@facevalue Just back from docs and he thinks viral and told me to cancel fly jab today and rebook for a couple of weeks time. He said it's not scabies, and he said the liver thing doesn't usually show until the second trimester and I am only just 12 weeks currently. Here is hoping it goes soon...

Raindancer411 · 08/11/2019 11:36

Flu not fly, silly fone!!

facevalue · 08/11/2019 11:53

@Raindancer411 i'm glad u got seen and hopefully it will settle soon. funnily i FLY tonight with my DD .. going to see family for 2 weeks .. i'm dreading travelling alone...

Clairesoph · 08/11/2019 12:40

@Moonstone12 that is so reassuring to read, my biggest drawback with everything is worrying too much about what other people will think! You are amazing, Im sure having a baby is like riding a bike, you never really forget. I guess itll be harder because alot of stuff has probably changed but you raised the other 3 just fine 🤷🏻‍♀️😍

Purple29 · 08/11/2019 13:31

Went for my official dating scan today and everything still looks good, still on track for May 19th due date. Little one was jumping about like crazy and went all camera shy, kept turning away.... took her ages to get a good pic!! Lol. So in love already!!! 😍

facevalue · 08/11/2019 14:05

@Purple29 congratulations x very exciting seeing baby x

fluffyunicorns86 · 08/11/2019 16:41

good evening ladies,

hope you are all ok? i had 12 week scan nearly 3 weeks ago but now keep feeling something is wrong or going to go wrong. seeing midwife wednesday just hate feeling like this just wish i could see everything is ok everyday.

Missmuck · 08/11/2019 17:33

@fluffyunicorns86 I know exactly how you feel though I should say the feeling is not as strong the further I go along (14 weeks today) I've never felt so stressed with my other 2 pregnancies I think 1 because of my age (36) and 2 Google - I didn't have internet access with the other 2 pregnancy's! I have a scan 2 weeks today a private gender scan so I'm hoping the feeling of 'somethings' going to go wrong subsides even more then x

fluffyunicorns86 · 08/11/2019 17:51

@Missmuck i am 14 weeks 4 days today. i was hoping to get a gender scan but may have to skip that. seeing midwife wednesday so hoping she be able to help me a bit feel differently. i am also having a cervical stitch put in at 16+3 due to history. hope your worries settle soon hun x

Sunshine8888 · 08/11/2019 18:45

@fluffyunicorns86 I have the same worries! I’m 14+6 today and just want to know baby is ok! Desperate to feel movement or some sign that she’s doing well in there!

sazzlerazzle · 08/11/2019 19:00

@facevalue I’m well thank you! Hope you’re ok? The secret is well and truly out now and it’s such a joy to be able to talk about it. Makes it feel real :)

@fluffyunicorns86 I’m the same! 16 weeks soon and wishing I could be sure everything is ok? It helps knowing other people feel this way and that I’m not being irrational!

@firsttimeivfmum welcome! And congrats on your news, you must be so excited. Embrace having that bump :)

Is anyone else still waiting for screening results? It has been just over two weeks since my dating scan and I’m still waiting. They did say it would be 2-3 weeks but I know a few of you had results almost straight away. I don’t understand why they wait until the dating scan to do the test, I would have happily gone in beforehand so I could get my results on the day of the scan.

rosewater20 · 08/11/2019 19:36

I love seeing everyone's 12-week scans! I am now 11 wks, 6 days but I don't have my 12-week scan until the 22nd. Waiting two more weeks to see if the baby is okay is going to drive me insane. Our Harmony test results should be back today or tomorrow so anxiously waiting to find out that baby is healthy and what the baby is. Nausea is still in full swing and is worse this week, but I am trying to take that as a good sign. Hopefully, that means the baby is healthy and growing?

I am relieved to see so many of you saying that your healthy eating has gone out the window. I am usually a very healthy eater, but the only thing that doesn't make me heave right now is carbs, apples and grapes.

Pastnowfuture · 08/11/2019 21:53

I visited a friend today. She is on maternity enjoying her beautiful baby girl who is seven months old. She very kindly gave me a pile of stuff- moses basket, clothes, nursing pillow and bath. Seeing these baby things piled up in our spare room is quite surreal! Another little moment of 'oh my gosh this is actually happening!'

On a side note has anyone been tempted to visit the mothercare closing down sale?

slowrunningteacher · 08/11/2019 22:41

I managed an evening out tonight! It's the 1st time since finding out that I was pregnant that I've managed a working day, followed by staying out past 10pm. Ok, I was mainly sat on my backside in a nerdy comedy gig, but I was out! Usually I have a 2 hour nap/rest when I get in from work.
Maybe I can do this! (Now 11+5)

123Pandy · 08/11/2019 22:45

@Pastnowfuture I was thinking the same thing re mothercare. Apparently mamas & papas might go into administration too. Might be the time to stock up!

rosewater20 · 09/11/2019 04:00

Has anyone experienced changes in their hair? I have always heard that pregnancy causes hair to stop falling out, but my hair seems to be falling out at the same rate as before. I am hoping it stops soon so I can enjoy the thick lovely hair that pregnant women are meant to get.

I am a bit paranoid about my hair because my mother has very thin hair and has always said that hers fell out when she was pregnant with me and never grew back. I am not sure how true that is, but I am hoping I can avoid it!

Clairesoph · 09/11/2019 07:31

@Pastnowfuture I have been really tempted by Mothercare, we have one about 10 minutes away. I looked online and savings dont look huge yet and an article I read says warehouses are fully stocked so there is a lot to shift. I might wait it out to see if they reduce further. Second baby for us though so I dont really need to buy anything major 😅 id defo be making the most if I needed prams/car seat/ cot etc!

woollycat · 09/11/2019 07:56

I want to start buying stuff but I have no idea what we'll need! 🥴 Any handy guides / checklists for what is needed?

I have been wondering about a maternity coat - given the bump will appear in the coldest months I am assuming I'll have to get a special coat as doubt mine will zip up. Any recommendations? Ideally it'd be something I can wear even with a small bump, and maybe after pregnancy too.

11+6 today, dating scan is on Monday! 🥳

Missmuck · 09/11/2019 08:15

My sisters friend works on Clark's in Mothercare at the moment it's 10% off then going down by 10% extra each week but obviously it will be hot and miss what's left when there's like 40/50% off I'm finding stuff cheaper online and even buying nearly new stuff online had some real bargains that I'm happy with x

Katyb89x · 09/11/2019 08:43

Hi everyone, my scan isn't until friday 15th! Feel like I've waited for SO long, cant wait to see the baby again! Does anyone feel worried when the nausea subsides? Or is that just crazy me - after my missed miscarriage last time, I'm petrified of the same thing happening again! Xxx

123Pandy · 09/11/2019 08:52

@woollycat I was thinking of buying one of those coats that tie up (like a dressing gown). That way can tie it above bump as it grows. Not sure they are very warm though.
@Katyb89x I'm the same. Don't worry - everything will be fine 😊

Pastnowfuture · 09/11/2019 09:31

@woollycat I'm thinking about a coat too. I walk the dog everyday and need something to keep me cosy. My bump isn't that big but my usual coat is fairly tight fitting so won't last long. I've noticed a few maternity coats can be adapted later so that baby can be in a sling and snuggled in the coat with you.

@rosewater20 I heard all those rumours about thick hair but mine has been coming out even more than usual. The hoover and plughole is full of the stuff! I'm thinking it could be because I've got such terrible vomiting and my once healthy diet now only consists of crumpets and fruit. My skin is definitely suffering so I'm assuming my hair is too.

mintbear · 09/11/2019 09:38

Hi everyone!
Currently lay in bed wondering if I should move, I woke up at 5 and was sick by 6. I'm 15+2 today, just taken an anti sickness as I need to function today.

I having a scan this afternoon (very excited) with family so it'll be lovely. Not finding out gender just yet but I'm convinced I'm having a boy.

Symptoms/update for this week:
Still feeling and being sick.
Headaches have been horrid.
Still have very back back acne.
Acid is very much there.
Bump is huge. I'm not exaggerating, my friends told me I look 6months, slightly sensitive about this and will mention size to midwife.
Lower Back is very sore, started my pregnancy hydrotherapy sessions at the hospital this week.
Tiredness continues- but I'm getting a good nights sleep, usually 8.30-5.
I've had no sight of the second trimester 'glow' or energy burst...I'm calling bs.

So I'm physically feeling pretty crap but I am starting to get excited about the baby and connecting all these symptoms to pregnancy rather than just thinking I'm ill.

I'll see if I can post a scan pick later x

RacBell · 09/11/2019 09:45

Hi everyone 👋🏼
My scan isn’t until 18th I feel like I’ve been waiting forever. I had a scan at 7 weeks all fine, gave me due date 28th May ☺️ I’ve been so sick I’ve lost 20lb already. Lost 3 and a half stone with my last son from HG. It’s never ending. Hoping the sickness wears off now I’m heading into second trimester 🤞🏼

Missmuck · 09/11/2019 10:14

@Katyb89x I haven't been sick but feel sick if I don't eat regularly I normally have toast at 5am or I can't go back to sleep for an hour lol, I had a time when my boobs weren't sore and I just didn't feel pregnant it was horrible and made me feel really sad but had my 12 week scan and felt a lot better x
@woollycat I've just bought one of those teddy bear coats from primark in a bigger size fit £20 bargain! Luckily I have smart coats from when I was fatter I can wear for anything nice x
@mintbear have a lovely family scan, I'm convinced I'm having a boy too x
@RacBell I hope your sickness subsided soon you must be bloody awful I feel crap without being sick x
Did anyone watch the programme called Big Birthers about mums with high BMI mines high but I had lost over 4st before getting pregnant x
