September 2020 babies?

EssJayyCee · 04/01/2020 21:32

I'd like to share my journey with some moms-to-be with a similar due date.

I think I'm due around 9th September 2020 but I've had no scans yet.

This will be my first baby after TTC for 17 months! With very irregular cycles. I was in the process of fertility appointments- my next one was to get medication to help so I feel very lucky!

I think I am around 4weeks+3 but I am taking a CB Digital in the morning to see what that says.

Looking forward to chatting to some of you lovely ladies!

My skin is also so dry and flaky! No matter how much I moisturise Blush bloody side effects of such a wonderful thing.

SavanahXx · 30/01/2020 18:32

@Louisg snap with the nausea. I feel sick 24/7. And heave at most things. It's horrible. I hope this stage passes soon. Also snap to the vagina pains haha. I seen the midwife today and she said it's nothing to worry about, apparently you get more aches and pains after already having a baby because your uterus has been stretched before.

It only took 3 weeks. But I've finally been booked in for an early scan. The midwife said that it's only usually after you have had 3 consecutive miscarriages. But as soon as I said yeah but im sure my risk of miscarriage should be low given I'm young, fit and healthy, yet have had 3 miscarriages, and they haven't been extremely early ones. It must of made some sense to her anyway because she rang the epu and I'm booked in for a scan at 2pm on Wednesday. I'm just praying for good news 😄😄

I hope everyone is doing well x

Babymummasoontobe4 · 04/02/2020 21:24

Hey went to see midwife yesterday and she called epu, managed to get a scan that day and baby is doing absolutely well...she said I'm 9 weeks :) she understood why I was so scared ...3 more dreadful weeks to get through before i can tell my kids x

@Babymummasoontobe4 im so glad your scan want well! Them little feet. Too cute! I've got my scan tomorrow. Should be 9+3, hopeful for good news. My anxiety is through the roof! Did you get to see the little one moving?

Babymummasoontobe4 · 05/02/2020 05:47

@SavanahXx hey thank you my anxiety went through the roof whilst I was being scanned I was shaking so much much I could hardly breath..omg it was amazing the little legs were moving about and the heart was beating so fast, they let me sit and look at the screen for a few minutes which was lovely..good luck for today, you will be fine, enjoy seeing youre baby 😘

Bubble29 · 05/02/2020 06:31

@Babymummasoontobe4 argh this is so wonderful! 😊

We are going to book a scan for 9 weeks too.... 2 more weeks to go! 😬

How is everyone? My nausea peaked on Sunday but has subsided this week. Such a weird feeling as I'm now questioning is everything is okay that I feel relatively normal.

SavanahXx · 05/02/2020 14:49

@Babymummasoontobe4 thank you for your kind words. I panicked and prepared myself for the worst for no reason! Baby's absolutely fine and even waved at mummy and daddy. They pushed my date back by 2 days, so I'm now 9+1. I'm so glad the little bean is ok 😆😆

Babymummasoontobe4 · 05/02/2020 17:22

@SavanahXx omg that's brilliant news I'm so happy for you ..what's youre due date ?? I'm due 8th September :)

Babymummasoontobe4 · 05/02/2020 17:23

@Bubble29 my nausea is there but not as bad ,my boobies are always hurting at the minute..but apart from that I feel human x

SavanahXx · 05/02/2020 17:44

@Babymummasoontobe4 it was amazing. I sat there and said "why does the baby chose to be asleep at the times i want to see him or her moving?" And the baby started to wiggle and then waved at us 😆😆😆 an amazing moment. Now I just have to get to the 12 week milestone. Got my fingers and toes crossed. And ive just done a new calculation online and going off my scan date and how many weeks i am, I'm due on the 8th September too!! X

SavanahXx · 05/02/2020 17:47

@Bubble29 I keep getting extremely bad nausea. It's horrible. I'm really bad for a few days, then i have about half a day where I feel fine, then go back to feeling really rough. Out of my 5 pregnancies, this one hands down is the worse nausea yet! I hope you're doing ok x

Louisg · 05/02/2020 19:31

@SavanahXx I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering. My nausea is so bad. Literally 24/7 it's starting to really get me down as I always feel like shit. Only another 22 days till my first NHS scan. And then only another 7 months to go till it's all over Grin

SavanahXx · 05/02/2020 20:30

@Louisg it's awful isn't it! I know what you mean, it makes you feel unable to do anything, then you end up feeling guilty. I can't wait for this to pass! How long did it take you to get your scan date through? I had my appointment last week. But haven't heard anything back yet 😥

Louisg · 05/02/2020 20:38

@SavanahXx my midwife rang the hospital and booked my appointment whilst I was there today

Sulkypatsy · 05/02/2020 20:59

Sorry to hear that some of you are having a hard time with nausea too. I've just been given stemetil today to try for a few days, I've got ketones in my urine so doctor said if I can't keep food and drink down and improve I've to into hosp on a drip. Hyperemesis gravidarum is what I'm dealing with apparently, been so nauseous all the time, vomiting every day 😭 so happy to be pregnant but I'm exhausted!!

SavanahXx · 05/02/2020 22:50

@Louisg they used to do that here, you have to go to a medical centre for your booking appointments, then you'd get a date there and then for a scan, and have to go back to that medical centre for it. They did that when I was pregnant with DD but now, you go to the medical centre for your booking appointment, then have to wait for a letter with a date, then go to the hospital. It changes too often!

@Sulkypatsy im sorry to hear you're suffering with GD! it sounds horrendous. My nausea seems like nothing in comparison, so I apologise for the whining haha. It's so worth it all in the end!

Louisg · 05/02/2020 23:10

@Sulkypatsy a shiver went down my spine when reading that Confused hope you pull through because I sure wouldn't

Sulkypatsy · 06/02/2020 09:42

I actually had some relief last night with the stemetil, it was amazing, I managed to keep down sugary juice and was totally hyper. I think it's all relative with symptoms, you just learn to get by with whatever comes at you, no choice, Lol. It's definitely a struggle but the worst thing is worrying that it's effecting the baby, the anxiety is worse than the physical feelings. So hoping that it reduces as time goes on. Hope you're all doing ok! X

Babymummasoontobe4 · 08/02/2020 13:17

Got my letter for my dating scan 😍😍 26th of February at 9.30 am....2 weeks and 4 days to go xx

SavanahXx · 10/02/2020 22:10

@Babymummasoontobe4 I bet you're so excited! I got mine today. 24th at 2:30pm. Im really excited. It says my appointment will take around 3 hours though. So I've got myself into a panic wondering whether I'll see a doctor or consultant etc. I never had this with my other pregnancies.

Babymummasoontobe4 · 11/02/2020 07:33

@SavanahXx mine is 2-3 hours long as well , I have to see a consultant after the scan, did you get a second letter with you're scan letter to explain...I have to have extra scans through this pregnancy as well ...good luck for today xcx

Sulkypatsy · 11/02/2020 08:45

Aware that Ireland is very different for healthcare but I have my booking visit in March, and have been told it will take 2/3 hours, bloods, checking history, height, weight, scan and waiting time in between.

SavanahXx · 11/02/2020 23:19

@Babymummasoontobe4 i made it sound like my scan was today lmao, i meant i had got my letter. The appointment is on the 24th. I haven't opted to have the screening, so I can't for the life of me figure why it's so long! On my second letter, it says to finish the booking appointment and see a consultant if necessary, but I completed my booking appointment, had height, weight and bloods done etc. I did haemorrhage after dd though, and was meconium in my waters if that could have anything to do with it? I haven't a clue. I have like a trillion different scenarios running through my head haha. Oh dear.

SavanahXx · 13/02/2020 21:25

Hi ladies. Hope you're all doing well. I've had a scare today, and still non of the wiser on what's going on. I started bleeding, bright red blood, went to epu, and was still bleeding. The doctor examined me and said my cervix is partially open but that's normally due to having a DD and all my previous MC. Other than that, it's closed, and no tissues is visible, but she said that could change within an hour etc, so it's still uncertain. I've been booked in for a scan on Tuesday and told to rest up. Bleeding settled when I came home and is just brown now. Sorry for the tmi. I'm so worried. It's worse knowing it was only last week I seen LO wriggling around and waving. Heads up my bum tbh, just praying for a miracle!

Louisg · 14/02/2020 07:11

Did they take your bloods? It's going to be such an anxious weekend. If the bleeding has slowed and no 'tissue' is coming out it sounds positive. Especially if baby measured up correctly on your scan
