Hello and congratulations, lovely lot.

It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

How are you?

Ladder789 that must have been amazing to find out, congratulations. I once listened to a special series on twins on radio 4 and it made me yearn to be one!! Are you offered extra scans for twins to keep an eye on them? I’m offered monthly ones I think they said, due to my age, which I thought impressive.

I did this just now will be interesting to see what they say based on skull and nub theory ! I’m 16 weeks on Sunday and cannot wait another month to find out the gender! I know this is just for fun but still I did the ramzi theory at 8 weeks and it said girl ... be interesting to see what my 13 week scan says .. I keep dreaming of little girls too !! @Ladder789 I’m jealous you found out I asked at my 13 week scan but she said she wouldn’t have a clue if the gender then 🙈

FinnsMammy · 22/10/2021 12:07

Ok girls that’s 3 theory’s saying girl 😍💕! Will be interesting to see if this is true ! @

@TillyDevon
Yeah will prob be monthly but so far its been every 2 weeks as I had spotting and one bleed

I am praying for a smooth pregnancy but at the same time I would have a scan daily if they let me 😃

Next one is Wednesday coming, tests will be done that day too

TillyDevon · 22/10/2021 14:53

I do hope it goes really well. I had lots of uncontrolled bleeding in my first pregnancy which nonetheless went well but it was so unnerving . It’s really good they’re keeping an eye on you and hope Wedn goes brilliantly

Sabristhebest · 22/10/2021 20:56

Had my 16wk appointment today, went really well! Heard bubbas heartbeat, with a heart rate of 141😍 Asked about the "heart rate determining the gender" and the midwife said its a load of crap. fair point.
Got my 25wk appointment and glucose test booked in and was told to look into booking the flu and whooping cough vaccine, going to take the plunge and book them to have on the same day.

@KikiOB a new addition to the April birthday possy... my SIL is also due in April. Just found out today 💕💕

KikiOB · 23/10/2021 06:56

Full crew @wannabeamummysobad x

PinkCheetah · 23/10/2021 15:42

Hey girls. I'm 16+1 with my first baby and had my private scan today. Found out we're having a little girl 🥰🥰🥰 we''re over the moon.

Ladder789 · 23/10/2021 18:02

To all who have experienced it....past or presently...
What does baby movement feel like?
Obviously in late months its prob pretty easy to tell....but in 2nd trimester?

hol56 · 23/10/2021 21:18

Just booked a gender scan for next weekend! I’ll be 16 weeks+4 days by then so hopefully little one will behave because i can’t wait until 20 weeks :) Has anyone used Ultrasound direct before?

wannabeamummysobad · 23/10/2021 21:28

@hol56 I used ultrasound direct for my 2 early pregnancy scans (13 weeks was too long to wait to see baby). They were great - knowledgeable sonographer, friendly staff and nice facilities (waiting rooms, water, toilets etc). Would definitely recommend.

I've promised DH no more scans until 20 weeks 🙄. Let's see if I can stick to it.

@Ladder789 for me it was almost like tummy rumbling/gas at about eighteen weeks and then by the time we got to twenty it was very definite what it was. I think the first few times I thought it was just gas 😂 x
Staryflight445 · 23/10/2021 23:53

@Ladder789 it can feel like a range of things? It can feel like a little swish, a popping bubble, people often call it flutters.

Staryflight445 · 23/10/2021 23:53

I actually thing sometimes they feel a bit like a muscle twitch? lol

Ladder789 · 24/10/2021 12:11

I was at my 12 week scan and one was moving like crazy... I didn't feel a thing.
The same one had done a 180° sometime in the previous 2 weeks....
It def is a later felt thing so by the sounds of it.

BooSaidTheGhost · 25/10/2021 11:05

I'm 14 weeks today and have felt tummy flutters for the past three evenings, no mistaking it. I remember movement starting this way when I was expecting DD. In other news, I've been told my higher BMI means I'll need to have daily anticoagulant injections from 28 weeks to counteract risk of clots. I weigh less than I did when pregnant with DD so maybe age playing a part here too and there is a family history of deep vein thrombosis. I know it sounds pathetic but the idea of injecting myself with a needle every day is not a pleasant thought!

Staryflight445 · 25/10/2021 11:14

Not pathetic at all @BooSaidTheGhost my bmi is just under 40 and ive been told I’ll need the extra scans but I’d be terrified at the prospect of injecting myself, it’s all for the best though I suppose!

BooSaidTheGhost · 25/10/2021 12:34

Yes, you're absolutely right @Staryflight445, this is what I keep telling myself. I'm going to end up black and blue though I know it, I've never given an injection in my life! My DP says he will help but there is no way I'm letting him do it, he's more clumsy than me Grin

Staryflight445 · 26/10/2021 07:46

@BooSaidTheGhost it doesn’t make it any easier I suppose does it, it being for the best. Can you imagine how many of us would give birth or have a c section if there was a magical alternative?

Pregnancy is scary enough without further additions. Hopefully by the time it comes to doing it you’ll feel a bit more comfortable about it! Best of luck 😊

Ladder789 · 28/10/2021 00:38

Another question guys 🤗
Is anyone on aspirin?
I had my 14 week scan today. Both babies are doing great thank God.
But the Dr. increased my aspirin from 75mg day to 150.
At first he was saying to stop it as I hzve no historical factors and am under 40..but then decided as its twins to continue it.
I feel I should double check....

My OH just says to do what the experts tell me.

TillyDevon · 28/10/2021 01:17

ladder789 I’m meant to be but on 75mg- I have never had high blood pressure though and hate taking anything unless I have to but feeling a bit conscious I must really. I’m 14 weeks and it’s been over 10 years since our last baby which might be a factor I think

Sabristhebest · 28/10/2021 08:47

@Ladder789 yep, I'm taking a 150mg dose of aspirin every night. I honestly don't want to, but needs must. Taking it due to my DMs history of pre-eclampsia, that's all.

Staryflight445 · 28/10/2021 09:00

Has anyone else had their flu jab yet?
Feeling absolutely horrendous today, had mine yesterday 🤯

J09x · 28/10/2021 09:28

Its a boyyyy. 16+1 today! 😁💙
