I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

That’s great @Roxy8203
I’m sure it’s been nice having a relaxing week off work.
Could you speak to HR and try keep it confidential?

ShiningStarz · 10/01/2020 21:30

Sounds awful @Lazydaisydaydream!!!

Roxy8203 · 10/01/2020 21:56

@ShiningStarz no I can't do my job if I declare it so it will be quite obvious, I wouldn't be able to keep it quite for long as people would want to know why they covering my shifts and I'm not doing it myself

ShiningStarz · 11/01/2020 05:22

@Roxy8203 would your gp give you a sick note for 2 weeks? It’s worth a try?

ShiningStarz · 11/01/2020 05:23

Morning ladies!
Happy Saturday!
I can’t believe I’m 5w 1d. It’s a big milestone for me. How is everyone doing?

ShiningStarz · 11/01/2020 05:23

Ps anyone else been waking at 4/5am?!!!!
These dreams are crazy!!!

Chadder2017 · 11/01/2020 07:25

Morning! Awww amazing well done I'm 6w 1d today so exciting but I'm waiting for the morning sickness which isn't going to be fun. Yeah my dreams are mad too always awake early now but I think that's because I'm so tired ok n the evenings I'm in bed much earlier than I used to be x

Roxy8203 · 11/01/2020 09:47

@ShiningStarz I'm ok at the moment so I'll see. But once it kicks in I'll just tell them and get taken off my shifts and into the office. I can chose if I stay doing my role up until a certain point but I have to sign a disclaimer

Samk79 · 11/01/2020 10:37

Hello ladies,

Hoping I can join. I got my bfp this morning so very early days. I had a mc last year so also very nervous.
Is anyone older like me? I'm 40 and have two older children from a previous marriage. I feel terrified now and worried about the impact on my children!

ShiningStarz · 11/01/2020 12:19

Hi @Chadder2017 I actually want some morning sickness so it feels more real for me!! Still a little anxious until I actual feel pregnant!! My stomach bloat is back and it’s real!!! Actually wondering what I can wear today as jeans are too snug!!
Well done you too ❤️

@Roxy8203 sounds like a good plan. I’v my fingers crossed that everything works out for you this time. The rest in the office can only do you good. Try not to worry about everyone else guessing!!

Congrats @Samk79 that’s great news!! I’m 38 and had a mmc last year. This would be my first so iv no prior experience!! What age are your older 2?

Samk79 · 11/01/2020 12:25

@ShiningStarz thank you. My older two are 17 and 12. I was just starting to get round the fact that we probably wouldn't have a baby and I've just been offered a new job!

Dipsy77 · 11/01/2020 12:28

Hi samk79 I'm 42 will be 43 when baby born.
I have 2 older girls with my ex husband (we are still married but will be getting divorced soon) who are 22 and 20. They won't talk to me and haven't since I left there dad in 2017 which has been very difficult. I have a 4 month old girl ruby with my new partner so I have my hands full.
We decided to try again as I'm going to be 43 this year and my partner 50 so we didn't expect it to happen so quickly not looking forward to the sickness with a baby but I'm sure I'll get through it x

Samk79 · 11/01/2020 12:34

@dipsy thank you. Congrats on your pregnancy, you certainly will have your HAnds full! How did you find it having another baby after a large age gap? X

Dipsy77 · 11/01/2020 12:50

@Samk79 I loved it you do get treat like it's your first again and I was under a consultant because of my age which meant extra scans so I got to see her more. I didn't have any issues apart from been heavily pregnant when it was warm in the summer that wasn't nice and I sat with my feet in ice water a lot. I'd forgotten about the pain though when you give birth, I was induced at 40 weeks as they generally won't let you go over that as a geriatric mum, it was very painful my labour only lasted 3 hours it felt like I was giving birth to a bowling ball but it can't have been that bad because I'm doing it again!. I also feel so much calmer this time round with a baby it all came back and I'm less stressed it's lovely, a lot of the advice has changed but I just do what I feel is best and comfortable with and she is thriving Smile

Dipsy77 · 11/01/2020 13:04

Anyone else having trouble getting into the Facebook group ?, I've clicked on the link in the invitation email but it says it's broken? X

Samk79 · 11/01/2020 13:14

@Dipsy77 thank you. I'm an over thinker and I do worry too much!

notasillysausage · 11/01/2020 13:41

Hi everyone, do you mind if I join? I got my BFP this morning.

This will be 3rd child for me, feeling a little nervous as this was a bit of a shock! I’m 35, and have a 6 and 2 year old Smile

HugeAgeGap · 11/01/2020 14:21

Hi @Dipsy77 it's a private group so the link probably doesn't work. You can PM @BelliniButterfly or I think I might be able to do it with your Facebook email and we can invite you, just PM us your details x

HugeAgeGap · 11/01/2020 14:22

@Samk79 congratulations! I'm 34 but have a 11 year age gap once new one arrives. Have been nervous of the effect on first but kinda doing it so they have each other so hoping it works out ok for them! x

Dipsy77 · 11/01/2020 14:29

@HugeAgeGap thanks I did on my details and got the invitation but when I click on it it says link broken or no longer there so I'm confused I'll try again thanks

Maybebaby2 · 11/01/2020 14:40

Hi all can I join? I've been getting strong positive tests since Tuesday, wasn't due till yesterday so haven't quite believed tests till now!

I'm 40, DH 46, we have 2 year old DD and I have older DS 18 from previous relationship. I wanted 2 close in age this time but was not expecting it to actually happen. We ttc for 5ish months then sort of gave up Oct,/Nov intending to start again in Jan. Only dtd once in December and here I am!

Haven't told DH yet because last time he was so stressed about the whole thing, he worried constantly! So I'm trying to think how long to wait before telling him? I'm just wanting to save him a few days/weeks of stressing... which in turn stresses me 😂

Feeling pretty good atm, not really many systems at all... not kidding myself it will stay this way!

Maybebaby2 · 11/01/2020 14:44

HugeAgeGap · 11/01/2020 14:50

@Dipsy77 I've tried to invite you, but I'm not sure it goes through ok because it seems to just want me to only be able to invite people on my friends list! I'm not very good at this! If it hasn't worked try BelinniButtrrfly instead!! xx

Crazymummyto3 · 11/01/2020 15:38

I've tried adding those of you who have messaged me and I'm finding the same as @HugeAgeGap , it will only let me add people who I'm already Facebook friends with x

GaaaaarlicBread · 11/01/2020 15:43

Hey everyone , love reading and catching up on how you’re all doing .
I’m 7 weeks today and have been signed off work with severe sickness that seems to have settled now (they prescribed me some meds) but they are making me v drowsy and I’m also not sleeping or eating . It’s my first baby so it’s all very new . Other than that I haven’t got lots of symptoms . Biggest one was sore breasts. They hurt to touch but don’t hurt as bad as they did . I’ve been really anxious and have a private scan for next weekend so I’m going to try and relax now until then . But I have this fear that we will go and there won’t be anything there and that I was never pregnant even though I’ve done 7 tests and they’ve all come back positive ! 🤦🏽‍♀️
