Yes to the reflux. I started omeprazole last week and it's made a big difference. I think baby has also moved down a bit, which has helped. I rarely want to eat dinner these days, I feel there just isn't room.

Blizy · 03/05/2020 08:35

Reflux is the devil! Let's pray that our babies don't suffer with it. My ds suffered horridly as a baby and still does now at 5 years!
I had to go into maternity assessment last night with reduced movement. Of course baby went totally bananas as soon as I was hooked up! I have a urine infection and was in until 2:30am as my baby kept wriggling away from the sensors and they needed a good 40 mins of a steady trace.

BabyBird20 · 03/05/2020 08:48

@ blizy that's exactly why happened to me on Friday! Reduced movements followed a hyper baby with a spiking heart rate! I have to go back on Monday for another trace so they can get his

BabyBird20 · 03/05/2020 08:49

Oops posted before I finished!!
They need to do another trace to her his baseline heart rate and check it's all normal! Might have another growth scan too.

SearchingTheSkies · 03/05/2020 08:52

Sorry that so many of us are dealing with reflux. Mine has mostly led to a really dry throat that almost feels constricted at times. I've been feeling a bit nauseous on and off but hadn't necessarily connected it to the reflux. I really hope the reflux babies get is not as bad!!

Bit of a grey day here so far. I'm going to get some marking done for school and then make a giant list of all the things I still need to order/find for me and baby.

newbyxx · 03/05/2020 09:11

@AndddddHerewegoagain any news?? Your due date was middle of may wasn't it??

AndddddHerewegoagain · 03/05/2020 09:23

Hi @newbyxx still very pregnant here im afraid. 38 weeks this week so need to start making some effort to get the baby out or they want to induce me because of GD.

newbyxx · 03/05/2020 09:34

Ahh was thinking of you and you've been quiet recently haha hope your little one gets moving! I'm having to be induced to at 39 weeks but hoping he may come by himself before that! X

newbyxx · 03/05/2020 09:34

@AndddddHerewegoagain

AndddddHerewegoagain · 03/05/2020 09:53

I'm just waiting for the new crib to arrive as our other one got broken. Not sure when or how as it's been in storage but once thats arrived I will be trying everything to get her out!! Going to ask my midwife for a sweep this week to see if that helps

Is anyone else planning/thinking they are most likely going to have little choice but give birth alone?

Missgemini · 03/05/2020 10:45

I, too, have been having reflux on and off. But to be fair, it tends to be worse when I've eaten a midnight snack of a sandwich or something ridiculous like that. But I can't help it. I get so hungry at ridiculous times!

@andddddherewegoagain I'm so excited for you! So close! Eeeeeeeeeee

@MsMiaWallace oh no! Why are you planning for that? I am taking the DH wherever I go now. Don't want to accidentally go into labour alone!

SearchingTheSkies · 03/05/2020 11:00

@MsMiaWallace Is that the protocol at your hospital? My hospital are allowing birth partners during active labour so I'm hoping that's still the case in 8 weeks!

@AndddddHerewegoagain You're so close!! So exciting!

MsMiaWallace · 03/05/2020 11:11

It's not what I want to happen obviously!
It's if we can't get childcare for my other children when the time comes.

Busylizzie85 · 03/05/2020 11:18

@AndddddHerewegoagain so close now I can't wait for all the baby announcements!

Any one constantly hungry I swear I am all day long? I thought maybe my body is trying to build up energy or something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

35+2

LillianFullStop · 03/05/2020 12:07

So close @Andddddherewegoagain! I can't wait for baby announcements Smile hope your cot comes soon.

When would they induce for GD 39w?

Rinoa · 03/05/2020 12:17

@Busylizzie85 yes I'm always hungry! Always thinking of food and what to eat next 😂🙈 like today I really want a big juicy pepperoni pizza and iced cold still lemonade.

AndddddHerewegoagain · 03/05/2020 12:25

@LillianFullStop 40+2 but i have a scan at 40+1 because ive told them i don't want to be induced. Im not quite sure what the outcome of that scan will be 😂 but I'll be taking my hospital bag with me just incase i don't get to leave.

Parents are driving me mad with childcare. My dads trying to get a date out of me like im keeping it secret and actually know the exact time and date the baby will appear 🙈🙈 and then how long will i be in hospital, how long do i want them to stay after. GO AWAY Grin

OP posts:
Busylizzie85 · 03/05/2020 12:46

@Rinoa I have been addicted to lemonade last week or so!! I have to admit also I scoffed down a pepperoni pizza on Friday night 🙈

SearchingTheSkies · 03/05/2020 13:22

@Busylizzie85 @Rinoa I am seriously considering having pizza tonight. I'm always peckish but feel almost too full to eat a lot of the time. It's really odd.

@MsMiaWallace Oh I see! I really hope you can get something sorted. A friend of mine was stuck for childcare so ended up having a home birth in the end.

UKtoSK · 03/05/2020 13:32

So tired today from being up half the night I started crying in the street on the way back from buying gaviscon. So grateful for my mask and sunglasses allowing me to hide it from passers by. God knows what they’d have thought of my husband walking along with a sobbing pregnant woman 😂😂

Magpiefeather · 03/05/2020 13:37

Now I want some cloudy lemonade!!!

umabb · 03/05/2020 15:18

Saw the hospital bag chats and lists here decided to get serious with my packing too (finally) 😂thanks ladies. Baby clothes now washed (so many of newborn stuff got a bit carried away probably) and have more stuff in my bag now. Feel More prepared!
I got a lot of hiccups too 3-4 sessions everyday. Asked specialist said it's all normal no worries at all. xx

@AndddddHerewegoagain I'm really excited for you looking forward to the news xx

34 today

Chels2 · 03/05/2020 15:56

Ladies, do you all get regular movements? This Whole pregnancy the baby hasn’t been very active & I just kept thinking it would get more active the further I got, however I’m 33weeks now & there still the same? I’ll feel the odd kick during the day & slight movement & then at night when I’m in bed he’ll move quite a bit but that’s really it? My mums starting to get worried which is getting me worried 🙈 I have my midwife on Tuesday so I’m planning on saying to her then but just wondering what everyone else’s experiences are?xx

LillianFullStop · 03/05/2020 16:08

Good idea to bring your bag on a 40w scan @Andddddherewegoagain - could you opt for an ELCS over an induction if that would be your preference? Wow you are 2 weeks away! I won't be far behind my ELCS will be in 4 weeks time so definitely counting down!

@umabb my bag is mostly ready except for my supply of snacks - I better get on that this week!
