@Smiffette
Sorry you're still waiting. Are you calling them to chase it up? I guess it depends on the hospital. I got my scan letter even before my booking letter.

Smiffette · 22/11/2019 09:05

@Missgemini I was debating calling... I'll see if there is any post at home then maybe call later

RPPs · 22/11/2019 10:30

@Smiffette I chased mine up when it hadnt come through. Give them a ring.

AmyMaria2 · 22/11/2019 10:32

@Smiffette hope it comes through soon, could give them a ring before the weekend x

Smiffette · 22/11/2019 10:38

@RPPs I only had my booking appointment on Tuesday.... the bookings line is
Open until 8pm and on weekends so I will try and hang in until Saturday morning post, then ring!

I think I'm just starting to worry about the scan and test results even though I've had the early scan and everything was fine then! 😬

Missgemini · 22/11/2019 12:43

My 12 week scan went well. Baby was literally doing back flips. No joke. Me and DH were in floods of tears. I cannot believe the miracle happening inside my body.
Can't wait to meet the cheeky bugger that has sapped me of all my energy!
I calculated 12 weeks exactly. She measured 12+3. New EDD 2nd June :)

Smiffette · 22/11/2019 13:06

@Missgemini good to hear all is well! So cute about the back flips! It's going Robbie an active baby! 😃

Smiffette · 22/11/2019 13:07

Going to be!! Sorry don't know who Robbie is 😂

Zoey92 · 22/11/2019 13:37

Hi guys, been better this week now I'm on cyclizine, tiredness is making an appearance more often now.
Current go to....cheese an onion crisps 😂 and diluted orange juice 🙄

9+6

Missgemini · 22/11/2019 13:57

@Smiffette that Robbie comment cracked me up! Haha.
Crossing everything for you too :)

Missgemini · 22/11/2019 14:00

@Zoey92 you'd think mother nature would make pregnancy a more pleasant experience seeing as she wants us to reproduce and continue the human race!
Whoever said that pregnancy wasn't a sickness was lying for sure!

APD1981 · 22/11/2019 15:07

I've also had my 12 week scan today. I've gone from EDD of 6th June to 7th June. I actually expected it to be put back more as I ovulated on day 18/19 according to OPK. I'm sooooo happy it's 7th though as it's my mum and dad's anniversary and I lost my dad this year, just after their golden wedding. Feels meant to be ❤️

Everything was good and baby was bouncing round. Managed to get the NT neck measurement despite it having its hands up by its face all the time!

11+5

Zoey92 · 22/11/2019 15:17

@Missgemini honestly I'm scared to not take my rablets in the morning incase my day goes belly up. Hoping once next few weeks are over i can maybe come off them.

Notnowokay · 22/11/2019 16:12

@APD1981, the date thing is so sweet. Have you told your dm yet? Also I'm very sorry about your loss.

AmyMaria2 · 22/11/2019 16:46

@APD1981 sorry for your loss, sounds like it's definitely meant to be❤️ are you telling people now you've had the 12 week scan? Or have you already? x

Hello everyone I'm new to mumsnet, looking for some reassurance as I feel I'm going crazy! This is my first pregnancy due 06.06.2020 and am 12 weeks tomorrow, I have my dating scan next Thursday and I'm so nervous something would of happened to the baby, I have no reason to think this as had an early scan at 9+3 and seen heartbeat, also had no bleeding etc. But I can't shift this nervous feeling and it's all I can think about everyday! My symptoms seemed to have eased off over the past 2 weeks, however have visible big blue veins on tummy and breast, someone please tell me all this worry is normal and the chances my scan will be fine is likely 😩😊 thanks xx

Missgemini · 22/11/2019 18:14

@newbyxx My nausea eased off (not completely), but tiredness remained. Breasts are fuller (they were already big, so I'm scared haha). A normal scan at 9 weeks, I believe gives you a very good chance of a heart beat at 12 weeks, according to the information I have found online. But I know exactly how you're feeling. I had a scan at 6 weeks, but by week 8, I was riddled with nerves again. Just find a distraction of some sort. Crossing my fingers for you x

APD1981 · 22/11/2019 20:46

@Amymaria2 @notnowokay

I told my mum straight away because I couldn't wait. Giving her some good news and something to look forward to was so important. She is really struggling losing my dad so it's been so nice. I also needed her support because I've been so nervous about everything and I knew she'd help me with stuff.

We've told a few people today. We've actually come away for the weekend to a cottage with friends so was nice to be able to tell them. I want to tell as many people face to face if possible but I did ring my dad's brother and sister today to tell them over the phone. Lots of tears!

AmyMaria2 · 23/11/2019 01:51

@newbyxx I know exactly how you feel, I'm totally the same. No bleeding or cramps, just always thinking something will go wrong, have my 12 week scan Monday it can't come soon enough! But a heart beat at 9 weeks is so positive xx

@APD1981 aw, I told my mum straight away as well. It's so good to be at the 'safe to tell people' stage, I love telling people in person as well. I don't think I could hide it much longer anyway, feel like I already look 7 months lol. x

Cb31 · 23/11/2019 07:42

Hi all,
I'm new to mumsnet. @newbyxx I'm also due on 6/6/20 and it's my first pregnancy. I had really heavy bleeding at about 6 weeks. Had a scan and they weren't hopeful but said I had to come back 2 weeks later for another scan to check. Longest 2 weeks of my life! I was convinced it was over. But then at the next scan there was a little prawn with a heartbeat :). There was also a big blob and she mentioned subchorionic bleeding so I think it is a subchorionic hematoma. Has anyone else had this? I've got my dating scan on Friday (29th) and praying that everything is ok but really worried about the hematoma. I just need the next week to go as quickly as possible! x

newbyxx · 23/11/2019 09:24

@AmyMaria2 it's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one feeling like this, it can feel like you're on your own I've spoke to my boyfriend about it but I feel he thinks I'm being silly or negative as we had a good scan at 9 weeks, wish you all the best for Mondays scan 💕. Let's hope next week goes quick for all of us and all have happy positive outcomes 🤞🏻 please let me know how you get on xx

@Cb31 sorry to hear your story sounds like you've been through a scary time I've been worrying myself sick as it is let alone experiencing what you have, but what a positive outcome from the scan you had! Let hope this week goes quick for us 🤞🏻 wish you all the best for your scan xx

babysunshine · 23/11/2019 16:01

Hi @Cb31 did they say why they weren't hopeful at your 6 week scan, what did or don't they see at that point if you don't mind me asking?x

Alon789 · 23/11/2019 16:15

Hi ladies,

I had an ultrasound scanning last week (10 weeks + 5 days) and everything seems just fine except one issue - The Doctor said that it appears that there is a case of Umbilical hernia.

She told me that there is nothing to worry about and that its a pretty common thing that should be fixed naturally within a couple of weeks.

Are you familiar with this issue? is there really nothing to worry about?! because both me and my partner have been pretty stressed since then.

We are scheduled to have another Ultrasound screening in about a week (12 weeks + 4 days) so I hope to see that things have been sorted out by then, but some words of advice would definitely make me feel better.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

AmyMaria2 · 23/11/2019 17:36

@newbyxx yes definitely in the same boat, I'm so worried and anxious all the time, I had a scan at 8+5 and that was all good, but it just seems that was a really long time ago! Thank you I will let you know how it goes, yes hoping next week goes quickly for everyone. xx

@Alon789 sorry this is my first pregnancy I've not heard of that before, it sounds like your doctor wasn't to worried so I hope it does sort it's self out, good luck xx

Cb31 · 23/11/2019 18:14

Hi @babysunshine. I think it was because there was no heartbeat and they thought I was further along than I actually was. I did tell them that I was pretty certain that I ovulated really late but they just kept asking when my last period was.

@newbyxx thanks! Wishing you all the best too x
