sorry its not intentional, just luck, incidentally one of my best friends from post natal classes told me that she had seen me around when i was preg, we were with the same gp and midwife and lived near each other but didnt know each other, and she said she HATED me with a passion as i looked all little, petite and neat with a teeny bump and nice clothes etc, whereas she felt like big frump etc, i am 28 and had ds1 when i was just 20, i do wonder if being younger helps? all my friend with kids are in their thirties and some are just 40 and they have found it harder to regain figure etc?

i do have big babies that then bfeed loads so i think that helps, they suck all the fat and calories out of me

oh and running around after the thre boys keeps me busy and prob burns some calories,

whispers the average orgasm burns 300 calories, so once you feel up to it, i recomend that as good exercise

iliketosleep · 02/09/2007 19:07

thanks 3mb

right im pissed off!!! my dp has a car he has been doing up and was working on it this morning. We had to go out for an hour at about 3:30pm so dp just put his tools behind the bin under some cardboard boxes and stuff ready to be thrown tomorrow when bin men come. We arrived home at around 4:30pm to find all his tools have gone

my neighbour said an indian guy in a white van parked in the middle of the road walked up my drive, filled a bucket (ours may i add!!!) of tools and put them in his van!! i cant believe it can happen in broad daylight in a quiet cul de sac in a decent area

derah · 02/09/2007 19:27

iliketosleep - I can't belive that happened! How on earth did the guy know the tools were there anyway? I bet poor DH is devastated - their tools are their babies! How creepy knowing that someone was on your property and took your stuff.

i know!! its made me so angry!! i went to the shop earlier and was keeping my hawk eyes out and every white van i saw i stopped dead in the road and eyeballed it detective work isnt my strong point lol

my car was broken into on new years day/morning at about 4am and that was bad enough! but the middle of the bloody day!!! ooooooooh if i catch whoever did it.........

it does make me wonder how he knew though

Gamakichi · 03/09/2007 00:37

hello everybody

I hope its ok to join you for cakes and pies (if there are any left)?

Looks like this is going to be a good AN club for homebirths, I would like one too! My MW said my home (&pg) will be assessed at 36 weeks then they'll say whether I can have one or not...

Have only skimmed the thread but will keep up with you all from now, during my incredibly annoying insomnia.

yardette · 03/09/2007 05:42

Hi all. Insomnia has kicked in. Woke up at 3.30am after 5 hours sleep, then can't get back to sleep.
Oh well. Probably something to do with the fact that I have my scan today at 9.30am. will let you know how get on this evening, when I get home.
good luck to all the rest of you with scans this week.
xx

imjin100 · 03/09/2007 08:18

good luck everyone with scans. Will be thinking of you and waiting for news.
horrid news re the tools, human nature astounds at times. Looking on the bright side at least you didn't disturb him and run into more serious trouble - you never know what people are like these day....awful though and sorry about it for you.
Insomnia - is that part of being pregnant - i have certainly been suffering from it but thought it was just me being me, worrying about stuff.
On a health drive this week. Had 20 for tea yesterday for DH's birthday and I scoffed most of the cake and really I need to take control so if anyone feels like joining me in a carrot stick and some celery that's where I@m at for my snacks from now on!
good days to all

glammama · 03/09/2007 09:00

Thinking of you all with scans today. Good luck to you all.

turtle23 · 03/09/2007 09:43

Horrible people there are out there...imagine doing that in broad daylight, no less!
Good luck to those with scans...you must be on your way home now!
Insomnia? I'm still waiting for the narcoleptic-type naps to stop! I fell asleep (how embarassing is this) on the loo yesterday.

HolidaysQueen · 03/09/2007 10:25

Hi all -

I'm back from a lovely week in Italy and feel very pleased with myself because for the first time in two months I was able to a) enjoy eating fruit and veg rather than survive on only bread, potatoes and pasta and b) do some exercise - lots of swimming and walking. Yay!

I have my booking appt and scan on Thurs and getting really nervous. Good luck to everyone with scans today!

Turtle - I've got insomnia at night and narcolepsy during the day! In fact I might go and pay a visit to the loo now

I have had a lot of discomfort the past few days - with tummy muscles feeling like they are doing nothing but stretching and straining. I'll mention it to the midwife on Thurs but assuming that this is normal as it's just discomfort (albeit quite a lot and fairly constant) rather than actual pain.

HQ xx

iliketosleep · 03/09/2007 10:42

good morning everyone, hope you are all feeling fine

3 hours till my appointment and im feeling abit.....eeeeekkkkkkk.......

turtle23 · 03/09/2007 10:55

ilike...keeping fingers crossed for you. Good luck!

iliketosleep · 03/09/2007 11:04

thanks turtle

MerlinsBeard · 03/09/2007 14:08

good luck today all those with scans

e14mum · 03/09/2007 14:54

This is a quiet day! We must all be
a. Feeling better?
b. Biting fingernails wating for scans and/or
c. busy eating cake and crisps!!

Hope it's all going well. I've been having strange dreams lately about telling my boss I'm pg, and decided today was the day to do it- and he's not in!! I don't know why I'm nervous really- he'll probably be really pleased for me and excited. Oh well.

I too am having trouble sleeping. Restless legs and waking up at 5, 5:30, 6, 6:30, etc... Best night's sleep I had recently was when DH was away on business- we definitely need a bigger bed!

merryberry · 03/09/2007 14:58

good luck ?tomorrow then e14mum?

strange dreams? fricking bizarre. i was really angry in my dream last night: britney spears was smoking in our hall cupboard under the stairs and i kept going down there to tell her to stop but she wouldn't.

sigh

AnguaVonUberwald · 03/09/2007 14:59

Had my scan on Friday, at 11 weeks. Pleased to report littleone was very lively. Waving arms and legs around and refusing to get into the right position for the nucal fold measurment.

Turned out that we have to go back this week anyway, as the baby wasn't big enough for the nucal fold test to count.

How did other people's scans go?

We have a little picture now, looks very remarkable and not at all like a baby!

preggersagain · 03/09/2007 15:06

i too have the insomnia- woke up this morning at 3.30 and for the life of me couldn't slip back off to sleep- until of course ten minutes before my alarm was due to go off!

I am trying to stay awake now but its very difficult!

e14mum · 03/09/2007 15:06

lol merryberry. The other night I was back performing in my high school musical but then there were floods and so we were all eating pastries at a small cafe somewhere in the mountains.

Had my scan at 12+4 last Thursday. Amazing. Looks like an elf. Def has my little nose and not DH's!!
Seems like there are a few today though?

tori32 · 03/09/2007 15:11

Good afternoon all, hope you are all well and the MS is subsiding! I can report I have a scan date at last. Saw the madwife last weds. Got it this weds so fingers x!
Has everyone had a good weekend?

PurlyQueen · 03/09/2007 15:12

Hope iliketosleep is OK

tori32 · 03/09/2007 15:15

Me to, she probably got sucked into mothercare on her way back from the scan

imjin100 · 03/09/2007 15:34

feeling nervous for everyone, not even me having a scan.
Insomnia and wierd dreams here too, but even DH having strange dreams - what's that about!!!

PurlyQueen · 03/09/2007 16:11

I'm at work and feeling more sick and tired by the hour. I'm just trying to hold out until Friday when I have an 11-week scan (gulp) and I have a week and a half off. I think I'll be spending most of it asleep!

Welcome aboard sheenguth. I know what you mean about the office sofa. I'd pay someone £50 right now if I could crawl under my desk for a nap.

My stomach muscles did the same thing as yours, holidaysqueen. Unfortunately it happened as I was driving up the M1, so drivers in the other lanes would have seen me at the wheel and yelling because the sensation of my muscles stretching was pretty uncomfortable.

iliketosleep · 03/09/2007 16:33

ok well we went to the gynea ward and i was called in, told to lie down and undo my trousers. I did all this and then stared at dp. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop despite there being 6 of us in there! Then i heard "here it is, and look at that strong heartbeat!!" i replied with "whaaaa???" and turned to see just in time to see little bean wave at me.!

The bleed was the collapsed sac coming away! I have been given an edd of 30th of march and told to go back in 10 weeks for 20 week scan!

Can i just say thankyou to you all for being there when i was lost, upset, confused etc

And on that note......im so happy tra lalalalala
