Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

Thats a good price

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 12:51

Off to the OB wish me luck

mcchesers · 07/11/2007 13:49

good luck Paula!

meglet · 07/11/2007 14:11

sk and mcchesers. Same here, re: lack of full blown symptons. Not tired or sicky and boobs are fine, although my lower back is so stiff that I mentioned to DP I could do with a stair lift. Never had a bad back last time, I guess its partly from carrying a strapping almost 1 year old. I'm going to get to the gym during the next week so I have a fighting chance of dealing with pregnancy and a toddler. I did mini 30 min workouts during my first pregnancy and they did me the world of good, am determined to keep it up this time.

pamirka · 07/11/2007 14:22

re exercise in pregnancy, it's hard to think about it later on so definitely worth getting as much in now as you can, ladies! i cycle to work every day with dd1 in her baby seat, so that's my bit done. not sure what I'll do when I get a big bump though, but a friend who was PG at same time as me last time cycled up til her 8th month with no probs. Swimming also a grand idea. That is, if you have the energy left at the end of the day!

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 15:13

Well he said that there was the beginnings of a sac but it was too soon to see much else. He sent me in for a blood test today and I have to get another on Friday for HCG level comparison. I was hoping for a bit of piece of mind but didn't really get it. Still feel uptight and very anxious

sweetkitty · 07/11/2007 16:08

paula - beginnings of a sac sounds promising just realised you are one more day pregnant than me I know what you mean about being uptight and anxious I feel the same way, I don't think I will be happy until this one is out and in my arms howling. I tried to order the tea but broadband went down just as I was checking out, will do it later.

pamirka - exercise will be out for me in a few months unfortunately due to SPD although I still will go swimming with the DDs as it's more holding them up in the water or sitting in 3 inches of water freezing in the baby pool, I will try my hardest not to let the SPD ruin my pregnancy and time with the DDs.

I could really do with come Sleepytime as well as I was up to 1am last night just cannot switch off and fall asleep means I am a zombie today though. Feel like crap too I have a friend who is on her first cycle of IVF she came on msn and asked me what CD I was (she knows I was ttc) I had to tell her, feel so bad theres a long story why she's having IVF but I will try and keep it brief, need to explain it though so you knwo how crap I feel. She has 2 DSs, was pregnant with no3 a DD, she was in and out hospital with diabetes and was preying she would get to 38 weeks for a section. She did and delivered a 7lbs odds DD unfortunately she had an undiagnosed previa and the surgeon cut through the placenta but this wasn't communicated to NICU for a few hours so the baby lost far too much blood and died 3 days later. My friend was in bits to make matters worse she got sterilised during the op has it reversed but only one tube worked then she got a cyst on that tube so IVF her only hope now. The hospital who admitted the mistake had offered to pay for 3 IVFs but will only pay for one now so this is her last hope.

I know long story thanks if you are still with me but telling her I was pregnant today was hard

GloriaInEleusis · 07/11/2007 17:22

Thinking of you, Paula.

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 18:52

I'm so sorry Kitty that msut have been awful. I'm sure that she is happy for you just probably a bit envious is all

libralady · 07/11/2007 19:05

Hi,
Got the all clear from my consultant today and he was really pleased when I said I was 6 weeks pg. The only thing he has said is that I need to avoid a c-section at all costs unless it is unavoidable. Was proud to say that I'm 'not too posh to push' so would only entertain the idea in an absolute emergency. Have to keep up with my core exercises as my ligaments will stretch and could make my lower back a bit unstable. And he's there to see me if I ever need him. He is such a nice chap and I'll miss him as hopefully I won't have anything to do with him anymore ( in the nicest possible way iyswim)
SK sorry about your friend. It must be so hard for her. I'm sure she is envious, but pleased for you at the same time.
Yook another pg test this morning just to make sure. Still don't feel pg. The test line was bang - there, before the control line had even appeared so it is reassuring.
Hope everyone is well this evening.

Sorry if I've offended anyone who wishes to go down the c-section route. It wasn't intended. Just one of those phrases that's reared it's ugly head in this day and age. Please accept my apologies.

No offence taken libralady. I don't blame you for doing it naturally if it works for you.

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 20:29

Midwife called to say that my HCG levels today are what they should be so lets hope they have doubled by Friday.

sweetkitty · 07/11/2007 21:55

thanks ladies it's just so hard sometimes seeing your friend go through this knowing theres nothing you can do to help, DD1 was 5 months old when her DD was born so we were a bit pregnant together then 4 months later I was pregnant again, I do feel really lucky though, I am keeping everything crossed this cycle of IVF works for her and she gets her baby.

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 21:58

Why did the hospital cut it back to one?

expatinscotland · 07/11/2007 21:59

sticky vibes to you, paula!

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 22:01

Thanks Expat

sweetkitty · 07/11/2007 22:04

paulaplumpbottom · 07/11/2007 22:08

mcchesers · 08/11/2007 09:01

Good for you Paula!

I hope I can get through the next three weeks. Going a bit loopy at the moment.

SK - fingers crossed for your friend from me too.

Just going out to meet a friend for some shopping. Nothing fun, I have to buy a chair.
Where is that winning lotto ticket?

paulaplumpbottom · 08/11/2007 09:06

Good Morning Girls!

Feeling queasy this morning. What are the people at Pregnacare thinking? Why make those pills so big, they must know our gag reflexs are working over time

baby3 · 08/11/2007 10:34

Hello everyone.... ppb i managed to find on the internet some liquid folic acid cause i'm not the best at taking pills normally let alone when I feel sick.... i'll see if i can find webaddress..... i had blood test last week when I would have been just 5 weeks (if not less) and my hcg count came back at 4552, this is now concerning me as i think this is likely to mean either twins or maybe a sign of downs, had another one done today so i'll have to wait until next week to see what that says... just been reading the jun08 thread and they've got some lovely scan pictures on there.... that'll be us next month!!!

mylittleeloise · 08/11/2007 10:41

morning ladies

went to doctors yesterday and got the usual questions, when was last af, am i taking folic acid etc. will get booking appt with midwife in 3-4 weeks. i have been refered to a consultant at the hospital as i have got an under-active thyroid, does anyone else have this? what will happen when i go to see him/her anyone have any ideas, i got it after dd#1 was born so didnt have to last time.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2007 10:52

i prefer Solgar Prenatal vits.

they've been a bitch to source out here, though.

i had some left over from DD2 that were still in date.

paulaplumpbottom · 08/11/2007 11:00
