Does this link to an album of family pics on facebook work?

Yes it does! Good can use this facility rather than old photo album now. Have some time off this am. Am computer fiddling now, next is catching up with recorded TV shows and then bash at Davina's exercise DVD which I got this week. See you later...

HolidaysQueen · 08/09/2007 10:44

merryberry - DH just bought me the Davina video as a birthday present (he is worried how lazy I've been since getting pregnant!) Let me know how you get on - I plan to give it a go tomorrow. Today is naturally for being waited on hand and foot and not lifting a finger

Your virtual menu tonight will be prawn crackers, tom yum soup, green curry, jungle curry and pad thai. I'm so excited! Plus for dessert you can have the tiny morsel of chocolate icecream that I have left after last night's binge

imjin100 · 08/09/2007 10:53

holidaysqueen very happy birthday...hope you have a really lovely happy day and a fun night cooking up a storm.
I too enjoyed a bit of rugby/strapping boy watching last night - my DH's enjoyment marred only slightly by my 'he's nice isn't he' remarks throughout the first half. The second half I snored throughout!
Tonight we have 50 or 60 people coming to a party at our house...a very belated house warming. DH still not at all well and I'm just holding it together -either I have a bug or my ms is back with a vengence...either way we're going to have to rally before the guests arrive or we'll both be in bed by 9.30.
Happy days to all, it's the weekend, how lovely is that!

imjin100 · 08/09/2007 10:55

oh while i remember will you report back on what the davina dvd is like, i saw it and thought I might get it but wasn't sure...usually celebrity things aren't my ideal but I thought she looked a bit more down to earth...well, vaguely!

preggersagain · 08/09/2007 11:29

you lot are energetic- davina excercise dvd no way!! i am enjoying lazing around feeling pathetic and just being preggers! I figure i do a fair bit of exercise dragging myself up and down the stairs at work each time i need a wee (about 20 times an hour )

skidoodle · 08/09/2007 11:56

imjin - I hope you have a fun time tonight. I hope you and DH start to feel a bit more up to it by this evening. LOL @ "he's nice isn't he?", you were just not taking the whole thing seriously enough

HQ - jungle curry? oh no, look what you've done Now I really, really wish for jungle curry tonight. We have a great recipe that DH makes but it takes AGES and is loads of work. I daren't suggest it, I don't think, as he plans to spend the whole day doing DIY. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the virtual one.

Is there a thing that happens when you are pregnant and babies become irresistable and you just want to pick them up and pinch their little cheeks? your LO is such a cutie. my favourite picture is of you DH (I presume) looking like he is wearing some kind of headdress

littleducks, I totally agree with glamma and turtle, if you don't want the tests I don't see that you need to explain yourself to anyone. is there a reason you think they'd be so pushy? I'm just assuming if I say no they'll be OK with that.

yay for saturday hope you're all having nice days.

skidoodle · 08/09/2007 11:57

comments about LO and DH aimed at merryberry in case that wasn't clear.

glammama · 08/09/2007 12:54

merry berry, your photos are lovely. I've just signed up to Facebook and wondered if you'll be my friend. You get to find out my real name!!!

turtle23 · 08/09/2007 13:07

Oh if you ever need cheering up...sure you've all seen this, but look at it now that you're hormonally charged!!

Sorry, that'll be easier.

turtle23 · 08/09/2007 13:11

who else is on facebook? Happily add you all as friends!

3madboys · 08/09/2007 14:49

ooh so you all use facebook i cant get to grips with it, not that i have tried that hard, but i do use msn, much to the annoyance of dp as when he is on the pc it keeps beeping and little messages pop up as my friends think i am online

i am feeling ok, tho tired, dp had two days off but instead of resting we decided to blitz the spare room, as it will be ds1's room. also did loads of shopping etc, i made dp look at pushchairs he was not impressed, we already have a great pram, but i want something that folds up smaller for the car boot.

ooh dp did arrange for me to get my hair cut as a suprise its gone a bit mad since i got preg, but having had 3 and a bit inches of it its now much more maneagable.

managed to get my bloods done to, actually my booking in bloods etc, but its taken this long to get an app with the bloods clinic, i was quite relieved they got a vein first time, i have crap veins and they often end up getting out of the back of my hand (owch) but this time it was ok, tho she did have to keep wriggling the needle about to make more blood come out so i have a nice bruise on my arm.

whoever mentioned davina dvds i have her two exercise dvds, not that i am doing them but she ahs also brought out a pregnancy work out dvd and i am thinking of getting it as her other ones are quite good, will let you all know if i get it and its good

merryberry · 08/09/2007 17:52

well, i got started in the davina pg dvd (very good, btw) when i was overcome by nausea and upchucked . Allergic to exercise? Would explain a lot!

Have heard of the laughing babies but never seen them. magic!

Ooh good, glammama, will look out for your notification. Thanks for your kind words, and I'm glad the link works. Will use it for family as well. Skidoodle, the cone thing is a norfolk water tower

littleducks · 08/09/2007 18:15

Happy Birthday HQ, thai green curry sounds lovely, im starting to get a craving i fear, but what is jungle curry?

I used to have excellent midwives with dd as it was a surestart clinic and i chose them over the midwife at my doctors surgery, now my new midwife seems less accomodating which is why i worry.

skidoodle · 08/09/2007 19:46

littleducks, jungle curry is a really spicy thai curry with lots of vegetables in it but no coconut milk. it's delicious

merryberry, LOL @ allergic to exercise. I think I may be developing that too. or maybe just all activity.

HolidaysQueen · 09/09/2007 10:35

skidoodle - you're right, the jungle curry is delicious (although not sure it will be as delicious next time, because I won't then have a proper Thai chef watching over me while I make it!)

My birthday was lovely and I'm really happy today

Happy Sunday all!

HolidaysQueen · 09/09/2007 10:35

P.S. Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

turtle23 · 09/09/2007 12:38

Glad you had a good b'day, HQ! I'm happy today too as I have finally made it to 12 weeks! Two days left til the scan...hooooray!

piekin · 09/09/2007 15:06

HI there haven't been on for ages as was so paranoid that somehow I would be jinxed by the series of MCs that unfortunately seemed to have happened, and although I do feel for folk I just couldn't take it! Anyway just popped in to say baby is all well and happy and had my first scan, was so lovely to see the little thing! Good luck to everyone else still waiting for their scans etc and all the best to those who are still on this thread. Best, see you in a month or so!xx

picklewoo · 09/09/2007 20:34

Hi there,

I'm new to MN and not sure if this is the right thread to post on but thought I'd say hello

It's my first pregnancy and I'm due on March 17th next year.

I had my nuchal transparency/dating scan last Friday and everything seemed fine which was a great relief apart from the fact the doctor said I had slightly low levels of PAPP-A hormone and this meant I'd have to have an extra scan at 28 weeks to check the baby's growth. I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else as the doctor told me not to worry but I am a bit....

Any advice appreciated

turtle23 · 10/09/2007 09:18

Good morning everyone! Full of happiness and positivity today and wanted to bring you all some cheesecake. It's blueberry...enjoy!

turtle23 · 10/09/2007 09:37

oh...and welcome and congrats picklewoo!

yardette · 10/09/2007 09:59

Hello all - happy belated birthday HolidaysQueen! And hello to Picklewoo- I'm afraid I don't know answer to the PAPP A thing, but sure someone here will. But it will not be anything to worry about I'm sure - just one extra thing to monitor.

Thanks Skidoodle, HolidaysQueen, Glammamma and all others for your amazingly supportive words about the twins. Your words, combined with a nice weekend with DH have made me feel so much better. You know how it is - hormones are raging all over the place anyway, which means I am also all over the place emotionally about the twins news! But, hearing you lot tell me its going to be okay meant the world to me. Thanks all .

Right, hugely positive day today. Only a 3 day week, then me and DH are off to Paris! romantic long weekend - making the most of it before the DTs arrive (how I laughed when I realised that twins would be called DTs in mumsnet speak. Sounds like the shakes you get after a really big night on the booze . DP proposed to me in Paris about 8 years ago, so should be lovely.

Today, I am feeling happy about 2 little faces rather than worried about round the clock breast feeding. This time last week, I was laid on the couch listening to that Germanic voice telling me "It is TVINS"!!"

happy positive days to all of you , and thanks so much again for all your virtual support
xx

imjin100 · 10/09/2007 10:00

welcome and congrats picklewoo, and good luck to any scan babies this week.
Yes please turtle, I'd love some. Can only share apples or bananas which aren't very exciting.
party great on saturday, last guests left at 3am and both dh and I rallied massively so no one knew we were feeling rough!
just been to the gym so very pleased with myself but think i'm going to get the davina thing too for the days I can't be arsed pedalling off to the gym...if I can do it at home there is surely no excuse!!!!
good days to all, happy mondays.

imjin100 · 10/09/2007 10:07

yardette, you are keeping us all massively entertained no least with the germanic ringtones. Oh how exciting to be off to paris - what a treat.
I keep meaning to echo the sentinments of others and say I am loving living vicariously through your twins...suffice to say I've always rather liked the idea. I'm delighted with one healthy bean but love that we can feel involved in your double act....
