@MooseWL that's what I thought. Plus my mum and cousin said they didnt get any stretch marks until they went overdue so was hoping I had good 'stretch mark genes'! I also got boxes go separate things, which has been really useful as baby clothes are so tiny they can easily get all mixed up together in a big bundle in the drawer.

@sianyflewog that sounds lovely, what a nice surprise!

@Lilice ah that's reassuring. I remember reading about hiccups weeks ago and thought I'd just missed that bit or he hadnt hiccupped as much.

I almost went into preterm labour at 29 weeks so they gave me steroids for babys lungs just in case and I wondered whether that had caused it, but obviously not if a lot of you are experiencing the same.

ShiningStarz · 30/07/2020 22:44

@Sunsage I'm in NI too in Belfast. Where are you?

@Sara7455 sounds like wren is doing really well, that's fab. It will be lovely to have him home.

@Lilice we have booked to go to one place near where we live. It'll be mid aug. I just feel we need something for just us before baby arrives.

Oh gosh @CNovittBolden hope you are ok now!! I had few nose bleeds in first trimester but nothing like what Youv described!!

@sianyflewog your friends sound soooo lovely. Hope you had a fab time 😊

@MooseWLi have a really bad feeling about a second wave come sept and the restrictions being back on 😢

@Smilymami I hope you are ok. I had a scan the other day and consultant said it's hard to do accurately so wouldn't believe it was 100% right. I have GD and the sugars can lead to a bigger baby. Good they are checking you out. Ps I passed the blood test and failed the ogtt!! Maybe just treat your diet like you have GD anyways for last few weeks.

Hi @UrsulaSings my due date is the 9th!! My induction has been booked for the 9th!! Hoping I'll go naturally before then. Been doing the positive birthing company e pack and the induction process doesn't seem to be recommended unless of course it's safer.

Think hiccups are pretty normal! Had them loads with my first not so much with this one!
Ugh tomorrow’s weather is going to be hell for us! Though great washing weather ! I’ll be 33+5 tomorrow and going to bite the bullet and wash some little things have been holding off until now!
Anyone else feel huge by the end of the day?!
I also feel this uncomfortable pressure As if baby is going to just come out when I wake up in the morning in particular - anyone else?!

Smilymami · 30/07/2020 23:21

@ChipsAreLife, @MooseWL thanks for your responses, I have a phone call with my consultant coming up soon..so we can discuss it. Certainly need some reassurance as I went into a bit of a panic.
@ShiningStarz yes I know the scans can be misleading sometimes. Looking forward to the next scan to see if it was a bleep, sonographer said it could be babys positioning. Fingers crossed, all will be well. Thank you

ShiningStarz · 30/07/2020 23:27

@MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee I have the pressure! I always wee before I leave for a walk but as soon as I start walking I feel
Immense pressure like little one could just fall out 🤣 haha!! Also when there is movement which is quite a lot these days (I'm 34 weeks) it's like a weak at the knees feeling but obviously right down there. V odd.

Morning Ladies,

Could anyone recommend any sheets for the snuzpod that are a bit cheaper than the Snüz own ones? Reading reviews they don’t actually fit that well so I’d rather not pay the money for them

Thanks
Xx

OrDis · 31/07/2020 09:40

Hi @fin90 I brought the crib sheet sized two pack from asda and they fit. Make sure you get crib size though not cotbed or moses basket

Bubble29 · 31/07/2020 10:09

Morning all, apologised if this is TMI but is anyone else suffering from an increase in discharge? I'm 32+5 have have noticed the sudden increase over the last 4 days or so, so much so my underwear is wet. It's more apprant at night and first thing in the morning.

Ive no itching or anything (sorry if TMI) but it has the mildest smell. Thoughts? Is this normal?

WillowT · 31/07/2020 10:19

@Bubble29 Yes! No such much now but around 26-30 weeks I had it. Thought I had wet myself at first 🤣no other symptoms with it.

I was worried so spoke to the midwife and as long as it remains clear or milky then not to worry but might be worth giving your midwife a call if you are concerned and want a bit of reassurance!

I read on the NHS webpage that this is common but still checked!

OrDis · 31/07/2020 10:25

Had my 32 week appt with the midwife today, all seemed well. Baby still tracking around 95th Percentile but in a perfect curve so she wasnt worried. She did say even if baby continued to track that way and it was accurate she’d still probably only be an 8lb something baby so that made me feel a bit better about pushing out a whopper haha! She’s also head down now woo!

I asked about the hiccups @UrsulaSings and midwife said it’s totally normal- in fact mine started hiccuping whilst on the doppler which was amusing!

OrDis · 31/07/2020 10:28

I’ve got loads of discharge too at the moment @bubble29. I think it’s normal. I’m also not sure if it’s partly sweat at the moment due to it being so hot!

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 31/07/2020 10:33

Yep same about the discharge here ...

Bubble29 · 31/07/2020 10:43

@OrDis @WillowT Thanks for the reassurance! I panicked one night when I went to the toilet in the dark and thought it was my mucus plug 🤭🤣 oh the joys of pregnancy!

mamamemmmer · 31/07/2020 10:45

Anyone on iron tablets?

LatteLover12 · 31/07/2020 10:53

That's great news @OrDis phew!

Yes to the discharge, I thought my waters had gone the other day & it's definitely worse in the morning.

I am @mamamemmmer

ChipsAreLife · 31/07/2020 11:24

I will catch up properly later but @Lilice I paid my £39 last week and got a letter this week saying I'll get full mat allowance. Feeling so relieved! Hopefully it's quick for you too x

So hot here and got midwife later at hospital 🥵

mamamemmmer · 31/07/2020 12:25

@LatteLover12 How are you finding it?

MooseWL · 31/07/2020 12:46

@bubble29 me too. Probably a mixture of sweat for me as well. Lovely. My partner announced to his family the other day "she walked to the shops and had to change her pants when she got home." 🤣🤣🙈

Bubble29 · 31/07/2020 13:10

@MooseWL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lilice · 31/07/2020 13:26

Great news @ChipsAreLife you must be so relieved. I keep checking the mail everyday hoping to get a letter from them as the wait is killing me! Hopefully it will soon be sorted out.
@Bubble29 @MooseWL I've never had so many underwears in my life 🤣 to cope with the number of times i have to get changed

Lilice · 31/07/2020 13:28

@OrDis how to they track the baby's size? Is that when they measure your bump? Ive never been told how big my baby was, even at scans

OrDis · 31/07/2020 14:12

@Lilice yes just with the tape measure. Then the midwife plots it on a graph which is in my notes. Shows she is roughly following the 95th percentile line on that graph. Even the midwife did say to me ‘it’s just a tape measure’ today though, so I don’t even think they think it’s particularly accurate!

HugeAgeGap · 31/07/2020 14:20

@mamamemmmer I am anaemic and was prescribed them at 28w appt but refused to use them. Instead I've started eating red meat and I have Spatone iron water twice a day. In two weeks will be re-tested to see if still anaemic.

Last time I had a baby I was anaemic then too and prescribed iron before leaving hosp, but when I saw GP she said don't bother having them as so little can be absorbed through them but with so many side effects and instead try to change diet to really get the iron in and absorbed and tablets as last resort

HugeAgeGap · 31/07/2020 14:25

Also the tape measure stuff for bump:

I was measured at 32w appt and MW panicked as measuring 5 weeks smaller than should have been with the tape measure. Had the growth scan (second one!) and baby is completely normal size, just already engaged and MW couldn't have measured down far enough with her tape measure!

I'd already had a growth scan at 25w for measuring small at that appointment as well so I really don't think the measurements particularly correlate well with your baby being big or small!

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 31/07/2020 14:38

Yes I’m on iron tablets have been since week 25 ...
