Hello and congratulations, lovely lot.

It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

How are you?

Eeeeeek! I’ve got my early scan tomorrow 🙈🙈 I’m so scared and so excited all at once. I still don’t believe this is real, we waited for so long for it to happen!! ❤️❤️❤️ How are you all doing? I have a good, energised, fresh faced happy day one day then the next I’m tired, sick, anxious and moody! Proper rollercoaster!!! xX

FinnsMammy · 13/09/2021 21:27

@hol56 I’m due April 14th too 🥰 @Kelb79 best of luck tomorrow keep us posted xx

hol56 · 13/09/2021 21:37

I’d have to agree with the rollercoaster emotions! I’ve had lower back pain the last 2-3 days and it’s hellish, however the cramping seems to have stopped a bit 😜 Can’t wait until the end of the month when i get to see this baby in the scan!

Kelb79 · 13/09/2021 22:40

Yeesss my cramping has stopped too actually now that you mention it! It was really uncomfortable for a while there!!! I hadn’t noticed it had stopped coz it’s been replaced by other crappiness 🤣🤣🤣

sexesam · 14/09/2021 07:21

So I found out I was pregnant a week ago today. And I still have 2 and a half weeks to wait until my scan. And I am bored of waiting! I completely forgot how much waiting you have to do in pregnancy!
I'm so glad I didn't have to go through months of 2wws and the get my bfp and the have to wait 8 weeks until my scan! All of you that have been though that you have my deepest sympathies!
I want to get on with planning and sorting out what stuff I have from last time and buying anything else I need/want. And I also don't want to jinx myself! And I don't want anyone to know yet so I can't do anything that will raise questions in my noesy 5yo!
So many frustrations at the moment!

CB777 · 14/09/2021 14:45

Hi ladies.

Very new to the whole discussion but on Thursday I found out I am pregnant! A massive shock but over the moon - main reason I took a test was due to sore boobs and suddenly having dark hair on my belly?! Due 29th April 2022. Any tips on reassurance in the waiting period - first scan isn’t going to be for over a few weeks!! (currently 7 weeks 4 days) xx

wannabeamummysobad · 14/09/2021 15:09

@CB777 I'm due a few days before you.
As my NHS scan isn't until October (12W5D) I opted for an early scan this weekend just so I could make sure baby was grown and in the correct place.plus because I haven't had as many/as strong symptoms plus its my first pregnancy and I have nothing to compare it to.

Hearing the strong heartbeat that was immediate after the probe was put on my tummy put me at ease. The only tip I can give (and I'm taking it on myself) if your body isn't telling you you aren't pregnant by way of excessive bleeding then just enjoy being pregnant, speak positivity into your sticky bean and healthy pregnancy and continue on the prenatal vitamins.

Mlbs1996 · 14/09/2021 16:31

Hi all, found out I was pregnant over a month ago now so it's definitely dragging already! I was originally predicted to be due in March but went for an reassurance scan and I'm now looking at roughly middle of April but they couldn't get a decent measurement! Nice strong heartbeat though 💓 I have my nhs scan next week so will know for sure then :) Congratulations everyone 😄 This is baby number 3 for me🙈

ok1more · 15/09/2021 22:18

Hi can I join? Found out I'm pregnant on Saturday, had a private scan today, I'm 11 weeks!

My youngest is 7 months!

Send help 😅

Edd is 7th April so all going well we will have a 14 month age gap.

Crazy exciting times ahead.

Kelb79 · 16/09/2021 00:07

Hey gang, had my scan and YAY!!! My little peanut has a strong heartbeat and all is looking great 🥰🥰🥰 I’m so so happy and relieved and can definitely relax just a little bit! Such a great feeling! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hello ladies, hope it's ok for me to join! I'm 8+5 with baby number two (first with new partner) and due April 26th. I turned 40 earlier this year and really wasn't expecting to have any more but here we are! Both thrilled after getting over the initial shock 😂. My DD will be 6 later this year and I know she's going to be over the moon to be a big sister. Many of my symptoms seem to have come and gone, although the tiredness remains constantly! Midwife didn't feel concerned enough to book an early scan so just hanging on now and keeping everything crossed that all is ok. I must say I feel a whole lot more anxious this time and I know it's because I'm freaking out about being an older mum and something going wrong with the pregnancy. Trying to relax but it's so hard.

maymum94 · 17/09/2021 16:25

Hey ladies I wanted to share with you my scan I had a couple days ago. We're so happy our little bean was bouncing around currently 7+ 3 the date same a day early so I definitely think I'm going to be having a April baby. Hope everyone is doing okay my sickness has been awful but I'm getting there.

Going to share my picture on the Facebook group as well as I noticed it's starting to get a few ladies there. It's so exciting there is so many of us due now. 🥰🥰

So amazing to read and see all this lovely news today and the scan photos 😍 congratulations to everyone and welcome to everyone too! Xx

J09x · 19/09/2021 18:07

Congratulations everyone!
I'm 10+2 today. I've had 2 early scans already due to a very recent loss. So far so good this time around fingers crossed
I am due April 15th, my next scan is at 13 weeks and I'm so nervous and excited to see the little bean!🥰
Has anyone started shopping yet? When is an acceptable time to start

BooSaidTheGhost · 20/09/2021 04:32

Congratulations @J09x so sorry to hear about your earlier mcs. 9wks exactly today for me! Will probably start shopping after Christmas when we've found out gender, although friends have already offered lots of second hand stuff so feel very fortunate as I remember how quickly they grow! I won't be able to resist a few new cute bits though. Is anyone else struggling to get through the night without needing a wee or just me?!! I'm waking up between 4am-5am every day now Confused

wannabeamummysobad · 20/09/2021 09:29

@BooSaidTheGhost I'm waking up 1-2 times a night to pee and sleeping on my LHS is beyond annoying (8w4d post LMP).
This is my first pregnancy so will wait until Xmas/Easter (baby items go in the sale right?) to buy things. Add to that DH and I want to sell our flats and buy a family house before baby arrives I'll have plenty to keep me occupied.
The internet predicts my due date as 26th April but won't know for certain until my nhs scan at 12w5d. Though given my bf is currently 7days post her DD I say "for certain" with a pinch of salt 😱

Staryflight445 · 21/09/2021 12:49

I’m feeling absolutely rotten still. Can’t brush my teeth without being sick.
Wretching at everything.
Dating scan is the end of next week, hoping everything will still be ok 🤞
I know many of you will be having your dating scans this week/ next week too?
Fingers crossed for you all

Colyflower · 22/09/2021 19:21

Hi everyone! I’m 11 weeks as of yesterday and due 12 April. I’ve already had a couple of scans at EPU at 6 & 8 weeks due to bleeding and also a private reassurance scan at 10 weeks. All is looking good and now I’m just waiting for my official scan which will be 5 Oct at 13 weeks. I’ve got my booking in appointment this Friday. I already have a 21 month old son both pregnancies have been through IVF. Still nervous as I’ve had previous losses so I’m hoping the next couple of weeks go quicker than the last few! 😂

Also wanted to ask if anyone has set up a FB group? I’m a member of a previous Mumsnet FB group that I joined with my son and it’s been so great, still an active member and lots of friends made. It’s also much easier to communicate and respond to eachother via FB.

llamabeans · 23/09/2021 11:26

Hello again all, sorry I've been missing for a while and there's lots of new faces (names?!) here that I haven't said hello to yet. Got a bit caught up in moving house but should hopefully be back now.

In other news, went for a private scan at 9 weeks and it's twins!??! Am now 11+4 and it's still twins. Send help.

Hope everyone is doing well.

BooSaidTheGhost · 23/09/2021 14:12

@Staryflight445 hope all goes well at your scan. I'm not long behind you, mine is the following week and I'm feeling the excited/nervous mixture more every day. Feeling ok physically, mentally a bit of an anxious mess. My age (40), my BMI / size 18 bum, the fact we're supposed to be moving house, just started a new job, still paying off the divorce lawyer. Everything feels unsettled and so far from 'perfect' whatever that is. But I do have the most wonderful partner now after a horrible divorce 4 years ago when my exH literally left me holding the baby. I had everything financially and materially but was in the most miserable place relationship wise when my DD was born. Now it's the other way around, so I am trying to relax.

@llamabeans twins wowee! Congratulations, that's lovely news.

BooSaidTheGhost · 23/09/2021 14:15

@Colyflower that's great news on your scans, hope you're feeling ok. Not sure about the FB group, someone else may know, but I'd be up for joining.

The whole super sensitive sense of smell constantly makes
me laugh. I'm like a bloodhound! Today was bin day and I smelt the lorry driving down the road before I saw it

Colyflower · 23/09/2021 19:06

I posted earlier asking if there had been a FB group, do you have the link?

Kelb79 · 25/09/2021 00:46

It’s bad news for me 😞
Went for a reassurance scan today after a bit of spotting yesterday. The spotting stopped and I felt so sure everything was ok but the heartbeat has stopped.
I’m completely devastated.
I need to decide whether to let a miscarriage happen naturally (which can take days or weeks!!), induce it or go for a D&C….
I’ve lost my baby…. But I’ve still got to go through the physical process of actually losing it.
Worst experience of my life!
First pregnancy at 42 after 2 years of trying.
It was such a miracle! Too good to be true obviously.
I’m so scared about what I’ve still got to go through - my body still thinks it’s pregnant - this is so so horrible!!! 😞

sexesam · 25/09/2021 09:21

So sorry for your loss kelb79. Personally I would want baby out but not with a D&C so I would go with the induction and get it done so I can move on.
Be strong and make sure you and your partner talk to each other and don't bottle it up. X

hol56 · 26/09/2021 10:49

My first scan is coming up on the 29th and i cannot wait! DP is wondering if they’ll let him record the heartbeat? Anyone know if this is allowed?

It’s all starting to feel real now, i’m not showing yet but my body is slimming down and i have noticed my weight shifting and distributing differently.

Is anyone else getting unbelievably bloated after eating? It’s the only time i actually look pregnant 😂
