@Lemonysherbet oh you're good, I lie there thinking, I wonder who invented time 😂 @Zoey92 I'm so glad it's not just me! X

APD1981 · 17/11/2019 10:11

@MrsD20

Yep. Ive had about 2 nights where I've not been awake for hours since I found out I was pregnant. It's driving me insane. I fall asleep at 8pm on the couch, go to bed about 9pm, eventually fall asleep about 10.30 and then I'm awake 3-5 ish usually.

peetieswie · 17/11/2019 11:07

I went out for lunch with a friend yesterday and bought some primark jeans in a size bigger than I normally get. Just put them on and had to squeeze into them! Feeling so fat which I'm hating. I think it's mostly all the crap I've been eating. Definitely also got the headaches.

Feel like I need to 'diet', or at least eat more healthily. I don't feel like I'm eating massive quantities though or much worse than usual. I'm vegan so still eating quite a lot of veg. How are you guys staying healthy, or not?

sarahlounich · 17/11/2019 12:00

@peetieswie the only things I’ve been able to stomach with nausea has been crumpets, pizza, baby bels, red grapes and Diet Coke .....so that’s my diet most days at the min! Before we found out I was at the gym 5-6 days a week and ate healthy 90% of the time however it’s survival right now! I was weighed at my booking appointment last week and at most put on 0.5kg. Feeling bigger but think that’s bloat from what I’m eating and the hormones! Midwife told me that whilst your feeling nauseous eat what your body wants so certainly don’t feel like dieting is anything you should be doing. At least your getting veg in 🙂

hjbows88 · 17/11/2019 14:57

I’ve been managing a fairly normal diet so far. Weeks 3 - 7 I craved jacket potato/chips a lot and was lower on fruit and veg than normal but still managed to eat healthily most of the time. Since week 8 I’ve basically eaten as I normally would - fruit, eggs, salad, normal dinners (cottage pie, lasagne, that sort of thing!) although I have a really sweet tooth this week and eating more chocolate than I normally would!

Sleep has been fairly normal although I’m up for the loo a few times (but I was before I was pregnant tbf) but I have had a few nights of night sweats and waking up very hot (but not every night, just once a week or less).

MsMiaWallace · 17/11/2019 16:01

My nausea is not great at the mo. I'm 9 + 2.

Just popped to my dads. Was going to tell him I'm pregnant but I bottled it Blush
I'm married, 33 & this is my 3rd baby!

Newmummytobe93 · 17/11/2019 19:04

Hello Ladies! I am new to this network and was hoping for some advice or maybe you went through a similar thing? I will try and keep it short. I'm 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant however, periods were super irregular and this is my longed for 1st preganncy at the age of 27 with PCOS conceived naturally. I went for my first scan privately at 6 weeks female Gyne quiet rude and blant told me it is shaped like a tear and won't last as she couldn't see an embryo, I was terrified so we went to EPU St Thomas's I was told for them it is just too early to state anything. We have waited two weeks which would make me 8 weeks and went for another scan however, the nurse said baby is quiet small and there is no scan although everything is where it should be. I am back tomorrow for another scan, I have hope that maybe baby is too small or can the heart be heard later in the weeks? So sorry for such a long thread but I am so confused. Thank you all for any replies, all the best to all the Mums ❤

Sahppire · 17/11/2019 21:59

Hi ladies! I'm after some advise!

How long do you ovulate for? I'm having some weird symptoms I'm supposed too be 1dpo but I'm not sure if that's the case!

APD1981 · 18/11/2019 07:59

Are we all coming up to our 12 week scans now?

I'm 11+2 today (due date 6/6/20) and have mine on Friday this week. I'm nervous and excited. Praying everything is OK! I'm also looking forward to being able to tell people next week. I've started to show a bit now and it's getting harder to hide it.

Only 4 more sleeps for me!

APD1981 · 18/11/2019 08:01

@Newmummytobe93

With having PCOS, do you actually know when you ovulated? If your cycle is long and irregular you might be earlier in your pregnancy than your LMP would indicate. They might account for what they can see on the scan.

Newmummytobe93 · 18/11/2019 09:33

@APD1981 thank you for your reply, only in 2019 was my period sort of "regural" but I still couldn't keep up so not sure at all when I ovulate. I did not have a period prior to that for 6 years!! I have a scan today If they find no heart and no further growth they will count it as missed miscarriage. But I have little hope x

APD1981 · 18/11/2019 09:59

Will be thinking of you. Let us know. And to not have a period for so long and get pregnant is amazing. X

AmyMaria2 · 18/11/2019 12:12

@Newmummytobe93 good luck, hoping the baby's just on the small side and everything will be fine!! x

@APD1981 I think most of us are coming up to our 12 week scans! Mines a week today, can't wait, and it will be so much easier when everyone knows as well, feel like I am showing loads! x

11+3

Zoey92 · 18/11/2019 12:19

@APD1981 I've got mine in 3weeks 🙂
I'll be 12+4 by then. I've a feeling my dates will change ive already had 2 reassurance scan and been given 2diff dates 😂

9+2

KirstyPadams · 18/11/2019 13:36

Afternoon!

Joining in the madness mayhem that is pregnancy...

I am 11+2 - due 7th June 2020 (according to my calculations)

Have my 12 week scan next Thursday....
To say I’m anxious is an understatement - I have started to convince myself I’m not actually pregnant. I have sore Boobs ALL the time and feel as though I’m gaining weight - I’ve just not had any other symptoms which is making me so nervous. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Baby was kind of planned but not I found out a day before I started a new job and not entitled to any mat leave which is worrying.

Talk to me ladies anyone else anxious as hell or am I being dramatic?

X

AmyMaria2 · 18/11/2019 14:22

@KirstyPadams hey congratulations! Don't worry so so anxious ALL the time! My symptoms come and go and every time they go I get so worried! I've got my 12 week scan a week today, cannot wait for that! It's a shame about no maternity pay, have you told your job about being pregnant? Or waiting a while? Xx

11+3

MooseBreath · 18/11/2019 14:50

I had my 12 week scan today, and I no longer have a June EDD! Expecting end of May. Smile

Nukins · 18/11/2019 15:03

I'm 10+2 today and this trimester is draaaagggging ..... 12 week scan on 2/12/19 🙏🏼

APD1981 · 18/11/2019 15:25

@Moosebreath

Wow! When's your new date? Glad all was OK x

AmyMaria2 · 18/11/2019 15:45

@MooseBreath glad your scan went well! X

RPPs · 18/11/2019 17:33

@MooseBreath you get the prize for the best name. Ha ha ha

Girl's Im 10+4 today and although Ive got all the other symptoms, thw CM is suppose to be clear now and mine is still milky. Sometimes bits are slightly greenish. Which is the sign off infection but Ive done a self swab and it was clear. Has anyone else got milky CM around 10-11 weeks?

Also this evening just started getting sharp pains in my lower abdomen. Anyone else had this? 12 week scan not until 28th. Too far away

peetieswie · 18/11/2019 18:24

Wahh I'm way behind, only 8+6. Have midwife appointment weds. Do they tell me scan date then?

@newmummytobe93 I had a scan at 6 weeks due to unknown pains and it showed a heartbeat so should definitely be able to see one at 8 weeks I think. Maybe not hear, but see.

So exhausted all the time. Is it OK to just tidy the house in a few weeks!? 😬

Cornishbumpkin · 18/11/2019 18:33

I'm with you there @peetieswie I'm 8+6 too, got my midwife appt next Tuesday. My house has been a tip for three weeks, finally found a flourish of energy today and it looks semi- presentable again. Just doing that has got me in bed at 6.15!

Notnowokay · 18/11/2019 20:05

@MrsD20, yes I get insomnia and wake up at 3am no matter what. I think it is the bodies way of preparing me for the sleepless nights to come with a new born baby.

@Newmummytobe93, I'm sorry to hear about the scare and the rude person. I hope you had good news at your scan today, or at least a definitive answer. So you could know what the next step is.

@MsMiaWallace, I have never told my dad and we are roughly the same age. My parents are together so I only tell my mom and she tells the world. Lool.

@Sahppire, I think ovulation happens when the egg is released and an egg is viable for 24hr. Sometimes the body prepares itself for ovulation and then changes it mind. Or the body realises two eggs who can become fraternal twins.

@APD1981, I just had my scan today and my due date is now 25th May. Lool, my body ovulated two weeks earlier than normal. Oh snap to @MooseBreath and congratulations.
