It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

How are you?

@Eanrcs88 I don't think I have a bump as such - DH has a bigger bump than me 🤣. I'm not entirely sure why she noticed and nobody else has even when I'm in gym gear. Personally until I eat I think I just look fat then once I eat i pop out (to me).

I'm a FTM and the only thing I see is everyone is different. My friend also a FTM had popped at 9/10 weeks though might have been lockdown over indulgence pre BFP whereas my other friend was 7 months pregnant with her 2nd and had the same size bump as my friend in the 1st trimester. She's now given birth to a healthy dd at 41 weeks. And the friend who showed early is in her 3rd trimester and not that much bigger than she was at 10 weeks 🤯

Hello all!

Thank you for adding me. I was in a similar thread for baby number one and it was incredibly useful and reassuring!

I’m 12+4 with baby number 2. Baby number 1 is eighteen months old so April is baby month for us!xx

Staryflight445 · 17/10/2021 12:57

My first and second share a birthday month too! Their birthdays are a week apart ☺️. Currently 14+ 2 with surprise baby 3!
Congratulations @KikiOB

KikiOB · 17/10/2021 14:35

Ah congratulations!! Have all three pregnancies been different?x

FinnsMammy · 17/10/2021 17:59

@Ladder789 sch is a subchorionic hematoma pretty common reason for bleeding during pregnancy! @Staryflight445 I had my vaccine yesterday was grand but I was zapped after it last night was the best sleep I had in a long time lol I’m not looking forward to the second dose though 🙈

Staryflight445 · 17/10/2021 18:41

massivley different every time @KikiOB

KikiOB · 17/10/2021 20:20

I’m starting to realise 🤣🤣

Staryflight445 · 17/10/2021 21:17

I’ve never been so unable to brush my teeth properly. It makes me puke it’s a nightmare, I can’t wait to use my electric toothbrush again and actually brush for 2 minutes.
I’ve been using a child’s one and just scrubbing as much as I can bare 😢😅

Has anyone on here tested positive for Covid-19 since becoming pregnant? Or just had it in general. I have been testing daily this week (LFD) due to staff at work testing positive. I took a PCR test on Friday and on Saturday that came back negative. However my LFD today (2 of them) came back positive. I'm feeling really unwell. Like a bad flu. But just wondered if anyone has any advice? I've not really known anyone who's had it thankfully.
I'm 14+4 today and feeling slightly nervous. I've also not had any of the vaccinations 🤦🏼‍♀️

FinnsMammy · 17/10/2021 22:15

@J09x hopefully you are ok! I did get covid not whilst I was pregnant though. I was asymptotic so no symptoms at all but everyone is different. Rest up and hopefully you won’t get it. If you do likely it will just be a bad cold or flu and hopefully nothing more xx

J09x · 17/10/2021 22:20

Thank you @FinnsMammy x
I'm glad you was okay when you had it. I am definitely feeling the flu symptoms. I'm just really hoping it doesn't get worse. My work told me to inform my midwife I'm not 100% sure why but I think I'll do that tomorrow.

Ladder789 · 18/10/2021 11:53

Hi all
Well the pain is still there and the blood has turned brown. This cycle just keeps repeating.

However had my 12w3d scan today and both babies look great. Lots of movement and measured 12w3d, 12w1d.
I am soooo happy & teary now (with joy).

All I keep getting told is brown is good, which I know but it usually starts with a bit of red, and babies are look good.

There was what looked like a third sac, that seems to be gone now, so maybe it is that. There really is no answers.

There seem to be 2 placentas which is great so all in all, it went so well.
I am telling my family later today. 🤗🤗😶

Ladder789 · 18/10/2021 12:00

@FinnsMammy @J09x
I don't know what to do regarding the vaccine.
I have had my first before pregnancy ans always said I would get the 2nd after 14 weeks.
But I am off work already and won't be returning so I think I might just stay sensibly away from people.
Cut my visits to family down, ensure distancing and open windows when I am there.

I thinks its best to get the vaccine....but would be soooo scared that I would be the unlucky one that gets a bad reaction.

FinnsMammy · 18/10/2021 12:50

@Ladder789 you might just be one of those people that spot during your pregnancy and there’s no known cause for it. I remember when I spotted I read everything under the moon and spotting during twin pregnancy’s came up alot! Still I know it’s nerve wrecking to see the blood but a possible explanation too is the third sack leaving your body at least you know your little babies are growing and safe. Best of luck 😘 xx

FinnsMammy · 18/10/2021 12:55

@Ladder789 hard one with the vaccine I really didn’t want to get it at all. I had covid before but was asymptomatic so I figured I would take my chances but I have found since being pregnant my immune system is definitely comprised so I decided to get it as I do not want this delta variant. Maybe wait until all your spotting is gone anyway at least but it’s a hard one only you can really make that decision! I’m nervous about the second dose but I’m going to do it x

Staryflight445 · 18/10/2021 13:48

Definitely get it @Ladder789 there’s always a chance with anything, including being pregnant in general that something in your life can go wrong.
Cases are on the rise and you can’t completely isolate yourself from it. 1/5th of patients in icu are pregnant and sadly people have lost their babies because they weren’t vaccinated.

If you had your first vaccine you’re unlikely to have a bad reaction or something go wrong with your second.
Best of luck with your decision, but either way it’s a risk and there’s certainly less risk wirh taking the vaccine, it’s why I did it.

wannabeamummysobad · 20/10/2021 13:40

Had my first trimester scan this morning. Sonographer says everything looks normal/healthy. So excited to see baby again at 20 weeks! 💖💙

I had mine yesterday and got the same date!

It’s my mums birthday so my husband was horrified 😂

wannabeamummysobad · 20/10/2021 14:22

@KikiOB Haahaa. Grandma will definitely have a new favourite.

DB birthday 25th April, DC birthday 28th April.

April has always been full of celebration in our family. So excited for the new addition.

KikiOB · 20/10/2021 14:29

@wannabeamummysobad this sounds like our family too, everyone is in April!!xx

TillyDevon · 20/10/2021 22:16

Lovely to find this group and congratulations to all on it- so special even some twins here!

Are there any other older mums? I am 42 and never expected to be back on a birth board as this was unplanned (!) We have two much older dc (one working towards GCSEs) we haven’t broken the news to yet (quite nervous) and due 19/4.

Ours is a boy as it was so clear at 13 week scan sonographer offered to tell us.

BooSaidTheGhost · 21/10/2021 17:53

Welcome @TillyDevon ☺️ yes I'm an older mum with a 6yo DD already. I'll be 41 in April, the same week this one is due! Wow that's amazing that you know your baby's gender already! At my 12 week scan the sonographer twice referred to "she" and to be honest I thought nothing of it at the time, but now I'm wondering!

TillyDevon · 21/10/2021 19:07

Ours said it was unusual to be sure at 12 weeks and that she never usually said and gave the impression not meant to. But said as it was so clear did we want to know so I guess it must vary !

TillyDevon · 21/10/2021 19:09

That’s lovely you are older too Boosaidthe ghost as the others having scans seemed to look like teenagers but very friendly! I was quite nervous of everything being ok this time and still not telling our DC until blood test results just in case so will feel extra special if all ok and baby healthy .
I do hope yours goes really smoothly

Ladder789 · 21/10/2021 22:15

@TillyDevon
39 here, twins are due 29.04.2021 and my birthday is 15th April.
Twins will likely arrive early just before my 40th
13 weeks now and all is going well with the babies so praying that continues all the way to April
