This is my first baby and im extremly excited.

welshmum · 31/10/2004 21:00

tessie - I've gone off chocolate too - completely - even give up my Sunday pain au chocolat, gone off alcohol too - which makes it very easy not to drink at all. Also gone off salad which I usually eat like it's going out of fashion - have taken to large amounts off coooked veg in the firm canteen - what's that about!

Tessiebear · 31/10/2004 21:03

Welshmum - i am so into the veg too - last Sunday i forced a pain au choc down as usual but this Sunday just didnt fancy it!

welshmum · 31/10/2004 21:07

And what's worse is that we now have 2 big boxes of chocs here that we bought for the trick or treaters (who never materialised) and I wouldn't eat them if you paid me. there's no justice

pandagirl03 · 31/10/2004 21:07

helo tessie

i've gone off chocolate too infact everytime i eat im sick, its the only thing that does make me sick.

Yellowbelly · 31/10/2004 22:44

Hi there
Just returned from a week in Spain and have missed so much. Also don't have access to the net at work so am out of touch all day! I also have the expanding tummy - can't believe it. Have been thinking that maybe I'm imagining it because I have been trying for 4 years and have been so envious of pregnant ladies!
Katz - don't know if the accupuncturist in Sheffield is the same one that I visit (clinic in town and up Ecclesall Road), but if it is I would recommend her for your sickness. She is a miracle worker!! After 4 years of trying and various fertility treatments I got pregnant after 3 months of her accupuncture and chinese herbs. Am still seeing her weekly. Go for it if it's still a problem!

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 09:19

Morning everyone!!!

Tessiebear - the 1st day of my last cycle was 23rd Sept and I think I ov'd around day 17. I've got a doctors appt on Wed so hopefully they will confirm my due date then but at the moment I'm going with 30th June.

Told family etc this weekend about being preg which was nice. Dh let it slip to our dd while I wasn't there which I was quite about - he thought I was over reacting of course.

Then yesterday I started feeling a bit off for the first time - I had a cracking headache and was tired from the weekends activities. My dh was a totally insensative arsehole!!!!!!
I admit I was a bit off with him but he was really horrible all day - so now we are not speaking

Does anyone else have a dh who is being more of a bastard than a caring and loving dh??????

LipstickMum · 01/11/2004 09:30

Sorry to hear your dh is being a bit of an arse sweetheart. Unfortunatley, I can't sympathise (at the moment) because my dp is so excited and although not exactly pandering to my every need, he is being quite understanding e.g. makes dd's porridge in the morning, I can't stand the smell, even though he doesn't really have time. He'll come round, I hope!

Major sickness this morning, wretching at the smell of dp's brewing coffee this am, managed not to puke though.

How's everyone else this morning?

Tessiebear · 01/11/2004 10:11

Felt a bit queezy when i got up this morning but fine now! Sweetheart - my DH is being fine at the moment - quite sweet -BUT THE SECOND I GET M/S - he will become an insensitive B*stard!!!

welshmum · 01/11/2004 10:12

Morning all.
I'm pretty good Lipstick thanks for asking! This despite the clocks going back confusion - dd getting up at 0530. She should be ok in a couple of days though.
Sorry about your arsey husband sweetheart - I hope he starts to behave better soon. I'm afraid mine's being a darling so can't complain at the mo

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 10:30

I left my handbag in the supermarket over the weekend!!! Duh - pregnancy brain I guess.

Dh is picking it up for me this morning and dropping it off at my office. I'll take the oppertunity to tell him what an arse he was yesterday. He'll probably blame it all on me being in a bad mood (my dh has never learnt to say "I'm sorry" or admit when he's wrong )

Can i borrow one of your dh's!!!! They all sound fab

Tessiebear · 01/11/2004 10:32

The words SORRY or WRONG are not in my DH's vocab either - your DH sounds v. similar to mine Sweetheart!

welshmum · 01/11/2004 10:33

The main reason Dh is in the good books is because he let me stay in bed on Sat and Sun mornings. That is worth the world to me at the moment!

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 10:38

lol Tessiebear!!!!!

I agree with the ms thing too!!!

I wouldn't mind but we threw a huge bonfire/fireworks party on Saturday for the kids in HIS family which I ended up doing most of the work for!!!!

Needless to say that is why I was feeling so crap yesterday.

If he's like this now I shudder to think what he'll be like when I'm laying on the sofa trying not to be sick and giving out my demands!!!!!

I've been having a few dizzy spells - like a head rush when you stand up - is this normal?!?!?!?!

Tessiebear · 01/11/2004 10:44

I have heard that dizzy spells are very common in pregnancy Sweetheart - especially 1st 3 months. My DH said to me that he is sure i wont get as sick as i got with the last two because "you are so much busier than you were back then ... so you wont have time to think about it" UH?? Like its all in the head??? M/S only EXISTS "if you think about it" .... there is your cure everyone!

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 10:46

That sounds like a very typical male thing to say!!!!!!

welshmum · 01/11/2004 10:49

Are you all hanging on like grim death to your ordinary clothes? I've had to put one pair of jeans in the back of the wardrobe but apart from that I'm still desperate not to buy anything new until I have to. I'm trying to avoid buying a bigger size of anything because it looks so ill-fitting. Don't know how long it'll last though - everything thing feels a bit too 'cosy' by the end of the day .

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 10:50

I've still gotta loose my last 2 bloody pounds for weight watchers!!!!!!

I've got a weigh in tonight - I'll be sooooooo cross if I haven't lost them

welshmum · 01/11/2004 10:55

Good luck sweetheart - let us know how you get on

Uwila · 01/11/2004 10:59

Yeah, I have my share of complaints regarding DH (or somtimes just plain H). Don't even know where to start. Sometimes he's nice and very loving. And other times, he expects the world to evolve around him. He's rude when he wants to be. and when he's done being rude, he expects me to be happy loving wife like nothing has happened.

Unfortunately, if he can't learn to put his family responsibilities before his hobbies (incidentally I no longer have my hobbies because I have to look after dd and house on the weekend so that he can maintain his hobbies) he is going to be a lonely man in a few years.

zephyrcat · 01/11/2004 11:02

Uwila - so glad you put that post up. It makes a world of difference to know someone else's 'H' is like that!

Tessiebear · 01/11/2004 11:09

Zephyrcat - lol at our H's! Who ever put the D in front of it anyway. Agree totally Uwilla -DH has loads of hobbies - my "hobbies" include running the kids to all there hobbies, making sure H has his meals on time so he can get to his hobbies ... making sure the whole family have the right equiptment / clothes washed for their hobbies ... ooo thats about it for my hobbies - does watching telly at the end of the day count?

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 11:17

Uwila so sorry to hear that things are bad for you ATM.

A few months ago H and I went through some real troubled times - ours was about my H's lack of ability to admit when he's wrong and say sorry.

Anyway - I left the house for the best part of the weekend as I couldn't stand to be around him.
Then when I'd calmed down we went to some neutral terratory (just the two of us) and had it out big time!!!!! I basically told him - change your ways or I'm leaving.

He's been better since - could you perhaps do this with your dh?????

MrsWednesday · 01/11/2004 12:01

Blimey, you girls have been chatting this morning! Really annoying, I've got loads of work to do today!

To all those who have gone off chocolate - package it up and send it to me, because I haven't! I don't usually have a sweet tooth but I definitely need biscuits and chocolate at the moment. Have gone off healthy food instead - am really struggling to find fruit I like and after being on a fish frenzy for ages I now can't stand the smell of smoked mackerel (even typing that made me feel pukey).

Welshmum, I'm definitely struggling to find clothes that fit at the moment, I'm so 'wide'. I've got no waist at all. Nice. Am definitely not feeling 'blooming' as I've got really bad skin too, and my hair is falling out! Is this happening to anyone else or just me?

Sorry your DH is being a git Sweetheart. Sounds like he needs a good hormonal yelling at (by all of us!) Mine is ok at the moment - when he's around, which isn't often as he's working ridiculously long hours. I have to try and restrain myself when he comes home and complains he's tired - I'm the one that's looking after DS, the house, cooking, cleaning, washing etc AND growing a baby!!!!

Pandagirl03, I'm 8 weeks today.

LipstickMum · 01/11/2004 12:03

AM feeling sick and tired. Agree with you about the clothes Welshmum, it's a nightmare. SO much to do today, so tired.
