Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

I think it's lovely having them all so close Minnie wish I had had mine closer but I had a horrid pregnancy with DD2 and having SPD. I was told to leave more of an age gap between them than last time and felt my body did need a rest, I was still BFing DD1 at 9 months when I got pregnant with DD2, then BF her for 15 months so felt I needed a break. I finished BFing her May this year then got pregnant in June but sadly lost that one. This one is definitely my last though (hopefully).

expatinscotland · 15/11/2007 21:46

minnie
my muscles went back together with a lot physio, but i really don't fancy their separating again.

ow!

i'm constantly hungry, too.

MINNIE1 · 16/11/2007 09:01

Morning all
Feeling alot better today managed to eat and not feel to sick after it!! Aloud myself a little lie in this morning.

sweetkitty
SPD Ochh that really painfill, Only had a touch with DD2 and OMG i was so sore. Sorry to hear you MC, Its not a nice place to be. I don't mind the gap just want the pg to be over, I hate being PG sometimes esp when running around after two DDs. But i love the bundle of joy in the end. Plus i had 2 christmas babys so this one will be a summer baby..

sfxmum · 16/11/2007 09:50

good morning all

sleepless night here for no reason I can fathom

not feeling much of anything today

Hi Verso - virtual cup of sugar then to you neighbour

baby3 · 16/11/2007 10:06

morning everyone..... feel sick constantly, couldn't even get close to the kids this morning as they both had garlic bread last night and the smell of them made me heave this morning. Also, went to bed at 9.30, woke up at midnight and tummy was going mad and I felt so sick that i didn't get back to sleep until 5am, feeling very sorry for myself now. On a positive, did pay for a private reassurance scan yesterday and saw 7 week old baby with heatbeat beating away, so that made me feel a bit better.... it will all be worth it!

libralady · 16/11/2007 10:16

Well my life just goes from bad to worse. Have had to take the day off work today because my cat isn't well. Took him to vets this morning and they've kept him in as he is dehydrated. So will put him on an intravenous (sp?) drip and run some bloods. I only lost my other cat last month so the last thing I want is to lose this one as well! But he is 17 1/2 and has had a good life, but he has been my baby for so long. He was the first cat I got and I have since lost my other two (one had to be put down due to kidney cancer @ 15 and Ben died in his sleep when I was on holiday last month. He was also 17 but had been living with renal failure for 3 1/2 years. DS is still ill with his cold and DG has 'manflu'. Good job I'm feeling OK.
Still worried though about the lack of symptoms.
Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Used to have alot of no sleep when i was expecting DDs. So feel for you. I think i take all the sleep i can get now

libralady
Hugs to you, your not having a good week at all. We have a dog and like you i would be heartbroken if anything happened to her. Just take it as it come and remember he had a good life if all comes to the worst.
Men do make me laugh if they had to go through pregnancy and birth, i bet there would'nt be a peep out of them after that nor would they complain!!

MINNIE1 · 16/11/2007 10:36

I love this, got it off a friend a long time ago and i though i would share it with you.

When I made women she had to be special. I made her
shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the
world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort....

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and
the rejection that many times comes from her
children......

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going
when everyone else gives up and take care of her
family through sickness and fatigue without
complaining......

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under
any and all circumstances, even when her child has
hurt them very badly...

This same sensitivity helps her to make a child's
boo-boo feel better and shares in their teenagers
anxieties and fears.......

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his
faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his
heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never
hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and
her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

I gave her a tear to shed, It's hers exclusively to
use whenever it is needed. It's her only
weakness....It's a tear for mankind.......

MINNIE1 · 16/11/2007 11:26

sweetkitty & expatinscotland If i am right do you both remember being on the Jan 06 baby arrival thread??? I clicked with the names but could'nt remember why..

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 16/11/2007 13:30

Oh Libralady - big hugs.

Minnie1 - that's a really lovely poem and one that only a woman would appreciate!

I'm off to have a massage as a treat to myself - I love them and it's been at least a year!

sweetkitty · 16/11/2007 14:44

Hello fellow newly pregnant ladies hope the evil MS is staying away from you all. I'm still feeling dog rough but think part of it might have to do with the DDs having colds and me catching it and sniffling a bit too much.

Minnie - yes you are right I was on the Due in Jan 2006 thread, DD2 was born right at the end of January think I was the last one to leave the thread everyone else popped before I did. Were you on there as well under a different name? Expat's DD2 was December I think.

libralady - so sorry about you cat, your cats have been with you a long time it's understandable to be upset and worried.

DP and I are going out for lunch on Sunday and for a bit of Christmas shopping in Glasgow, this will be only the second time this year we haven't had the DDs, won't know what to do with ourselves. Our families don't give us any help but SIL has offered to babysit for a few hours.

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 16/11/2007 15:42

By the way - what does one DO with ones current LO(s) when one goes in to labour???? I was thinking today that there is no-one that could come in the middle of the night that she's familiar with! Or do you take them to someone's???? What if they're working?? oh dear, I'm all of a muddle

cathym · 16/11/2007 16:41

Just joining this thread for the first time! I am due on July 4th. I have also been worried about who looks after my daughter when I have the baby. I am hoping that it happens during the day when she is at nursery or at the weekend when friends would be able to look after her. On a bad day I think its more likely to be an elective c-section because the first one was which means we could plan child care in advance.

expatinscotland · 16/11/2007 16:49

my cervix hurts.

youch.

i know i had a lot of erosion with DD2.

i've got a GP appointment on tuesday, i'm going to ask him to take a peek and do a swap test because i had some very light spotting today when i wiped.

i had spotting once and had a missed miscarriage, had it with DD1 and had an infection, had it with DD2 and it was erosion.

[sigh]

unfortunately, i've been queasy all day and am completely off tea and coffee.

expatinscotland · 16/11/2007 16:50

i'm going to have to travel to hospital and give birth alone this time round.

we live in a rural area and there's no family or anyone we know around to look after the DDs.

sfxmum · 16/11/2007 16:53

welcome cathym

expat hope all is well

when I had mc/ blighted ovum I only spotted at 12wks which was quite upsetting

have my GP appointment on monday really don't feel pregnant at all today, but I think last time things only kicked in at 7wks or so

am lucky to have friends and family near by so not overly worried about who to leave dd with but will likely worry about that when it comes

expatinscotland · 16/11/2007 17:11

this was not planned and tbh, as we are struggling pretty badly right now, i wouldn't be gutted if i miscarried.

i know that sounds horrible, but we're be in dire straights for housing in a couple of years.

i had missed miscarriage back in 2001 - foetus had died at about 8 weeks but i didn't miscarry until 10 weeks, and again, it came as a relief because i was in a volatile, on-off relationship.

i could go either way.

i'll just wait and see till the appointment on tuesday.

OracleInaCoracle · 16/11/2007 17:17

can i dip my toe in please ladies, got my bfp and am due on the 24th july. this'll be my second but have had 5mc's and 1 ep since ds was born. and now im shitting myself so happy!

sweetkitty · 16/11/2007 17:30

Course you can dip a toe in lissie I would say I have about 3 toes in just now

expat - hope it's nothing for you just a bit of erosion or something, bummer about not having anyone to look after the DDs, I know how it feels as we had only moved up here about 4 months before DD2 was due so there was no one to look after DD1 apart from DP. I was extremely lucky in that I had a homebirth DD1 slept throughout and I was v noisy so childcare wasn't an issue. I have a few friends here now and I think they would help out in an emergency.

Cathym - hello and welcome

sfxmum · 16/11/2007 17:34

welcome lissie

expat whatever happens, best of luck those feelings are quite understandable take care

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 16/11/2007 17:53

Hello Cathym and Lissielou!!!

By the way - at what point do you go to see the GP again?? I remember that I went at 9 weeks last time and they were quite surprised to see me and said that they 'couldn't do much for me'. I said that I thought they could perhaps refer me for a 12 week scan... . How many weeks are you all going at?

To all of you who have had mc's and other horrids - fingers cross that all will be well or either way turn out for the best.

Thepuddingchef · 16/11/2007 19:48

Hello everyone, haven't been on for a while as I have been feeling soooooo rough...couldn't even be bothered to switch on mn.

hello all,
Well this post has been speeding along since I last checked! I'm updating the list - I'm still on it (and I'm SO sorry to hear from people who for various reasons have left) but we had a dating scan last weekend and I'm due on 24 June according to the tiny wee baby we saw swimming around!!! So I'm nearly 9 weeks now; this scan was at 7 1/2 weeks and I was astounded by how they were able to find everything - sac all in order, heart seen beating and baby was a massive 1.15cm long! We now don't get another scan til 20 weeks, a bit of a shame as our 12 week scan last time was brilliant and we got a really good photo. however, having some idea of when the baby's due and seeing the heartbeat go was amazing. OK, I could get a bit carried away so I'll stop here. And prob see if there's a June 08 group, although I feel quite attached to everyone here now .
