BTW - I'm currently favouring the name Thomas. The only downer is I know it's really popular and I don't want him to be one of millions. The the big ? is .. Do you lot know a lot of Thomases ?

iris66 · 01/09/2007 12:49

littloldme - I think it's a lovely name too. All the ones I know of are over 9yrs old so maybe it's not as popular as you think at the mo?

RGPargy · 01/09/2007 13:15

Bunny - hope you've recovered from your bathroom nightmare!!

My friend has a DS called Thomas. it's one of those classic names that will never go out of fashion!

littleoldme · 01/09/2007 13:18

There is a v popular name , which I won't divulge incase anyone has chosen it, but there are eight boys with this name in my nephew's class. Don't want the same to be the case for my Lo

ara · 01/09/2007 13:45

Iris you are v kind - lol at my bricklayers arms tho!!

Pixiefish · 01/09/2007 18:48

Hi everyone.

MrsJ -- glad to hear that things are under control for the moment. I think the do nothing therapy sounds vey sensible.

Ara -- with you on the boobs thing. I think mine are still a bit bigger than my bump (at 29 or 30 weeks or whatever this is now).

I just got back from a nice 2 days on the Aran Islands with my boyfriend. We spent much of yesterday afternoon lying around in bed, but today was exhausting! I had decided that it would be a good idea to go to Inisman, the middle island, so we got on the 8:15 ferry thinking we would be able to get breakfast when we got there. NO. Nothing open until 11! Thankfully, I had some banannas and trail mix and a bottle of water in my bag, otherwise we would have been a really grumpy pair of wrecks. As it is my feet are quite sore from tramping around all day.

Was anyone else from this list there? We ran into a couple at JM Synge's cottage, and she looked nearly as pregnant as I think I am, and sure enough, said she was due the 15th of November.

Febuary was obviously a very busy month.

aikigypsy · 01/09/2007 20:08

Saw a cool thing on spinnningbabies.com about how to figure out which direction your baby is facing by mapping their movements on a chart of your belly. I'm not sure I can quite tell, but I think she's head down (I hope so, anyway) and is definitely lying on my left-hand side, because 90% of the movements are on the right.

iris66 · 01/09/2007 20:45

I was only joking (well sort of - as jokey as my hormones will allow these days - put it this way, I wasn't being absolutely serious) Daniel James was a runner if we have another son but DS has a D name so we decided against it. Lovely lovely name tho

iris66 · 01/09/2007 20:49

Loopy - congrats on your new house btw (and your friend's baby!) Feel free to pass on anything relevant to us from your chats with your IM friend.
Aikigypsy - sounds like you & Dp are having a lovely time. Pants about the lack of food though. Good job you were prepared

AnnainNZ · 01/09/2007 21:17

Littleoldme - that is a great tip about leaning forward to pee to empty the bladder more. I tried it last night (TMI maybe) and I slept through the night for the first time since April - 25 weeks!

Feel fab today as a result. So nice to wake up when it was light, not dark still-winter-over-here middle of the night.

Pixiefish · 01/09/2007 22:05

I leant forward earlier as well and weed longer than I have for ages iyswim.

Will try it again in abit before I go to bed

sparklygothkat · 02/09/2007 11:16

I am struggling with my diabetes. I can't seem to control it. The reading are all too high, no matter what I eat

iris66 · 02/09/2007 11:56

Sorry to hear that Sparkly (have left a msg on your thread)do try to relax a littl about it. You're still in a trial phase aren't you? I know that seeing the numbers is freaky but if they were really high on your GTT the hosp would have got you on insulin immediately. Keep plugging away at the low GI foods to find what suits you until you go back.

ara · 02/09/2007 12:05

hello everyone - poor you sparkly.

I think i should have scan pics on my profile now! LO was sleepy but lovely to see it's little face!!

iris66 · 02/09/2007 12:11

awwwwww - what a cutie bet you really can't wait now eh!

silkcushion · 02/09/2007 12:25

Ara - those scan photos are lovely. You are so lucky to know what yr baby looks like.

I went to a wedding yesterday (started at 12pm). Finally came home early at 10.30pm and feel absolutely shattered this morning. Anyone else feeling like an invalid?

littleoldme · 02/09/2007 13:04

Ara - what amazing pics!

Pixiefish · 02/09/2007 13:07
