Scorpio, no problem, ask whatever you want, if I don't know the answer I know someone who will!!
chimonkey I never had any pain either, until I had mastitis, but before then it was all relatively plain sailing.
Welcome bashboid!

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 15/12/2007 18:12

Oh and I've done my birth plan, if anyone hasn't though about what to do on theirs I'm happy to email mine over for a look if it would help.

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 16/12/2007 13:11

Hello bashboid

How did the 3 d scan go scorpio?

I've had such a chilled out day - DP took DSD out iceskating this morning - I managed to clear out her room without her insisting that every last piece of paper and broken doll was a priceless sentimental heirloom and THEN I had a bath during which I wasn't interrupted with 'I need a wee!'/'Darling I can't find x/y/z' or anything. Lovely.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 13:23

You dared to bath alone?I always get worried I'll get stuck

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 16/12/2007 13:30

Yep - first one I've been able to have in ages!

Was sooo cool actually - was singing away to myself and tummy was wobbling and kicking back!

Hi All, Tried to catch up but so many messages!

VS - I understand what you mean about he bath. Last wednesday I was trying to get out and my legs felt so fat I could hardly bend my legs. I was v. close to calling DH to help me!

What does SPD feel like? For the last week or so my bum cheeks have been numb when I wake up and I have a dull achey feeling in my hips - not sure what it is. I'm seeing my Midwife on Thurs so will mention it then but I know where is ntohing they can do for it anyway!

scorpio1 · 16/12/2007 19:57

the 3D scan was really good

we got some good pics, she looked like a big tangle of arms and legs. Sonographer pointed out her 'labia' and i saw her lady bits, no way is baby a boy .

i actually saw her face, eyes still fused shut. she rubbed her eyes at one point like we do when we're tired!

and apparently she has long legs.

Reilly and Jamie sat really still and were very good, which was nice. the appt was over half an hour late though ....am very tired today though.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 20:16

Aw great!
My friend had a 3D scan and it ws awesome, did you get a dvd with it?

scorpio1 · 16/12/2007 20:18

no, that scan was +£200, we just cant justify that so close to xmas/holiday iyswim? we got 12 pictures, some 3D some 2D. fabby!

i saw so much of her though, i think it was great! she looks chubby already!

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 16/12/2007 20:21

Bloody hell, yeah £200 is a lot. At least you got to see her though!
I thought about having one but was worried I would accidently see the sex.

scorpio1 · 16/12/2007 20:27

yeah, was sort of right in your face! and you could tell them you didnt want to know, but if baby moved and you saw it would ruin it for you.

we would of liked a dvd but ours was just a gender scan, it still cost £95.

Woollymummy · 16/12/2007 21:45

Hello, I have been rubbish at contributing in this group but I have some news - I had my 20 wk scan on Thursday, and we think it is a boy, it had a small protruberence anyway! All other bits in the right places etc, but the baby is slightly small, so I will have another scan in a month's time. Has anyone else had this? It was the right size at my first scan, hopefully it isn't going to be off the scale next time.....
Also, they had to search for ages to see if they could see both edges of the placenta, so I am 1cm off being placenta previa. Hmmmm, I guess that's 1 cm in the right direction. And my placenta is at the front, which is why I can't feel so many kicks this time around. We are all going down with odd tummy aches in our house, DD just recovering had a busy day today and actually fell asleep in her high chair after eating her dinner. It was very funny to watch, she looked drunk! That will teach her to bounce up and down in her cot when she's meant to be having an afternoon nap She is now 18 months old, I hoped naps might carry on a bit longer......

chipmonkey · 17/12/2007 00:44

Scorpio, you have convinced me! I'm going to find the money for the 3D scan even if I have to live on beans for the rest of the month!
Woolly, the placenta can easily move upwards at this stage, I wouldn't worry about pp just yet.

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 17/12/2007 09:34

Aw scorpio that sounds lovely! I wish we had a 3 d scan place over here.

mummyofaprincess · 17/12/2007 09:40

hey everyone so sorry i haven`t been on the thread for so long, been very busy with DDs birthday and xp messing me around
LO is doing just fine and is kicking loads

Scorpio im also having a 3d scan done straight after christmas dont know if xp is coming or not as i asked him yesterday and he just said wel i`m glad you have got the money and also that he dunno if he can come yet (he also missed the 20 week scan)

Wollymummy please dont worry about the baby being slightly small they also said this to me but didnt offer me another scan I hope the next scan goes much better for you

Is anyone else leaking milk really bad? I am and they never seem to stop lol

Well i haven`t had time just yet to read all through this new thread but i will sometime today

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 17/12/2007 09:46

Morning all. Scorpio - that´s wonderful. I (fortunately) got piccies & a DVD when I had my 3D scan & only paid about 70 quid. I didn´t breast feed either - my boobs just aren´t designed for it

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 17/12/2007 09:48

Hi to Woolly & bashboid. Sorry your xp's being a pain in the a* mummyofaprincess. Hopefully it´ll sort itself out. Fortunately I´m not leaking yet, didn´t with DS until really late in the pregnancy so maybe the same this time.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 17/12/2007 10:00

Have somehow managed to trap a nerve in my back and now every movement is agony DS also has a really nasty mouth ulcer on his tongue - any remedies anyone? Scorpio - how's DS, was it threadworm?

mummyofaprincess · 17/12/2007 10:07

wow santasnotsolittlehelper that is a very good price. The cheapest i could find was £95 and i have to travel 50ish miles to get there!

Where about are you from? if you don`t mind me asking could do with getting it cheaper lol

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 17/12/2007 10:10

Hey mummyofaprincess - was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing. Sorry XP is being a tosser, but you sound like you are doing really well with your LO and the one on the way.

OP posts:
SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 17/12/2007 10:15

Mummy - LOL, we live in Gran Canaria so don´t think it would work out cheaper for you unless you want a holiday of course! It was 90 euros, which I think is about 70 quid these days.

Sheds75 · 17/12/2007 10:18

Morning All..... have a happy kind of feeling today (strange for a monday I know), only 4 days left at work then 2 whole weeks off

hope everyone is well and LO's are growing nicely. I'm sure our LO had hiccups the other night, stragne sensation, but at the same time a lovely feeling.

mummyofaprincess · 17/12/2007 10:25

LOL trust me to ask a silly question, mind you i could do with a holiday

Its ok its just took me 3 weeks to realise he`s a total tosser aswell.

Poor DD i dont think hes even going to bother seeing her this week, im sure i`ll more then make up for his loss

I`m glad you got a very good deal though

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 17/12/2007 10:34

Sheds - what do you do for a living? I'm so looking forward to my holiday, especially with my mum & nan around to help out
