I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

Welcome Skibump! Wow June 13! I wouldn't have thought you'd get a positive pregnancy test yet. You can check your due date by putting your dates and length of cycle into this OV calendar.

www.babyhopes.com/ovulation-calendar/index.html

I have told: all my friends, all my family, two people at work, someone I saw on the street earlier.... Kidding! When I lost my last baby everyone knew cos I published the fact I was PG in the church magazine (which I edit) . I had got to 12 weeks so thought I was safe...

But it was SO nice to have so many people praying for me and wishing me luck after my MC. I think it is worse if you have a MC when nobody even knows you were PG, so I'm telling everyone before it has a chance to go wrong again!

Have felt a bit rough today, like a hangover which is the feeling I got last time. Had no proper sickness last time but was kind of hoping for it this time for reassurance. May well regret that wish!

Soph- hello- hurrah, hurrah, lovely to see you. And thanks.

STill waiting to feel yucky nh....but making the most and eating lots now so thaat I have caloriews on my side when the vomiting starts....at least that's what I keep telling myself!!!!!!

And the doctor reckons due date 1 June 2008...

skibump · 26/09/2007 19:21

Ok, I admit I haven't had a BFP yet, they're all thin, weedy (but definite) positives but I do now have BFBoobs! I've based the date on a bog standard calculator which assumes a 28 day cycle, so it's probably a bit late (ds was 2 weeks 'early' so that probably fits with what you're saying nh101). We're not telling anyone in RL just yet - but we probably will soon cos I found the support I got during & after my mc really helped

Goingfor3, I know exactly what you mean, I'm just trying to take the view that it was all for the best really - right now I'm happy just to be having another go iyswim.

carnation · 27/09/2007 09:22

Hi hope you don't mind the intrusion but I am really worried. My L.M.P. was the 27/8/ I got this taste in my mouth about 2 weeks ago. I did a Boots test 5 days after it was negative. I did another predictor test on Monday this too was negative. I am still not convinced. I still have the taste and had all the signs for starting M.P., but nothing has happened. It could be worry, but as you all seem to have found out so soon I need some reassurrances that pregnancy tests are most probably right.

nh101 · 27/09/2007 11:47

Carnation, a negative pregnancy test is not always correct - you could still be PG. A positive is a positive but a negative could be wrong. Some people don't get a positive till days after their period is due. When was yours due - was it Tuesday? Are you usually regular? It's not over till your period arrives!

nh101 · 27/09/2007 11:48

Skibump - that's a BFP in my book! So sorry to hear about your loss, you are lucky to have got PG again so quick. It took me six months and Clomid! Hope all goes well for you.

OP posts:
carnation · 27/09/2007 11:53

Thankyou for that nh101, yes it was Tuesday and have been fairly regular until recently which I thought could be due to menopause, maybe. I just thought as you all seem to have had a BFP so soon thought that if I was that I would have had a BFP.

systemsaddict · 27/09/2007 13:30

Hi guys - horrid night last night - ds slept through so his ear is not painful any more - but I went out to dinner with friends (pizza) and came home really sick. I started feeling ill as soon as I was in the restaurant - it was so hot, noisy and smelly - and then after I started eating felt miles worse. Up throwing up all night and now really worried about baby - don't know if pg sickness or an unrelated bug. I know it's irrational and I know tummy upsets don't cause mc but has anyone got any reassurances for me ...

goingfor3 · 27/09/2007 13:39

Oh systemsaddict, sorry you didn't enjoy your night out. When I was pregnant with DD2 I frequentley had bouts of either diarriah or vomiting, very month infact like clock work. DD2 was fine and was a 9lb 1oz fatty so suffered no ill effects.

systemsaddict · 27/09/2007 13:46

Thank you so much for quick response goingfor3, that is what I needed to hear. I wasn't sick last time at all so am not used to this and have no idea what is 'normal', so it's good to hear about other people's experiences - I didn't realise for instance you could get pg-related diarrhoea as well till I did some web searches this morning. I guess also 4 nights sleep deprivation don't help me feel rational - I slept more when ds was newborn than I have this week!!

foxybrown · 27/09/2007 13:51

Just ducking in from June 07 to wish you all good luck. I can't believe June 08 is here already - we'll be looking out for you ladies, and don't forget to swap pressies and have a 'secret babyshower' later on in your pregnancies.

I was the last to go on ours, due 29th June, arrived 12th July.

and a wee bit too!

nh101 · 27/09/2007 14:06

Thanks Foxybrown - we are all just [shitting ourselves]!

Systems - my friend was violently sick for days at about six weeks and then had some bleeding but all was fine and she is going in for a section tomorrow (they reckon s/he's a 9lb+ baby like g43's so maybe it is an omen for you!)

OP posts:
systemsaddict · 27/09/2007 14:42

Well ds was 9 lb 15 so it wouldn't be out of the question!! Thanks nh101 - still feeling rubbish but feeling a bit better about it now.

07mumstheword · 27/09/2007 20:45

Hi there can I join in?

I had an early MC in July (5+3) and have been TTC since. Gone through desperate feeling and being obsessed so this month decided to relax. AF due Sunday but I am so impatient couldn't wait and did a First Response test this morning and it showed positive, albeit a little faint but a line is still a line right??

Haven't told DH yet as he doesn't like the line tests and need to see the digital test flashing "PREGNANT" so I am going to do one of those tomorrow morning and if positive will let him in on it tomorrow!!

I am numb, so afraid to be excited because of MC last time so it is brilliant to hear other peoples experiences. Anyway I don't want to be negitive so positive thinking for another positive tomorrow!

Oh and I've been feeling quite sick today, can't decided if I'm imagining symptoms but I actually feel quite grateful for it!!

goingfor3 · 28/09/2007 07:59

Congratulations 07mumstheword !!! I also had a really early result with a fr test on 10 days dpo. Most of us on here have had a mc is the last few months so I am sure we will all be panicking together!

07mumstheword · 28/09/2007 08:53

Thank you goingfor3, I'm glad there are others to share my joy and fear's.

I did a Clearblue Digital this morning and it came up Pregnant so I think I can believe it's true now. I think my due date will be 9th Jun. I've started to worry about MC but I'm trying not to think too much about that I mean just because you've had one MC doesn't mean you are likely to have another.

I've been feeling quite sick the last couple of days and I actually feel grateful for it! I'm always tired, proabably something to do with DD 2 1/2 Yrs!

flosspot · 28/09/2007 10:18

COngrats mumstheword...welcome, and as G43 says, many of us are in a similar position, so we can all help each other through.

I'm starting to get the first signs of nausea, which is good, but am getting stronger cramps and worrying frantically that this means bad news. I lost the last one round about this point so very wobbly. Might go back to bed and watch crap daytime tv for a while.

sweetbean · 28/09/2007 12:24

Hello everyone

congratulations to all the newbies so nice to see lots of BFP'S !!

im terrified of Mcing i had my mc in march and was only brave enought to start trying again this cycle. i feel so lucky to have a bfp so soon but im really worried i will mc so i havn't told ANYONE except DP and all of you.

So lots of positive sticky baby dust to us all from me xxxx

nh101 · 28/09/2007 12:47

Congrats mums the word! My DH didn't believe it at first either but a line's a line.

Floss I have also been getting funny pains like OV pains I think but I am not sure cos I could never really pinpint what OV pains felt like! But it seems to be in the right kind of area. Backache and some period-type pains too - I reckon it's a good thing, the baby bedding in.

I thing we are all in the situation of having had a previous MC but the likelihood is it won't happen - because not only do most pregnancies (3 in 4) turn out OK, most women who have a MC then go on to have a healthy pregnancy next tme around.

So the odds are definitely in our favour!

07mumstheword · 28/09/2007 13:48

Checked test again and not faded

Congratulations to all of you too!

Flosspot - How was the crap daytime TV? Are you feeling any better? Try not to worry, I had unusual aches Wednesday night and thought AF must be on it's way but now think it may have been impantation (if thats the right phrase) pains.

Sweetbean - Wow you did so well to fall PG so quickly. Congrats.

nh101 - Thanks for the statistics very very encouraging.
