Cricri - know just how you feel, my symptoms carried on for 3/4 weeks until I had my evac. So sorry to hear this has happened to you too but yes, you are right, you will find lots of support from others in the same boat (((hugs))) so will see you on those threads.
It is lovely to hear what the rest of you are up to too - will be following your progress

glammama · 11/09/2007 10:35

Morning all,

So sorry cricri to hear your news, hope you both are getting support. xx

iliketosleep · 11/09/2007 14:05

Was gonna silently fade into the background but you all helped me so much i thought id better pop my head around the door and see how you are all getting on

Loads of love and hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxxxx

imjin100 · 11/09/2007 14:23

hurray to Iliketosleep, no disappearing on us, we like to hear how you are doing. a few short months and yet already we have made such mn friends. It's quite a thing really - the support is fab and so appreciated.
Hope you're doing ok, in the circumstances, and taking it easy.
Have some chocolate that my boss just bought me if you or anyone else would like to share.

tori32 · 11/09/2007 14:23

oops that should be hugs!!

merryberry · 11/09/2007 14:37

waves< at iliketosleep. TBH i read the MC thread every few days to see how you are all doing. I currently have my virtual fingers crossed for cricri and her dh back at the docs today, and from here, turtle at her dating scan.

OK, now I have to put my oar in here on the whole virtual cake/chocs thing. Will you please have a heart and bear in mind that some of us actually have a salt tooth? I'll kick the ball off on the salty/fatty snack front by offering my remaining lunch sundried tomatos and some ritz crackers to anyone who is tempted but really, when do I get offered a nice tangy kettle chip by one of you lot then? HUH??

imjin100 · 11/09/2007 14:39

oh....yes please to salt crackers...I have some m&s salt and pepper crisps here which are rather delicious - you are welcome to them...i've eaten enough to sink an army.

I also follow the MC threads to check on our march friends, it's nice to know how people are doing, but equally nice to have a visit here on our thread!

iliketosleep · 11/09/2007 14:41

someone mention chocolate??

im am absolutly fine thanks, i took the first stage of the "medical management" yesterday and it seems to have kick started stuff so tomorrow it shall be over! fingers crossed! then at the weekend dp wont know what hit him

Ive just got my huge arse a lovely comfy seat in the ttc after m/c september thread and its great for support

Shame cricri had to join us but we will look after her along with sweetkitty and the rest of the "clan" lol

iliketosleep · 11/09/2007 14:43

ooh merry berry i have a tub of sour cream and onion pringles you can have dp brought them for me but he got the rice infusion one (bleurgh)

merryberry · 11/09/2007 15:25

pringles and crackers now yet talking

turtle23 · 11/09/2007 16:04

merryberry...i just got myself pretzels and mini cheddars to celebrate my scan! have some!
Scan went really well...very low risk and very sweet baby who made it clear he just wanted to sleep! Have a big bowl of spag bol and pretzels to follow cos i'm so happy!

Jackstini · 11/09/2007 16:12

Ahh that is fantastic news Turtle - really pleased for you

imjin100 · 11/09/2007 16:17

turtle, brilliant news - so exciting. In the old days I'd suggest cracking open a bottle to celebrate but pretzels and mini cheddars will have to suffice...or a bottle of ribena???! Go crazy.

Enjoy the feeling.

monthlymayhem · 11/09/2007 16:40

Hello liketosleep!

Congrats on your scan turtle

I'm with you on the salt thing (as well as chocolate, and anything else generally unhealthy). Have just finished a bag of Penn State pretzels which are my fav at the moment As a result, I've been sooo thirsty, drinking like a fish and running to the loo...

I've got a really, horrible work meeting/presentation coming up on Thursday which I'm really, really not looking forward to, so think I'm comfort eating to try and keep the stress levels at bay

HolidaysQueen · 11/09/2007 17:17

Brilliant news turtle!
I'm so relieved now I've told work colleagues - I've just been in a 3 hour meeting and been able to munch away on bread and cheese (i've also got that salt thing going on) without seeming too rude

iliketosleep · 11/09/2007 18:00

aww excellent news turtle xx

Right you lovely lot im going to disappear again as things are progressing

I will pop in again soon xxx

yardette · 11/09/2007 18:46

Throwing some of my non alcoholic wine that I am OBSESSED with all of your way to go with the salty things.

congrats Turtle!

tori32 · 11/09/2007 21:40

Congrats on your scan turtle! Pies, cakes and biscuits all round! Only popping in cos DH needs to email. back soon!

cricri · 12/09/2007 07:33

Hi everybody,
Thanks for all your messages of support and sorry I didn't get chance to post on this thread yesterday.
DH and I are bearing up OK thanks. We've opted for the wait and see approach for the time being as I don't really want the operation (although I realise it may yet be necessary). I'm getting lots of support from the TTC after mc thread, and also from close friends of ours who also found out on Monday that their baby had died at 6 weeks. We saw them coming out of the scan room just before we went in... Not a good day all in all.
Anyway, I'll be popping in from time to time to see how you're all doing and in the meantime take care. xx

derah · 12/09/2007 08:56

Morning ladies! It's the start of my work week... sigh!

So, to start the day I think I'll hand round chocolate fudge cake, and tortilla chips (not to be eaten together unless the strange cravings have started!)

Not much to report. I think I might finally be getting over the tiredness. I'm still knackered at the end of the day and need an afternoon nap when I can get one, but at least I wake up feeling OK in the morning. I've even been considering getting up a bit early to exercise - I've always been a morning exerciser but have been WAY to sleepy in the mornings up till now to even consider getting up a second before I have to!

OP posts:
turtle23 · 12/09/2007 09:39

Morning all. Derah, I really liked you until you admitted to exercise in the morning! lol!
I'm off to meet the new set of midwives who will register me for a home birth in a bit. o excited now!
Just out of interest, those of you who've had a scan already, how big is your baby? Trying to work out if the placement on the graph means mine is a little taller than average or just a useless piece of info. At 12+2 bean is 63.5 mm CRL.

preggersagain · 12/09/2007 09:48

just popping in before my scan [nervous] i've got a scan at 10.45 and then my booking appointment straight after, just debating whether to come back to work (self employed) after the appt or take a lazy day playing with my new dishwasher

glad turtle you had good news, cri- sorry to hear about you look after yourself.

I'm going to find out how pregnant i am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imjin100 · 12/09/2007 09:54

preggersagain, dancing with you - good luck and enjoy it. can't believe you'd consider work when you have a new dishwasher to play with - priorities lady....

happy day today, have borrowed a friends big comfy band thing that goes over your usual clothes but means you don't have to do up tight buttons/zips! Am loving it. Comfortable but still in 'home clothes' - oh joy. Popped into H&M to get a few bits last night and left in dispair - normal trousers for those of us who work - impossible - only jeans cords or combats - not exactly what will please my boss.

Oh well.

Happy days to all....

preggersagain · 12/09/2007 09:59

I know- i had it running all evening- it only arrived at 5pm- but everything in my cupboards now sparkles

On the clothes front- try next, their maternity range is lovely and comfortable, and they have some nice workwear- might as well go for it now- you're only gonna get bigger!
