@Catlover10 I so feel your pain I've been signed off work - my GP is really sympathetic as she worked in my department a little while ago so knows how tiring it is. I can't believe how tired I am too though, just showering and washing my hair today completely took it out of me. I'm loving this thread to know we're not going through it alone

@Zoey92 oh no so sorry to hear it's come back!

@BudgieBird I would embrace being free of those aweful symptoms. Can you wear loose fitting stuff at work to try and hide it a bit longer. In awe of you working through this! Congrats on the twins! How did you find out so early that you we're having twins?

@peetieswie welcome, so sorry to hear you've had a troubling time. Fingers crossed for Thursday

MissisBee · 03/11/2019 13:28

My nausea was bad last night, went to bed before 9, even though I'd had a nap in the afternoon. Probably would have felt better if I'd let myself be sick, but I really hate being sick. Last time, there came a point when I just couldn't stop it and the fear lessened a bit, but haven't got there yet this time. Lots of reflux symptoms too - permanent sour taste in my mouth and all food feels like it just sits in my chest. Contemplating ringing the Dr next week for something, but will probably go for reflux stuff before anti-sickness first.

Im now having slight spotting im not going to panic too much for now as its the same as Thursday very light in colour and ver little, i was told its very common while implantation is occurring

Vio112 · 03/11/2019 14:23

Hi everyone, my nausea is really ramping up now. I'm about 6 weeks now. We've decided to tell my in laws next weekend as we're all going away for a long weekend and it would be really difficult to keep it a secret otherwise. It will be such a relief to me to be able to talk about it! Just hope everything goes smoothly.

mrsc1987 · 03/11/2019 16:15

Had our early scan today all looks good even have a little video of baby where i can see the heart flickering, it was amazing to see! It's measuring 7w5d only a month exactly until our 12 week scan too.

AmyMaria2 · 03/11/2019 21:37

@mrsc1987 glad your scan was good, I had mine on wednesday they sent me a clip of the heartbeat as well, it's amazing! xx

AndddddHerewegoagain · 03/11/2019 21:43

Hi everyone been stalking this thread for a while. Due 12th June.

Just on a sickness note my midwife asked which prenatal vitamins i was taking and i said 7 seas. She said lots of women report feeling sick/ being sick on these and suggested i changed to pregnacare. I have done and the sickness hasn't gone completely but its definitely better than it was.

Hoping this helps someone else. I had no sickness with my first pregnancy so iys3 has hit me hard second time round Sad

peetieswie · 03/11/2019 22:26

Thanks for this. Im on seven seas but have pregnacare ready for when I run out so might change over now and see if it makes a difference! Have many of you had much time off work? I've had to leave early a few times and feel really guilty. Doesn't help I lift share so someone has had to drive me home!

AmyMaria2 · 03/11/2019 22:38

@AndddddHerewegoagain congratulations!
I'm taking the 7seas vitamins I don't think they affect my sickness, I felt worse on pregnacare in the early days, maybe different for everyone.

Nuggetlover27 · 03/11/2019 23:03

@AmyMaria2 I agree! Time is going so slowly. I'm 8+3 today. Feels like I've known I'm pregnant for ages!

@mrsc1987 your scan sounds like it was amazing. I got my letter through yesterday for my scan. It's not until 2nd December. Feels like so far away. I just want to know now that all is okay. I should be just over 12 weeks by then and I'm struggling to not tell people. I've promised myself I won't be telling anyone (except my husband and mum) until after we have had a scan. It's hard to keep it a secret!

@peetieswie luckily I haven't had to take any time off work yet (touch wood!) although I am getting more and more tired already. And for the past few days have been getting dizzy spells Confused

Lemonysherbet · 04/11/2019 02:43

Hey all,

I got sickness bands yesterday to see if they would help. After projectiling over the bathroom I will literally try anything! I wasn't sick in the evening so not sure if it was them, but I'll keep trying and report back if I think they've helped in case they could help someone else too :)

mrsc1987 · 04/11/2019 06:06

@Nuggetlover27 it was so cool, this one was amazing but my 12 week is on the 3rd December i cant wait for that one to see how much baby has grown. @AmyMaria2 aww the little video is so amazing i cant stop watching mine the first thing i did when i woke up this morning was open it up and watch it again

Kez437 · 04/11/2019 13:25

@AndddddHerewegoagain I've been taking the 7 Seas and my nausea is through the roof. I'm having to leave work early today as I'm literally not functioning. My 7 Seas ran out yesterday and was going to go buy more today but might now try Pregnacare instead so thank you for the tip. Fingers crossed it helps

AndddddHerewegoagain · 04/11/2019 13:29

Hope it helps @Kez437

I had no sickness with my first pregnancy it's really hit me hard this time. How many weeks are you? Apparently 9 weeks is the worst week which is next week for me so have that to look forward to Envy not envy

APD1981 · 04/11/2019 16:44

I'm currently 9+2 and sickness and nausea has hit hard the past few days. I also have some insomnia so I'm barely functioning. I've not idea how I'm going to get through work tomorrow and Wednesday. Luckily I'm part time so only in 2 days this week but it's a job that's not very forgiving of illnesses. You just have to get on with it!

Zoey92 · 04/11/2019 17:14

Ah god dont tell me 9weeks is the worst i didnt think it could get worse🤦‍♀️

BudgieBird · 04/11/2019 17:35

@Cornishbumpkin That's good advice - the nausea seemed to return this morning but it may just be dodgy food as my husband isn't feeling that great either! I found out early about the twins because I was having infertility treatment and my reproductive endocrinologist did an ultrasound around 5 weeks to confirm everything was progressing normally. We saw two gestational sacs then, and possibly a third but thankfully that disappeared! I'm a worrier and always will be, what can I say...

AmyMaria2 · 04/11/2019 17:49

I'm 9+3 today and I think my symptoms have calmed down, so hopefully 9 weeks isn't to bad for you girls x

MsMiaWallace · 04/11/2019 18:38

Is anyone just feeling really sick in waves?

Cornishbumpkin · 04/11/2019 18:53

@BudgieBird aww extra special babies then congratulations! Sounds like it could be a bit of dodgy food!! Hope your both feeling better soon!

@AmyMaria2 been having a horrendous day today with nausea and been desperately googling someone to say it goes earlier than 12 weeks just to give me some hope so this has cheered me up lol

@MsMiaWallace sadly mine is just constant, if yours comes in slow waves throughout the day it could be dips in your blood sugar

APD1981 · 04/11/2019 19:18

@MsMiaWallace

Mine generally comes in waves. Just comes over me out of the blue and sometimes ends in vomiting and sometimes it just passes. I find I feel sick when hungry now too (and I'm hungry a lot!) and eating actually helps it.

peetieswie · 04/11/2019 19:28

Definitely went through a period where if I didn't eat for too long I'd start retching. Eased off a bit now but still need to eat regularly. Exhausted after teaching all day so curled up in bed now!

Zoey92 · 04/11/2019 20:06

My nausea comes in waves all day, been ok today though so tomorrow will no doubt be bad 🙄

MissisBee · 04/11/2019 21:40

My nausea is worst first thing and in the evening, especially if I'm late getting breakfast or dinner. Which is a problem on the 2 days a week I work until 6. I'm not feeling as sick as I was last time, but that may because I'm managing it better. Very glad for that though

rampantrose · 04/11/2019 22:31

My nausea just hits me like a tonne of bricks whenever it feels like it. The only ease I get is wearing my sickness bands (they've helped a fair amount!) and eating almost non stop. I ate half a late portion of chips from the chippy and a battered sausage and was still hungry. Have just ate a family size rhubarb crumble and ice cream and still hungry. I normally have a good appetite but this is unbearable! If I don't keep eating and drinking almost non stop I'm heaving badly and can feel the sick in the back of my throat but can't actually be sick!

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and dreading 9 weeks as heard its meant to be worse xx
