I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

Hi all, I'm new to this and feel a bit of a cheat as i'm PG but not due until 2nd July, however as this is my first post I don't want to start a new thread, so I hope you don't mind me joining this one! i've done 6 tests this week and they have all been positive however still can't believe it. Feeling exhausted and a bit sick already..... had pains too so it's been comforting to read the thread. I have DD born 99, DS born 02 and had 3 MS prior to these PG's. Still very nervous but very excited!

otherwisebecks · 25/10/2007 21:01

Josey - look above and you have the option to switch back to 'classic' - the new page format etc is shit not very good is it!!

Lazylou · 26/10/2007 07:11

Morning ladies!

Just a quick wave to you all. I'm feeling so dog tired today, it was a wonder I managed to drag myself out of bed at all today. Just want to sit in a corner and sleep, but oh no, off to work for me!

Have a good day all, hope everyone is ok. Will pop back later for the latest.

ernest · 26/10/2007 07:26

morning all, I'm biting the bullet and asking if I may also join? I'm due 20th June with no. 4 and am in shock.

libralady · 26/10/2007 07:31

Good morning. God do I not like the new layout! Thanfully there is the link to change it back. Am I old fashioned or something. I know change is progression, but when you've just discovered you are pg you don't need any added complications!
We've some early birds on here this morning. And Debs isn't one of them yet.
Hope everyone is well
LLxx

sophiewd · 26/10/2007 07:57

Welcome, Ernest,Baby3 and Otherwisebecks

BSL Good luck for, amd out all day and will clock in later today to check how you are.

debinaustria · 26/10/2007 08:02

I know LL - I've been beaten to the board this morning!! The boys have a holiday from school today so they got themselves up and put the TV on, I woke up at 8.30!!! Had a rough night's sleep though, kept waking up every few hours which is unusual for me.

BSL - Hope you enjoyed that chinese despite your bedroom visitor!! Is it this morning you have your appointment?

Welcome to Otherwisebecks - don't know about the headaches, I'm buggered if I get one as I'm allergic to paracetemol!!

and welcome ernest - how old are your other 3? I have 2 boys aged 5 and 7, and I'm 38. You're not the only mad one here!!

Pleased to report had my 1st bout of ms of the day, just wolfed down some cornflakes and I'm off for a shower.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 08:11

Just a quicky....yes, it's at 9.30am and we're leaving in 10 mins (traffic and need to drop ds off at friends)

Will let you know later either way.

I'm still worried about babyalfie

ernest · 26/10/2007 08:17

I have 3 boys aged 8, 6 (7 in Jan) and 3 (4 in 3 weeks).

I am dreading telling people and the inevitable gender questions comments, people immediately assuming that I must desperately want a girl because I have 3 sons. It really pisses me off more than I can say. I feel like people think it must be terrible, that girls are so much better than boys, that my 3 boys aren't good enough that I would naturally be desperate for a girl. Major source of irritation for me. Anyone good at thining of cloaked retorts? Sorry, rant over. Big irritation for me. When I had my 3rd son, I got comments like 'never mind/ oh well, I'm sure you'll love him anyway/don't you mind dear, having another boy?/all boys eh? Oh dear etc etc etc. My sil has recently had a dd. If I even look in her direction i get comments like are you clucky for a girl . I couldn't just be clucky, I would have to be desperate for a girl, in the whole world's eyes.

As you can see. this is a big sore point for me.

and strangely I love all 3 of my sons and would be delighted to have a 4th son . AT the end of the day you get what you're given anyway, there's no choice involved, so arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .

phew. feel better for that. I'm not going to tell anyone till I'm - 39 weeks or so. i just can't bare the stupid comments

libralady · 26/10/2007 08:18

Good luck BSL I'll be thinking about you {{{{{bigs hugs}}}}

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 08:20

Thanks LL - just waiting for dh to brush ds's teeth etc then we're off - if I hadn't reminded him I swear they'd have been forgotten again!!! Men!

libralady · 26/10/2007 08:24

Oh ernest feel free to rant on here. That's what we're here for. At the end of the day we are just lucky to have children and it really doesn't matter what it turns out to be. It does infuriate me also. I've got 1 DS who's 3.6 and fortunately my initial reaction was that I wanted a boy (feel girls are too much trouble and the worrying when they are older..............) towards the end of my pregnancy I just thought to myself, it's taken you over 3 years to get thius child so be grateful for what you get. This time I am just open minded - although I do still have DS's clothes so it would be cheaper (ha ha)

3rdontheway · 26/10/2007 09:57

Hi im going to tell him soon. There are other things going on in my life at the minute and thats why I namechanged.
Im positive he will be happy but theres a lot going on at the minute so im keeping it quiet for a few days.
Also dh sister is trying for a baby and nothing is happening and she is upset so I dont know when to tell that side of the family.

ChinaSurprise · 26/10/2007 10:19

Still no sign of baby alfie - really hope all is okay.

otherwisebecks re the headaches - sorry if this sounds obvious, but you might just be dehydrated. I normally am good with the water and drink a couple of litres a day, but that's more than doubled now am pg - just so thirsty all the time. You can be dehydrated before you get thirsty and dehydration deffo causes headaches so you could try drinking more water. This could also help to regulate body temp issues so many of us seem to be having - I veer between too hot and FREEZING hands at the moment. And DH keeps turning the heating off. Grrrrr.

Saw an old friend yesterday and was telling her my plans for homebirth and she gave me the whole horror story about how she had a HB and her son got stuck and she was rushed to hosp and had an epi and ventouse and forceps etc etc. Thanks! There's definitely something in not telling people to avoid their well meaning horrorstories advice.

babyalfie · 26/10/2007 11:07

Hello Iam here.. sorry I was unbale to log on last night for soem reason on the internet....

Well I had a scan and they could see nothing again in the sac doing a tummy scan so had another vagainal scana nd then we saw a tiny little baby quite amazing really. You could see the heart beat clearly and a black circle where eyes would be forming... so all is okay. Thanks so much for your vibes.
I thought everything was okay as I have been feeling so so sick but so happy now the baby is alive and well. I am 6 weeks 4 days... does anybody know is the 20th of june about correct for that duration.

I am now going to catch up on thread as to what is going on with you. Thanks so much for your support.

3rdontheway · 26/10/2007 11:14

Im 6 weeks today and my EDD is 21st June. So you must be 17th June Babyalfie! Congratulations btw.

ChinaSurprise · 26/10/2007 12:25

That's great news babyalfie - so pleased to hear all is good. How exciting!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 12:37

Thanks everyone. They couldn't see baby but could see a gestation sack and yolk sack. They said it's measuring 5+5 and they wouldn't be able to get a heartbeat until 6+ weeks. I've got another scan next Friday and they'll know for sure because if it still measures the same and no heartbeat, they'll know the baby didn't make it. Otherwise, fingers crossed, there will be a slightly bigger sack and a heartbeat. Now I've got to try and not think about it for a week otherwise I'll go mad!!! Oh....blood pressure is low and she said it will get lower (if pregnancy ok) as I get further on so I have to be very careful getting up etc - explains why I nearly passed out the other day when tidying the playroom!!

Thanks for all your support xxx

Babyalfie - so pleased all is ok. I'm convinced mine isn't because I have NO symptoms anymore but fingers crossed it's just because we're all different. Sooo relieved it was ok as I was really worried when we didn't hear back. xx

josey · 26/10/2007 13:52

BSL sounds positive glad it wasnt bad news, can you remind me are you on holiday from mindee's could it be like some of us have been saying the rest is making symptoms vanish? fingers crossed next weeks scan is even better news, and no sign of twins so thats one less worry for you xx

babyalfie glad you got on ok as well must have been scarey for nothing to have been found at first.

otherwisebecks could you use that thing you rub on your head cant remember what its called or the cool pack things also lots of water does help.

Welcome ernest lol at not telling anyone till 39weeks, if they say anything just tell them you are hoping for another boy but then you will have the aw what a shame if it is a girl

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 13:58

josey - yes, I'm usually VERY busy with all the kiddies and I have this week off so you never know. Still have a bad 'feeling' but no point in worrying until I know for sure. And yes, she said one sac! She said too early to say about twins but I said I'm pretty sure the twins in my family are 2 sacks therefore that means the double egg yolkers were wrong!

3rdontheway · 26/10/2007 14:03

Hi bloodsuckinglooney I hope you are doing ok and that next weeks scan goes well for you.
I was just reading further back there about you under the Duvet eating last nights chinese! I burst out laughing as that could have been my dh! I hope there wasnt too much spilt chinese on your chin

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 14:16

Thanks and yes, dh and I have laughed about it since but can you just imagine!!!

GardenAngel4 · 26/10/2007 14:18

Hello all, can I join you??....got a BFP last night...still trying to process it all and what it's going to be like with a 15 month gap (DD 6 months)....potentially due 25th June and am obsessing already that I was very stressed and didn't eat much in 2 weeks post conception.

Will lurk for a few days and catch up on the thread. Nice to see some familiar names here
