I'm 14 weeks today and still feeling sick and being sick, I thought it would be over by now so I'm accepting the fact it could carry on the while way through, so if it does go away it will be a pleasant surprise 😁

Zoey92 · 30/11/2019 16:48

I miss my foooood 😂 I'd love to have a chinese but i know fine well my stomach would not appreciate that just yet 🤦‍♀️

Smiffette · 30/11/2019 17:43

@Zoey92 I know the feeling! Everything seems to give me heartburn at the moment ☹️

sarahlounich · 30/11/2019 17:50

@Smiffette oh god me too! But it’s not like burning heartburn it’s like a lump in my chest throat that makes me heave/ throw up. The constant nausea I has calmed down but this taken over it, particularly in the evening at night 😩

I seem to wake up in the night for the loo then realise I’m hungry, have some ginger vicious and take an hour or so to go back to sleep 😕

Busy day today visiting family after our scan yesterday which has been lovely but very ready for a quiet day tomorrow! Hope everyone has a relaxing Saturday evening.

Cornishbumpkin · 30/11/2019 19:25

Oh @Zoey92 and @Lemonysherbet so sorry to hear your feeling rubbish still. I'm having generally more good days than bad so the bad feel even worse now.

@sarahlounich I feel like that when I'm really tired after work. I hear you on the sleep too, I wake up to pee about 4am then just cannot get back to sleep!

Anyone found any good parts about pregnancy yet (apart from the obvious bundle of joy at the end) lol

peetieswie · 30/11/2019 20:28

@cornishbumpkin Definitely the best part so far for me is the husband running around while I lie on the sofa. The baby just wants so many things, and if I stand up, I feel sick. 🤷‍♀️
To be fair I'd rather than not feel sick and exhausted though.

Zoey92 · 30/11/2019 20:40

@Cornishbumpkini I've had a good 2weeks and just all come crashing down today still feeling awfull

AmyMaria2 · 30/11/2019 21:38

@peetieswie that's definitely the best thing so far, hoping there's more good to come!😂

Been away for a few nights, nice and relaxing and the sickness stayed away, so it was lovely🥰 x

@Cornishbumpkin, the best thing so far was telling my ds1 about it. The look on his face was amazing. My only regret is that I didn't film it. Instead I have recorded it in my mind. He has been asking me for a baby for nearly a year now. He used to ask for another brother but lately few times after fighting with his brother he says maybe a sister would be better.

Notnowokay · 01/12/2019 05:58

The best thing off being pregnant for me will come soon. Feeling the baby move, especially at first it is only me who would be able to feel it, like a hidden secret jewel that brings happiness and calmness that everything is fine.

Lemonysherbet · 01/12/2019 07:37

Oh I love this, it's good to reflect on the good parts as I just seem to moan on here!

The best thing about being pregnant is the overwhelming love I already have for the hamster sized baby I have growing inside me. 🥰

Cb31 · 01/12/2019 07:54

I'm really enjoying eating more food 😂. I've only put a couple of pounds on so far so I figure I need the extra food. Just eaten a giant crumpet 😋 x

APD1981 · 01/12/2019 08:02

The best things for me so far are being able to eat a bit more without the guilt and not having periods. Mine were so, so painful and once I've had the baby I will have a coil fitted again because it made my periods better.

But the overall best thing is how I have a new, positive focus now after my dad being so poorly with cancer and then his death in July. My whole family finally have something positive to look forward to and I'm so happy to have given my mum a new reason for carrying on. She's really struggling without my dad but she's soooo excited to be getting a new grandbaby!

Hi ladies

Glad to hear all of the positive scan stories. I have my NHS scan this week on Thursday but I’ve seen baby 3 times already (privately) because I’m neurotic!

I’m still getting the same symptoms - never had any sickness but have got sore breasts and excess discharge. Get mild headache off and on. Sleep also a bit disturbed now - was previously knackered all the time but feel I’ve more energy now yet I’m waking up a lot in the night and struggling to get back to sleep. I can’t get comfortable - feeling very bloated by end of the day and think that is contributing to it.

Cornishbumpkin · 01/12/2019 17:59

Lovely to hear all the positives ladies :) I'm excited to feel baby move for the first time

Babymaher · 01/12/2019 19:59

Scan day tomorrow feeling nervous already! Keep having days where I feel horrendous and other days where I feel ok.

AmyMaria2 · 01/12/2019 20:24

Hey good luck to all the girls with scans coming up, I can't wait to feel baby move either❤️ x

AmyMaria2 · 01/12/2019 23:29

Has anyone used a home Doppler? Thinking of getting one but don't know much about them, do they work well? x

Notnowokay · 02/12/2019 04:03

Good luck to all thoes with scans coming up.
@AmyMaria2, midwifes don't recommend using home doppler, so I just left it at that. Somethings about false reassurance and lack of medical training, among other things.

@hjbows88, I think the sleep disturbance is our bodies way to try and prepare/ train us for the sleepless nights ahead feeding baby. I have no idea where I got that from but it seemed plausible and I'm going with it.

hjbows88 · 02/12/2019 10:36

@Notnowokay that sounds feasible, I’ll go with it too! Good luck to the ladies getting their scans today/this week xx

Zoey92 · 02/12/2019 16:06

Currently recovering from the stomach bug that's doing its rounds, nice to hear all you other ladies are doing good though 😊

Lemonysherbet · 02/12/2019 17:57

@Babymaher how did your scan go?

I'm so tired today, butttt I haven't been sick and honestly I couldn't be more grateful. Really hoping that's it now :)

peetieswie · 02/12/2019 18:34

Definitely less tired and less sick recently, thank goodness. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, scan on Friday and then I can tell everyone! Not putting anything on Facebook I'll just tell people when I see them.

Dreading telling my friend who was trying for over a year, was taking hormones and about to try ivf when she found out fiance was cheating and they broke up and had to sell the 'fill with babies' house. She so desperately wants a child and we are generally a little group of three but my other friend got pregnant and she's hardly seen her since as it's too painful. I know me getting pregnant as well will just be awful for her. 😔

Babymaher · 02/12/2019 18:45

@Lemonysherbet my scan went very well thank you for asking. We have one healthy, wriggly growing baby my EDD has been brought forward by 3 days so now 12+3 time to tell work tomorrow. We aren’t telling our parents till Christmas Day as an extra big surpriseXmas Grin
