@louloulemons hey! Nice to see you again! I wouldn’t worry too much, as you’ll have had some progesterone going in, how long have you been doing a lesser dose? Just notify the clinic ASAP, they can advise on the next steps!
Sorry for the radio silence over the past 24 hours or so. My spotting increased yesterday morning. I was in work and went to the toilet about 0845. I was bleeding bright red with clots. No mistaking it, no denying what was going on. I rushed back to the department to put a pad on and then went to find my new senior to try and tell her what was going on. I bumped into her in the corridor and I said “ooh, can we have a quick chat as I need to talk to you about something urgently” all smiling and happy, and then I instantly just cried and said “I’m losing my baby”. It was horrific. I was petrified. I then got sent home and as soon as I left works building I rang the clinic and left a voicemail to let them know what was going on. I got home and was so sad, I felt it was all over. I started getting that lightening crotch as I passed a few clots, but then after an hour- two hours it stopped. Then the bleeding slowed, came to almost a stop then late last night it turned back to almost spotting/dark red blood that’s barely there when I wipe again.
Anyway, clinic rang me, and just asked lots of questions and then came to the conclusion that things may be okay (or at least what I gathered) she said that a lot of the things I was saying led her to be reassured (i.e. bleeding wasn't filling a pad, not vomiting, no cramps, no back pain) and when I said I had the lightening crotch type pain, she asked me to clarify and I said I had it intermittently for an hour or so and it was essentially like a sharp spasm in cervix kind of location and then a clot would pass, but no other sensations were present. I also told her that I had food aversions and nausea and she was pleased to hear that too. She then mentioned about the earlier scan being pointless, that they'd consider bloods later down the line but not worth it at the moment (The previous nurse also said the same at the weekend phone call too) and then just said it all sounds promising and things were settling. She then said if I needed anything further, that I know where they are and to not hesitate to ring and she advised me to stay off work until bleeding has completely settled.
On a positive note, my CB digi came back 3+ (my last one was 2-3) and my cheapie tests are still super strong. So I’m hoping I don’t see them tail off by the end of the week 😭
So here I am, in bed. On strict orders to not do anything heavy, so I am off work for a while.
My plan of action is
- To call my GP today to keep them informed and order more meds as they’re due to run out over the weekend.
- Book an early scan (we are going to another town an hour away as it’s the only place I can get a scan before viability date).
- Relax and just hope that everything is okay!
How is everyone? Happy Wednesday lovely ladies ❤️ I hope that you’re all having a better week than I am currently!
