Aww I am so glad the scan went well @Daniki

GGxxx · 14/11/2022 14:18

@Rpsches917 yes it sounds like your having a totally different pregnancy this time I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy! I feel off too! I didn’t feel pregnant so early last time and so tired. So hard at this stage trying to keep it a secret xxx

Daniki · 14/11/2022 14:29

@Ballygowenwater congrats! Have you been to GP yet? They will refer you to your closest maternity hospital. All hospitals have different policies but in general it's quite a long wait for anything to happen, my booking appointment and first scan is all on the same app on the 23rd dec! Also if you sign up to everymum.ie you can get a free gift bag with a few baby essentials 🥰 the everymum fb group always has a birth month private group so you can enquire there and you have a private group of ladies all going through the same thing. I'm still in the one i joined with my first baby and I find it invaluable! 🥰

Ballygowenwater · 14/11/2022 14:42

@Daniki No I’ve not called the GP yet, they’re short staffed so a nightmare to get though to, also I don’t love my doctor but I guess we’re about to get closer. We’re very rural so there’s only the one option.

I’ll have a look at everymum. I’ve basically gotten rid of everything baby I had from my first so starting from scratch again.

Daniki · 14/11/2022 15:30

@Ballygowenwater where abouts are you based? You can also try the hosp yourself and see can you self refer, due to my medical history I have to go to the rotunda which is a fair spin for me so I just referred myself!

Ballygowenwater · 14/11/2022 16:01

Kerry, but not sure if Tralee or Cork is our local maternity unit. I’ll have to check. Because I think I ovulated late I’m fairly sure I’m only about 4 weeks along so might give it a week or two before I make any calls to be safe.

Daniki · 14/11/2022 17:15

@Ballygowenwater if I was you I'd ring asap as public hospitals move really slow here. My last pregnancy after waiting weeks for my first scan I found out my GP had forgot to refer me 🥴🙄

inkworks273 · 14/11/2022 17:25

@Daniki I'm so glad your scan went well.

BabyGray · 14/11/2022 18:04

Hiya Lovely Ladies

Hope I can join,

IVF pregnancy so I know my due date is July 7th from my embryo transfer.
Had my first scan today which measured exactly where I should be 6w+3 with a healthy heartbeat. Im so anxious as we had a miscarriage at 11weeks in June so praying this little beans sticks around ❤️ xx

dunkedbiscuit · 14/11/2022 18:34

@Daniki this is great news! So pleased it all went well

dunkedbiscuit · 14/11/2022 18:36

Welcome @BabyGray and congratulations! I think there are quite a few of us here with rainbow babies so lots of good support

bubble55 · 14/11/2022 20:12

My nausea hasn’t been so bad today but I’ve had both a dog and a toddler kick my boobs and christ they hurt!! 😬

I've never realised just how often my 3 year old bashes into me until this week. My boobs are so sensitive!

heartbroken22 · 15/11/2022 04:17

I've woken up with nausea today 🥲. It goes away after a nibble on a ginger biscuit, flat 7 up and chewing gum. Not going to be great for my teeth but oh well. I also felt like my lower stomach wants to fall off and it's growing, ribs are expanding slightly and have that bump coming out underneath breast to navel. It feels really sensitive. It's so hard being pregnant especially for some of us. Everyone's different. I'm so glad I've got a cold otherwise I know next week will be the week where smells get to me badly and I'll have to stay in bed.

I'm just glad the first trimester is in the winter months ish. I wouldn't like to do the third trimester during covid in these months like last time.

Rpsches917 · 15/11/2022 05:57

@GGxxx thank you! And to you 😊I did another test yesterday night and the lines were so strong compared to last time I just feel so much calmer. Agree it is so hard… Especially at this time of year, Christmas party season is upon us and I’m sure people are going to question why there isn’t a wine glass in my hand… 😆

PinkPink1 · 15/11/2022 07:21

@heartbroken22 I was SO nauseous yesterday and the day before. Due 8th July according to a due date calculator. That started to make things a little real although it’s quite a while until I see a midwife and have a scan. @BabyGray almost birthday twins!

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 08:08

Sorry to hear your struggling with sickness @heartbroken22 how far along are you?

I’ve started to feel almost car sick but it only kicks in when I’ve been up for an hour or so, but then goes away, tiredness is really kicking me and I’m struggling to focus/care at work 😅

I know I said I was done testing but I found a digital under the sink at the weekend and wanted to see if my weeks indicator would have gone up to 3+ since Friday and it has 🥹🥹🥹 never got this far before 💕🤞😭

Due July 2023
Daniki · 15/11/2022 08:53

@heartbroken22 have you tried the sea sickness wrist bands? They worked for my friend otherwise defo speak to pharmacist as there is options for pregnancy.

@thelma57 aw delighted for you! So hard not to keep testing I done one Saturday night just to see if the line was darker 🤣

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 08:59

So so hard @Daniki ! I promise I’ll stop now 😂 I’ve got a drawer full of frer now and there’s no point now as all I’m doing is wondering if the control line is lighter cos they’re dye stealers so I shall chill….and save my money! I just love looking at them cos it still doesn’t feel real!

heartbroken22 · 15/11/2022 09:32

@PinkPink1 same here I have to wait till I'm 12 weeks. I'm due 9th July.

@thelma57 thank you. I'm 6 weeks and 2 days today. I'm okay in cars for now but I know it will be worse in a few weeks God forbid. I hate the mornings too. I keep chewing gum when im dropping my dd off to school. Congrats btw.

@Daniki thanks I've got them somewhere just need to find them. I'm a bit wary of taking medicine but I will have to at some point. I feel drunk and drowsy from them they're no good when you have 2 kids to look after.

Anyone else have the princess and the pea feeling? I can't sleep properly because I can feel a small pea sized shape in my stomach. I'm not sure if I'm dreaming but yeah I can feel it when I want to sleep.

Daniki · 15/11/2022 10:45

Ugh I'm spotting again, small amount of brown. Genuinely can't cope 😭

heartbroken22 · 15/11/2022 11:52

@Daniki aww I hope you're okay brown blood is usually old blood. I think fresh red blood is more worrying xx

missychrissie3 · 15/11/2022 11:59

Is anyone struggling with not feeling pregnant? Like I'm constantly worried that something is gonna happen because I don't have any symptoms..... I just wanna see my baby

Daniki · 15/11/2022 11:59

@heartbroken22 I keep telling myself that, I just had an awful exp with my previous mc i brown spotted for 2 weeks and then miscarried 🙈 I had only got a handle on my anxiety before the spotting started on Friday 🥴🙈

thelma57 · 15/11/2022 12:05

@missychrissie3 yep! Apart from feeling a tiny bit queasy and sore boobs (which right now aren’t sore at all)! I have few symptoms (knackered), but also nothing to compare it to 🤦‍♀️
My sister had very few symptoms with her first, no sickness etc so it can be totally normal! X
