fitnforty · 03/09/2007 18:37

brilliant news! I'm going to cry again too

After my energy returned last week (or maybe just adrenaline to get me through month end at work) I felt fine on Sat, but slept most of Sunday. Then of course my darling husband is suffering from manflu. Got totally p*'d off with him for coughing in my face 3 times during the night then having him swear at me for shouting at him, so sulked off to the spare room for some peace and quiet. Unfortunately, ended up with backache as I can't cope with that mattress, so he's in the spare room tonight until the spluttering stops!

Haven't had too many weird dreams that I remember, one the other night involved me heavily beating someone up for saying something stupid

derah · 03/09/2007 18:58

I've been having the oddest dreams too. In one of my latest ones I was some film-type hero running about evading/fighting bad guys, and I killed one bad guy by beating his head against the wall (who, me, violent? [hmmm]) but it was OK cos his head was jam doughnut anyway!

e14 - so glad to hear someone else is having restless legs. Well, not glad, for either of us! But it's been driving me mad in the evening when I just want to crash on the sofa and relax and watch telly but I can't cos my stupid legs are all restless!

I've had a great day. This morning DD let me sleep until 9am, which is amazing. The I had such a lovely walk with DD and the dogs. I really didn't want to bother with a long walk but figured we all needed it, and I'm really glad we did. The weather was beautiful and we found lots of blackberries for dd to eat (she's finally stopped calling them 'grapes' and calls them 'cherries' now - it's progress I suppose!). Then we found a field for of horses who came to say hello and let us pat their noses. Really nice morning. DD had a long nap this afternoon and I flopped on the sofa and watched rubbish telly. All very relaxing.

Got my scan tomorrow morning - alternating between excited and terrified!

That is great news iliketosleep!

I am just starting to get excited now, my scan is on friday, but i'm not looking forward to the drinking loads of water, that always makes my sickness bad!

iliketosleep · 03/09/2007 19:26

i forgot to drink water so i just said i could drink any as it made me feel sick.......lies lies lies

iliketosleep · 03/09/2007 19:26

couldn't

e14mum · 03/09/2007 20:36

Hey, great news guys!!

littleducks, midwife told me you don't have to drink tons anymore. I had a pretty full bladder as a result of coming straight from work and rushing around, but I saw a sign in the waiting room that you have to empty your bladder for nuchal scans anyway.

derah, I'm glad I have someone to share the restless legs agony with! It's not too bad lately, usually just as I am drifting off to sleep I suddenly have to move around and get comfortable again! And no bump yet to contend with- what have I got myself in for!?!

Here's to good sleep for all of us tonight.

glammama · 03/09/2007 20:37

I'm so pleased for you i like to sleep It's wonderful to hear such good news.
DD goes back to school on wednesday and so far I have sewn 3 of approximately 470 labels into her horrifically ezpensive new school uniform. And I managed to get blood from my finger all over the lovely washed white shirts. So more washing and ironing and sewing tomorrow
And I'm at the inlaws tonight so I'm going to miss the final of my Guilty Pleasure. Ladies I need to confess to you my hitherto concealed obsession with Britain's Next Top Model. I really hope it's on again another time. My sky+ is not working so couldn't record it. I had to eat some Black Forest Gateau just to cope with the trauma.
Hope you are all ok tonight.

MerlinsBeard · 03/09/2007 20:38

AM so happy for you ilike! ANd also, you haven;t the worry now of when/whether the sac will pass!

Who else was it having a scan today? can't seem to find it

littleducks · 03/09/2007 20:40

I think the full bladder thing depends upon the type of scanner they are using, last time i only needed a full bladder for epc ones but is says on my appointment full bladder required so i guess im just going to have to grin and bear it!

yardette · 03/09/2007 22:10

short message, because i am knackered and will tell you all more tomorrow.
But, had scan today. All good.... AND TWINS!!!

more tomorrow!

MerlinsBeard · 03/09/2007 22:13

yardette!!!!!!! glad everything is good, will waiot for more news tomo

3madboys · 03/09/2007 22:14

wow congrats yardette

when i had my nuchal scan for ds3 at the fetal medicine centre in london i didnt have to have a full bladder, infact they recomended NOT to, however this time i had it done at my local hospital and they said i would need a full bladder.

when i had my dating scan a few days before they told me off as my bladder wasnt 'full enough' so for my nuchal scan i drank LOADS and my god i was desperate for the loo afterwards.

i am going to head to bed and try and get an early night, not sleeping very well at the moment, so need to try and get as much sleep as i can.

monthlymayhem · 03/09/2007 22:18

Congratulations liketosleep and anyone else I'm missed who had recent scans.

I have my scan at 9am tomorrow (I know Derah does too) and am feeling very excited and nervous in equal measure!

I went to visit one of my best friends yesterday who has a 5 day old baby, he was absolutely gorgeous Of course ended up telling her I'm pg (haven't tolod anyone except parents so far) and she was in tears, and I was in tears because her baby was so lovely. Unfortunately she had given me the minute by minute graphic detail of her labour before she knew my news

I've also been getting restless legs but I seem to get it when waking up in the morning at stupid times and then not being able to get back to sleep...

I've also got a question for anyone in the know as I keep reading conflicting info - I know you shouldn't do abdominal exercises after 12 wees, but is it ok to do other exercises on your back e.g. pelvic floors on your back? I thought I'd read you shouldn't as the weight of the uterus can cut off the blood supply and you get breathless but my class instructor said pelvic floors on your back are fine Any ideas?

Sorry for the long post!!

monthlymayhem · 03/09/2007 22:19

that was of course meant to be 'after 12 Weeks' and not 12 'wees'

monthlymayhem · 03/09/2007 22:21

That's fantastic yardette- congratulations!!!!
