@Sunsage
Thanks. I've never had it either- such a strange feeling. Like a pulled muscle... hurts to get up😳
Hopefully ease off.

ShiningStarz · 01/08/2020 14:30

@UrsulaSings I hope it's all natural though before that date 🤞 if not then yep I go in on the 9th. Although I'v been told it may get pushed a day or 2 depends on other priority urgent patients.

I'm just back from a 20 minute walk and found myself doing deep breaths in and out, it's hard work now!! Hope the next 5.5 weeks go smoothly.

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 01/08/2020 14:45

I sort of have a dull ache like a pulled Muscle pp- definitely get periods where it’s all very uncomfortable !
I haven’t had any side effects from the iron and been on them for almost 10 weeks so going to plough on with them I think. I was feeling awful before I took them from the Lack of iron so hopefully they are helping who knows !!!

sianyflewog · 01/08/2020 16:19

@HugeAgeGap I was just reading about your last section - just try and remember that every woman’s experience is different, and it’s likely that your experience will be different this time round 🤞🏻
I had amazing care post-section for 36 hours, as I stayed in post-op - and then was expected to do more myself once I was on the ward the next night. Two of my friends had babies by section in May this year and they were in and out in 24 hours. I’m just hoping that they will have changed some of the visiting guidelines by the time these babies come!

Emmy2020 · 01/08/2020 17:40

How is everyone else feeling today?
I feel totally exhausted, went food shopping This morning and that’s all I’ve managed. Just been sleeping most of the day and when I get up my bump feels so heavy and hard and not sure how to describe it but it feels heavy down below too. Anyone else had this? 32+3 weeks.

Lilice · 01/08/2020 20:55

Same here @Emmy2020 I'm exhausted and haven't done much today, probably because my husband is off so i can rely on him looking after the kids while i rest. The heat doesn't help either. I booked a day out to the farm for tomorrow, because if i stay home i just end up in bed 😬

Emmy2020 · 01/08/2020 21:23

@Lilice Yeah I do find I feel better when I’m outdoors, enjoy your day out!
Feeling a bit better now, tummy not feeling so heavy, well still heavy but not as much as earlier.

ShiningStarz · 01/08/2020 22:10

@Emmy2020 snap!! I'm very sleepy too!! I'm still sleeping well enough at night. My bump is hard, moves a lot now and can be sore to turn sides in bed or sofa. 5.5 weeks and counting!!!

ShiningStarz · 01/08/2020 22:26

I ironed the baby clothes this evening! I couldn't not 🙈

Emmy2020 · 01/08/2020 22:43

@ShiningStarz Ooh you don’t have long to go!

ShiningStarz · 02/08/2020 08:17

Nope @Emmy2020 it's getting exciting / scary now!!! Hope you are keeping well.

The only thing I haven't bought is a bouncer/rocker. Can't decide, they vary so much is design and price!!! 🤔

Chanel05 · 02/08/2020 10:40

@ShiningStarz I bought this www.mamasandpapas.com/en-gb/apollo-bouncing-cradle-pebble-grey/p/4499cj600 bouncer and I love it! It makes me well up every time I play the tunes 😂. I got it from another website for £71.

UrsulaSings · 02/08/2020 10:40

@Emmy2020 I have been feeling the same. Getting out of bed is the worst because the heaviness of my bump seems to take full effect from after I have been lying down. I have to sit on the edge of the bed and prepare myself first! Also been sleeping a lot more.

@ShiningStarz I have also got everything now as well. My friend is dropping round some more clothes but I have enough already tbh and soo cant be bothered to wash and sort a load more clothes! Apparently theres only a few things 0 - 3 months and most of it is 3+ months so might just take out the stuff I'll need in the next few months and leave the rest of it to sort out later! Dont think I've got enough space in the cupboard anyway for it all!

Only thing I havent got is a waterproof sheet x 2 for the moses basket, but debating whether to just use these waterproof changing mat toppers instead underneath a sheet. What do people think? Is that a bad idea?

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 02/08/2020 12:55

Yes getting out of bed seems to be the worst!!! Just went for quite a Long dog walk and literally felt like I might give birth by the end!!! Agh! Anyone else with a toddler finding looking after them totally exhausting ?!!!!

glasha87 · 02/08/2020 13:46

Hello! I hope everyone’s keeping well.

33+3 today and feel like the baby is about to burst through my belly, so tight! So sleep deprived too 😴

Very specific query, has anyone experience a low lying placenta in a previous pregnancy? Mine was still low at the 32 week scan, back in at 35 weeks to check. What’s the likelihood of it moving at this late stage? It’s posterior too, the midwife mentioned these are slow to move? They seem very relaxed about it all considering I have a cerclage 😅

ShiningStarz · 02/08/2020 15:24

@Chanel05 that one looks so lovely. The baby in it on the M&P website looks so snug!! I think I'll get something like that, as it's only for about 6 months i don't want to go mad!!!

@UrsulaSings that's great Youv a friend giving you clothes. It all helps :) iv bought 7 sleep suits in NB and up to 1 month. Figured I can pop to next which is on my way home from hospital and run in and buy colourful sleepsuits!! I bought off amazon grey fabric boxes with lids. I'm using those to organise the clothes into sizes and I'm hanging what I'll need first month, you can get size dividers on amazon too they are so cute.

I only got 1 snuz waterproof cover as that's our nighttime one. I haven't bought anything waterproof for downstairs basket but I wasn't planning too either .. 🤔

ShiningStarz · 02/08/2020 15:37

This one looks good too:

Emmy2020 · 02/08/2020 17:08

@ShiningStarz Exciting!
Yeah I haven’t either, got so confused whether bouncer, rocker or swing 😂 Too many options!

Emmy2020 · 02/08/2020 17:11

@UrsulaSings Can’t imagine how we will be as we get further along! 😬 Think maybe I’m even more tired because I wake up about 6 times in the night to go to the toilet!

Emmy2020 · 02/08/2020 17:15

@ShiningStarz That first bouncer looks really nice!

ShiningStarz · 02/08/2020 17:37

@Emmy2020 that's exactly my problem!! There's so much choice I'v been over thinking it!! They are supposed to be great for putting baby in when you want to get stuff done so it's a must haha!!

Emmy2020 · 02/08/2020 17:42

@ShiningStarz Definitely!
Have you decided on a play mat yet? That’s another I can’t decide on 😂

ShiningStarz · 02/08/2020 17:46

Yep @Emmy2020 we went for bright starts 5 in 1. It is a mat with tummy time pillow and turns into a ball pit so get longer use out of it 🤞 It wasn't cheap! Nothing baby is lol

Just catching up with everyone , hope everyone is ok 👌🏼 it seems weird we are nearly at the end now !!
I'm getting a few braxton hicks now which is interesting ! I've got my consultant appointment tomorrow and will hopefully be given a date for my c section. Baby boy is weighing 6lb 6 now 😅 and his head is very engaged so I'm struggling most days. Sleep in my house is a thing of the past !
I had a lovely baby shower with my friends this weekend which was so nice! He was seriously spoilt !

@Sara7455 how are you and Wren ?

@Emmy2020 all I do is sleep now ! I got gifted two playmats , a gymini kick and play and a Freddie fire fly Lamaze one
