome and congratulations to the new July mamas 😊

distinct lack of symptoms here which is driving me a bit round the bend! I’m only 5+5 so trying to reassure myself it’s just too early, but it’s really hard not to panic about the worst.

Daniki · 16/11/2022 09:37

@dunkedbiscuit no they didn’t, I rang EPU again this morning and she said not to worry about brown spotting so I’m just in limbo! My gp is closed today aswell.

@thelma57 i wouldn’t panic too much about lack of symptoms I had zero symptoms with my first baby and one of my friends who is pregnant is now 21 weeks and only starting to feel pregnant 😂 x

rach971 · 16/11/2022 09:48

@Daniki The EPU kept telling me it was implantation bleeding but I knew it wasn't. I had a bad feeling right from the get go. I genuinely hope all is okay for you. I've heard of so many people having spotting and even bleeding and they've had perfectly healthy pregnancies ☺️

Daniki · 16/11/2022 09:54

@rach971 yes that’s what they said to me yesterday actually! Thought I was a bit far along for that but anyway hopefully all be ok as long as it doesn’t turn red 🙈
