scorpio1 · 11/02/2008 18:15

oh i forgot to say i had a horrible dream last night that i ws going through an early menopause I think i want one more baby after Millie; but DH says no. but then sometimes he says never say never Would do it sooner rather than later though, like after a year.

Do any of you think you will do this again?

scorpio1 · 11/02/2008 18:22

OH and i just won a BNIB sleeping bag for Millie for 99p on Ebay - a slumbersac one, neutral colours.

Denny185 · 11/02/2008 19:18

LOL Scorpio i didnt think id be doing it again now, if Dh dosent get himself down the DRs this tims i hear slamming their knackers between 2 bricks is just as effective

Chipmonkey, we had that travel cot, went to the states when DS was 8 weeks, fitted in suitcase without adding much weight, its fab but could never quite master putting it back in its bag.

Denny185 · 11/02/2008 19:24

Bargin, better than £25 new!!

EllieG · 11/02/2008 19:24

No. DP says never again he's not having children til he's 100 (he's 43)so we have to stop after this. I don't really mind as I'm not sure I like being pg that much tbh - is too achy and fattening. Plus I do have one already made I suppose so that'll take us up to two.

Have eaten a million biscuits today and still managed to eat a big pile of sausage and mash for tea in fact a bigger pile than DP oink oink oink

I dont much like being pregnant (apart from the kicks) or the babies, great once 6 months comes.

Denny185 · 11/02/2008 19:30

Ds as a rule does not watch tv, he does however seem to have developed an interest in in the night garden and has spent the entire duration of it tonight swaying from foot to foot and copying all their head movements. V cute, and for once Dh here to see it

EllieG · 11/02/2008 19:31

My tummy hurts when I try and move or laugh. I think my now non-existent abs are complaining about the strain. Couldn't work out how to get up this morning - just lay there thinking 'how did I used to do this easily? How do you do it without using tummy muscles?' Managed using elbows and rolling over in the end. I am looking forward to not being quite so ungraceful it must be said.

We might have another one. Before being pregnant with this one I'd have said there was a better than even chance; now I'd say it's a slim one . But post-birth amnesia may set in...

scorpio1 · 11/02/2008 19:55

it always does P&L!!

Won another sleeping bag, BNWT, from M&S, pink, 2.5tog. for £3.70!!

Can someone tell me about togs and warmth of room etc please? one os 1 tog and another is 2.5 tog.

PortAndLemon · 11/02/2008 19:58

Tog/temperature/what to wear information can be found here among other places.

PortAndLemon · 11/02/2008 20:00

(have just been posting on a US board where one of the first-timers has clearly not been told about lochia and was planning on just taking some light pads to the hospital... posters have been gently disillusioning her...)

Peachy · 11/02/2008 20:22

Well this is definitely our last LOL- I think we have enough now. We said 4 right from the off.

VictorianSqualor · 11/02/2008 20:34

Scorpio, I want another but it all depends how labour/birth goes with this one, dp is worried about 'putting me through it' lol.

eva07 · 11/02/2008 21:34

we will probably have more. dp is speaking of 3 to 4 kids but I'm not quite sure. think 2 would be ok for me. the next one will probably be rather sooner than later as dp is 41 already and we both don't want him to be retired when the last of our kids hits school...

chipmonkey · 12/02/2008 01:14

No, we're definitely finished after this one

KnitterInTheNW · 12/02/2008 08:28

I told DH I want to keep going til we have a girl, but he said no! Meanie... This little man will be our first, then I think probably one more. But I do love being pregnant! (if you can see past the aching back, not being able to pick things up from the floor without a 15 point action plan, waking up lots in the night, etc, etc, etc...)

Sheds75 · 12/02/2008 08:33

my DP wants 3 (this is our first), I'm not sure I can cope with this pregnancy bit another 2 times. Maybe that will change when little man arrives.

EllieG · 12/02/2008 08:49

Hello all!

knitter - I looked for my cheque book this morning and it's run out - sorry. Will go to the bank and ask for new one today but will take a few days. Is that OK or do you want to email me you account no and I will get them to transfer cash directly?

KnitterInTheNW · 12/02/2008 08:58

There's no great hurry Ellie, the blanket isn't actually finished yet! When it's done, do you want to see a photo or just wait til it arrives?

EllieG · 12/02/2008 09:11

Just wait til it arrives! I like suprises!

I adored being pg the first time, this time has been the most difficult for me. My SPD has gone though, touch wood. Am not sure i wnt to go through it again; but i wouldnt like to say this is it either.

Have got MW tomorrow, TMI: not too sure if thrush has gone yet? have tried to avoid using pessary so far but do you think that will clear it better?have just been using cream 3x day so far, has eased but still not quite right iyswim? want to avoid being tested....

EllieG · 12/02/2008 09:19

pessary gets it sorted quickly - did for me anyway

scorpio1 · 12/02/2008 09:27
