JAECARTER · 31/10/2019 09:28

June 16th! Morning sickness is exhausting 🤢

AmyMaria2 · 31/10/2019 10:04

Zoey92 · 31/10/2019 10:30

@kez437 yea thanks he gave me anti nausea tablets i still feel rubbish but not as much nausea fingers crossed

MilsCookie · 31/10/2019 11:11

So I just had the most impersonal, underwhelming scan in Kerala (India) 🙈😂. It was like a conveyor belt of women having scans and each one only took about 3 minutes so they don’t explain ANYTHING to you! I lay down and she first did the external scan. Then she said she wanted to do the internal scan but my partner had to leave the room!! 😞 When she did the internal one I heard a sound and said ‘what was that?’ and she goes ‘that’s the heartbeat’ - but it only made a sound for a second and then it went off again. She didn’t let me listen again! I sat up to try and see the screen and she just went ‘that’s the baby. The scan is now over’. I wanted to ask questions but the next woman was already IN the room!! They did give me a copy of the notes and a scan photo, at least. But I’ve had to do some googling about what each thing means because they didn’t explain anything to me. Even though it wasn’t the best experience, I’m just so happy I heard the heartbeat and everything seems ok!

I’m also a little confused by the dates. I know exactly when I conceived (18th/19th September) so I have calculated my due date from that (10th June). The notes say the CRL is 0.71cm and therefore gestational age is 6 + 4. I think I am 8 + 1! Can anyone shed any light on this? (Photos attached) Thanks ladies! 💖

6 + 4 (or 8 + 1!) 🤷🏼‍♀️

@MilsCookie oh that's a weird experience but at least you got to hear the heartbeat. I'm not sure on the 6+4, is that ignoring the 2 weeks post prior period maybe? I recognise a couple of bits from mine, you ovulated from your right ovary, only one baby and the sac and pole is good :)

Lemonysherbet · 31/10/2019 11:45

I've taken the day off today. Felt so sick this morning so I didn't move, didn't want to throw up again. Got a cracking headache too. So relaxing in bed for the day.

MilsCookie · 31/10/2019 11:56

@Lemonysherbet ahhh that makes sense. So the baby has actually only been growing for 6 + 4 (which matches around the time of ovulation) but including the two weeks it’s 8 + 4?

How is everyone else dating themselves? From LMP or size of fetus?

Lemonysherbet · 31/10/2019 12:04

@MilsCookie it's the only way it makes sense? I know in the UK they data from LMP but they have that at the top of your letter seperate which made me think it. I could be wrong but logically it workd

APD1981 · 31/10/2019 12:05

@MilsCookie

The difference in dates might be because they don't calculate it from the first day of your last period. It changes country to country I think. Like I know in France they class the gestational period as 38 weeks, not 40. Could be the same here.

Glad you got to the see heartbeat despite the impersonal service! It's such a magical thing to see!

Anny27 · 31/10/2019 12:09

@MilsCookie thats strange as they have the age from LMP at the top but it looks like the size of the fetus is a little bigger than mine was (which was meassured 6+2) so seems like maybe your dates were a little off (you heard the heartbeat so thats a good sign!)

Got my next scan tomorrow to see whether it was wrong dates or whether its mmc. I suspect the later as i am so sure of when we conceived but we'll see!

I'm dating from LMP!

Bearytired · 31/10/2019 13:17

Hi all,
Scan went really well. So relieved I started crying! 8 weeks today (so back one day from estimate from period dates so due date of 11 June now). Looks like we might not be date twinnies @MilsCookie - sorry to hear how stressful that sounded! Hopefully next scan will be a lot calmer.

Really wishing you all healthy and well - so sorry to hear how poorly you are @Lemonysherbet and @Zoey92. @anny27 am crossing everything for you.

MilsCookie · 31/10/2019 13:25

@Lemonysherbet @APD1981 I think you both may be right!! I’ve also read somewhere that there is a range of growth rates between 7 and 11 weeks, but most foetuses get to a similar size by 12 weeks which is why they do the dating scan around then.

I suppose I’m just grateful that I heard the heartbeat and I’ll have to wait until the 12 week scan to find out a more accurate EDD! Also @Lemonysherbet are you feeling any better?

@Anny27 good luck with your scan tomorrow. Really hoping it’s good news for you!! Let us know how you get on 😘

I really don’t know what to put for how far I am now 🙈😂 I think I’m going to stick with the UK gestational age from LMP as I’m pretty sure I know the conception date! So...

8 + 1 😄

MilsCookie · 31/10/2019 13:28

@Bearytired that’s such good news!! So happy for you 😊 can we see a pic?! 🙊

@Zoey92 @JAECARTER I hope you both feel better soon!! (sorry I missed your posts - I find it hard to catch up with everyone!)

Lemonysherbet · 31/10/2019 13:43

Good luck for tomorrow @Anny27 I'll be thinking of you.

I'm feeling a little better thanks @MilsCookie @Bearytired. I mean I made it downstairs to the sofa and ate a pot noodle. My DH agrees I look like shite and need a long weekend 🤣

LillianFullStop · 31/10/2019 14:13

Hello I've just found this thread (I'm in the June 2020 ante natal club thread as well)

I'm either 9+3 (LMP) or 8+5 (private viability scan) I guess we'll know better at the dating scan?

I had a failed booking appointment this morning - signed in 10.05 for a 10AM appointment - ok I was 5m late! but the appointment letter says they will allow up to 15m within appointment time. So I was told at reception to take a urine sample and wait to be called in the waiting room... waited for 10-15 minutes after which the midwife comes out to tell me I was late and I had missed my appointment and needed to get it rebooked!! What a waste of a morning. Next time I'm going to knock on the doors and loudly announce my arrival instead of patiently waiting in the waiting room.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow @Anny27 Thanks

Nuggetlover27 · 31/10/2019 14:46

@MilsCookie and @Bearytired looks like we are all due the same day (although I'm still waiting for any scans to confirm) hoping I get one soon!

MilsCookie · 31/10/2019 15:18

@LillianFullStop omg that’s so frustrating! Did you manage to book another appointment soon?

@Nuggetlover27 @Bearytired I am pretty sure my calculations are correct so around 10th June but will be interesting to see what they say at the dating scan! 😊

Seventytwoseventythree · 31/10/2019 15:21

Hi everyone I had an early scan as was having some spotting, everything is fine and heartbeat looks good. 😊

Is anyone else really lightheaded? It’s taken over from nausea and is now my main issue. I can only stand for five min before feeling really dizzy but I’m fine when sitting or walking, and my BP has dropped quite a lot from my normal (I know this can happen in early pregnancy due to progesterone). Anyone else in the same boat? I am mainly drinking masses of water and sitting down whenever I can, but my work involves standing up a lot so it’s not great! Oh and my blood count is fine so not that.

7+3

Catlover10 · 31/10/2019 16:40

Hello i posted this in another thread but thought I’d post it here too since this seems like a nice thread to join...I am due around June 20th roughly! I have been feeling extremely nauseous the last couple of weeks and gagging when I look at most foods.( no vomiting as of yet though) and finding it very difficult to eat anything for most of the day, it lets up a bit in the evening but is then back as soon as I wake up! Watermelon seems to be good for when I can’t stomach anything much..I will suddenly get a random craving for a completely random food, go out and buy it, and by the time it comes to eating it I no longer want it!! confused feeling a bit tired as well! It’s my first child, I am 25 xx

Catlover10 · 31/10/2019 16:43

@Seventytwoseventythree I have been “seeing black” when I stand up quickly quite often now. This comes with a slight bit of dizziness. It is to do with the low blood pressure, and I didn’t have this before pregnancy so I think it might be normal to be a bit dizzy!
