I've been struggling with making myself drink these past few days too. It's hard as I'm dehydrated but it makes me feel sick. And the only thing I can face is water!

Zoey92 · 15/11/2019 10:16

Im really struggling today, tiredness & vomiting

Smiffette · 15/11/2019 17:05

I'm really not enjoying these headaches ☹️ luckily they seem to just come in the evenings so I can go to bed.... dreading they come when I'm at work!

I'm reluctant to take paracetamol..... I've done so on a couple of occasions when it's got really bad.

Any tips for coping with them??

LillianFullStop · 15/11/2019 17:16

So sorry to hear @Vio112 Thanks

I hope DH comes home soon to be with you.

AmyMaria2 · 15/11/2019 17:17

@Smiffette I get the headaches, they're awful! Can't watch tv or look at my phone late at night, I have been trying to take as little paracetamol as possible, I lay in bed with cold flannel on head, can't suggest much else! x

I got my 12 and 20 week scans through, I'll be 12+3 at the next one I can't wait.

11+0

Smiffette · 15/11/2019 17:23

@AmyMaria2 thanks that's pretty much what I do, just hate having to go to bed even earlier than normal!

How exciting! I'm looking forward to my booking appointment on Tuesday then getting my 12 week scan through!

I hope I get it through quickly as I don't want to miss my opportunity to have blood tests

10+1

AmyMaria2 · 15/11/2019 17:56

@Smiffette I don't think there's a lot else we can do unfortunately! I only take paracetamol when it's really bad.

Ah yeah good luck with your booking appointment it makes things seem more real! And I got my scans through 4/5 days after, so shouldn't be to long!

Well my anti sickness tablets are no longer working, ive just woken up and immediately feel sick, really getting me down now. Ive not ate or drank properly in 5days

Cornishbumpkin · 16/11/2019 11:12

@Zoey92 I really feel for you! Which tablets are you on? My GP said weeks 8 and 9 are generally the worst. If your not able to keep fluids down have a low threshold for ringing 111 or going to an emergency department as could could need some IV fluids. I'm on my third type of meds starting them this morning, hoping this time they will work. Hope your feeling better soon

Zoey92 · 16/11/2019 14:08

@Cornishbumpkin they've given me cyclizine to try this time around fingers crossed, I'm 9weeks today. Yesterday was the worst day for me i felt so bad. She told me this morning if lack of fluids persist id have to go in

Cornishbumpkin · 16/11/2019 14:39

@Zoey92 Hopefully it works for you and you don't have to go in

AmyMaria2 · 16/11/2019 15:31

@Zoey92 it's awful when you can't eat or drink anything 😔 I hope you feel better soon, my sickness totally stopped at 9+5, hope yours does too! x

Hi everyone

Hope it’s ok to join in. I’m currently 9+2. Had early scan at 6+1 and 8+2 due to absolute paranoia! Both scans were fine, showed heartbeat etc. But still keep worrying about every change.

I’ve not had any morning sickness. I got occasional very temporary waves of nausea between week 6-8 but that has subsided now. I also went off coffee but been back on that the last few days. Other than that my only symptoms have been bloating and constipation which have also now subsided and discharge, which comes and goes. Haven’t really had any problems with tiredness. I think my lack of symptoms is making me constantly worry and feel I’m not pregnant plus the internet keeps telling me no morning sickness indicates higher risk of MC :(

Hope everyone is feeling better today, I know I should be grateful to be having it easy as a lot of you seem to have some horrible symptoms!

hjbows88 · 16/11/2019 16:06

Should add, my boobs hurt as well but they always have done so not necessarily a pregnancy symptom!

AmyMaria2 · 16/11/2019 16:16

@hjbows88 congratulations and welcome! It's so normal to be worried, I've been an anxious mess most the time I'm 11+1 today. I've already had 2 scans and my 12 week ones on the 25th which seems so far away!! My symptoms have disappeared other than discharge. It's so worrying but just try and remember how exciting this all is as well!! Is this your first baby? x

hjbows88 · 16/11/2019 16:23

Yes this is my first. I’m a born worried anyway. I know there’s nothing I can do and I know the risk is lower now we’ve seen heartbeat twice and I’m over 9 weeks but I still constantly symptom check. I’ve had a reduction in symptoms the last few days (they haven’t disappeared) but this happened in week 6 as well which is why I had a scan. Symptoms came back the week after though! I know I need to just calm down! The scans only give reassurance for a few days and then I’m back to worrying 🙄😩

Hope you’re having a good pregnancy so far! X

MrsD20 · 16/11/2019 16:47

Congratulations @hjbows88 🥳

If it's any consolation, I have had the exact same experience as you so far regarding symptoms or lack of. I have sore boobs but they come and go, I have had no sickness at all but every now and then just feel a little sick first thing in the morning and I'm really bloated and have lots of wind! (Poor DH) 🙈

I have also already had 2 scans, one to make sure it was only 1 baby (I took a fertility drug) and the other because I freaked out one day when boobs no longer hurt! I also have one on Monday at 9+6 but worried sick that it'll be bad news.

I think the morning sickness thing is just dependent on the person and how your body deals with the level of progesterone. You're bloated and your boobs hurt, these are also signs of progesterone levels increasing so try and relax as much as you can ☺️❤️ xxx

hjbows88 · 16/11/2019 16:49

@MrsD20 it’s reassuring to hear others are having similar experiences! I hope your scan goes well on Monday and gives you some relief from the worry :) I keep considering booking in another between now and my 12 week scan but it’s less than 3 weeks until that and know I need to stop the scan addiction before it gets out of control 😂

MrsD20 · 16/11/2019 17:09

@hjbows88 Thanks lovely 😊 oh god it's so easy to become addicted isn't it?! As soon as you see the heartbeat, you just want to see it every day 😍 All the best x

Zoey92 · 16/11/2019 19:10

So far so good ladies (touch wood) slight nausea but I've managed abit food and drink today. Tomorrow will be the test when im heading into Newcastle to kick start the christmas shopping 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ im so behind because the nausea has had me ruined

BudgieBird · 16/11/2019 21:54

@hjbows88 I know that feeling, same thing happening to me. My doctor said that at this point it's perfectly normal for symptoms to come and go, so all we can do is really try to not ruminate. Easier said than done of course! It may help to not read about pregnancy for a few days. I was really worried when I felt perfectly normal other than some minor breast tenderness for several days in a row, especially because with twins I figured I should be feeling worse than most! But then my belly popped overnight at the start of this week so I know it's real.

9 weeks + 5 with twins now, and I'm in the maternity trousers. I did NOT expect that, but out of nowhere, bumpsville! It's going to be tough hiding this from work for a few more weeks...

hjbows88 · 16/11/2019 22:48

@BudgieBird omg twins, how amazing! Good advice, I think I’ll step away from the internet for a few days to try and distract myself a bit :) after I posted this earlier I then got loads of discharge and I’m back to being constipated so looks like the symptoms have returned again today :) I’m looking forward to getting a bump although I’m a really small person (just under 5ft 1) and naturally quite petite so not sure whether I’ll show until I’m quite advanced. Looking forward to it though, must be nice to actually ‘see’ your pregnancy :) x

MrsD20 · 17/11/2019 08:12

Morning all, question, have any of you have really bad insomnia since being pregnant? I say bad I just mean waking up for a good couple of hours in the night and being wide awake 🙄 it's infuriating and wondered if it's just me! X

Lemonysherbet · 17/11/2019 08:25

Hey @mrsd20

I've had that quite a bit over the past couple of months. It's eased off again lately. Whenever it happens I lie there thinking, this will be with a feeding baby this time next year and it makes me feel so content :)

Zoey92 · 17/11/2019 09:11

@MrsD20 god yes woke up fri/sat 1:30 till 4:30 drives me insane
