@facevalue I love how passionate you are and I completely agree.

I'm currently sat in the car while my son is playing his football match.. as he got out he goes "thanks for watching mum" 😂 I may force myself out for the 2nd half to wave and then get some cardio in as I run back to the car.

I've lost all enjoyment of most food and stuff to drink. Anyone suffered with this. I literally push my food around the plate and feel full after couple bites. Only seem to enjoy fruit...

Herewego2020 · 02/11/2019 11:54

Regards to birth I think I shall choose Midwife led birth unit like I had with my first born 😃. My second born was such a rush I literally only just made it in time.. I wanted to finish my toast before I left but then got caught in morning traffic so I literally had him within 20 mins of arriving 🙊. Won't make same mistake this time

woollycat · 02/11/2019 12:15

@Lifesforlivingandloving oooo, did you apply for the tour online or asked the midwife at the hospital? I'd like to get a tour too!

Pastnowfuture · 02/11/2019 12:52

@Herewego2020 I have exactly this. Didn't realise how much joy I actually got out of eating until it was gone. Usually if my OH was eating cake/biscuits I would be wanting some too but now I don't even bat an eyelid and eating anything has become a chore. The impact of pregnancy is so strange!

Lu1u · 02/11/2019 14:26

@woollycat 30 mins will be fine - uncomfortable but fine! Our hospital is 20-25 mins away and during my labour with my first I did the journey 3 times whilst having contractions 😅 you will be so in the zone when the time comes you won't even notice how long it takes

Lifesforlivingandloving · 02/11/2019 15:27

@woollycat
No you can just turn up for it hun . It's the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at 2pm sharp 😊 x

november90 · 02/11/2019 16:36

Omg I'm having a bad day today.
I'm so exhausted it's unreal.. feeling sickly, soar boobs, headache, cba with anything.... it's a bad day! They baby must be going through some serious growing today and don't I know it!
Feeling rubbish but so lucky at the same time 💕

I just do not remember this tiredness with my first. It's crazy how different pregnancies are!

@november90
I'm the same today. I was sick this morning and the sicky feeling hasn't really gone away. Just went to a friends house, she had some people over, I ran to the loo twice in the hour I lasted.. it's just really miserable.
Back home on the sofa now, feeling pants, its difficult not to feel low when it's been so crap for so long now. I'm just hoping I don't feel like this the whole way through.
You are not alone, here hoping tomorrow will be more positive for us both

enchantedspleen · 02/11/2019 18:36

I am so so relieved to hear other people have been hungry Caterpillar-ing as much as me, haha! I'm luckily craving fruit and nuts and not kitkats... But 3 apples a day washed down with pineapple juice and half a bag of cashews cannot be good!!!
Blush
I get extremely tired too. Like, talking nonsense tired if I stay up beyond 9. It's become a bit of a joke in this house!
How is everyone tonight?

sazzlerazzle · 02/11/2019 19:33

@enchantedspleen oh I wish I was craving the healthy stuff! Really having to force myself to eat well. Salad isn’t so bad but really not interested in fruit.

Tonight we’ve got a takeaway and will our a movie on (although I’ll be asleep half an hour in no doubt 😂) Have a great evening, everyone x

facevalue · 02/11/2019 20:06

sympathy all the mums to be suffering like me!

i don't remember feeling so rubbish last time!

struggling to find any joy in food.

@enchantedspleen nothing wrong with apples/ pineapple and cashews! can u add milk and egg with your multivitamins .. i think that's your calcium and protein covered. maybe something with iron too so maybe spinach on the side. i'm off meat so i can't be a hypocrite and suggest it to u! 🙄

i do like chopped melon/pineapple/mango. i buy the ready chopped stuff from the supermarket so probably not that healthy.

off topic... i'm feeling some passive aggressiveness from my MIL. she was off when i sent pics of my DD on halloween she had fun trick and treating .... she ignored it completely .. i asked today if they had many kids knocking on their door- just making polite conversation and she went mental on how the practice is american bla bla bla ... i thought it was unnecessary ! even the bloody queen gets involved! she then asked what my mum thought about the pregnancy ( obviously my mum would be delighted!) anyway, i said she was happy and still advised me to take it easy! MIL then says: i'm just curious why would u take it easy? 😳😳😳 i said: i'm 40 and already had a MC so obviously my mum wants me to be careful i think out of love!

plz tell me i'm being overly sensitive and these comments are completely normal!

🥵🥵🥵🥶 some ppl i will never bloody understand

enchantedspleen · 02/11/2019 20:46

@facevalue
I wouldn't worry. You should deffo take it easy. Your MIL might have been able to run a marathon while cleaning the toilet when she was pregnant but meanwhile in the real world...Grin
Yeah, it's more the amount I eat. I'm not a big eater but tonight for example I had a small chips and a small sausage from the chippy for dinner, walked out and omg I was STILL hungry. I feel so greedy!

november90 · 02/11/2019 21:00

@facevalue everyone just has to have an opinion don't they! Listen to your mum, she knows best! Your MIL sounds like she's not being very understating or compassionate (hope you don't mind me saying!). If there's ever a time in your life you should be taking it is then it is right now! ❤️

My cravings are so random. When I'm feeling sickly I want beige food like crisps, potato's, toast.... couldn't stomach anything sweet. But when I'm feeling good I just want pick and mix sweets particularly the fizzy ones which is SO random for me! I've never been into them before. I'm also very interested in pastries and pain au chocolat 😍😍😍

I'm really struggling drinking though, is anyone else the same? Before pregnancy I drank so much water, it was crazy! But early sickness put me right off it and now I struggle to drink anything. I don't even know why I struggle, the thought doesn't make me feel overly sick... just the thought of drinking it is really difficult. I will literally have a bottle of water or juice next to me for hours and I can't drink it! I don't mind the thought of milk or almond milk.... but I can't really carry bottles of that around with me all day 🙈 anyone else experiencing this random issue?!

november90 · 02/11/2019 21:02

My diet is shocking though!!! I went right of salad and veg in the early days and could not stomach it whatsoever. I know I need to eat better now I'm starting to feel better but it's really hard isn't it 🙈

helpasisterout · 02/11/2019 21:21

@facevalue

Don't worry a thing about what your MIL says she isn't living in your mind and feeling the nerves you feel!

We are both looking forward to shari Ming the nice news with my parents as they are very careful with what they say and polite and his are... less tactful and think everything is still the same practice as the 50's. A distant relative has a 8month old baby girl, her gran looked after her while they went to the village fundraiser party for a couple of hours two miles from the baby... and MIL thought it was a disgrace as you can't go out when you have a baby.... 😳🤦🏽‍♀️

facevalue · 02/11/2019 21:53

@helpasisterout disgrace that she left an 8 months old 😳!!!! most women are back to work around then anyway ...

i will sound mean but my sis left her 2 weeks old bottle fed baby with a nanny to go to a dinner party for 3 hours and i honestly felt it was brave - i couldn't leave mine at that age even if i really wanted to ... i think it was 6 weeks before i left her for an hour with my hubby to go to the gym to have a mental break 🥺🥺🥺 ...

my MIL had only one child and she stopped work as soon as she had him until he was 7 or 8 years old 🙄 and she had her mum around the corner and a neighbour that regularly babysat ( son's god mother) and she did not breast feed ( i mean cos she was appalled i breastfed more than 6 months and she regularly implied it's rude to breastfeed out of my home), i'm pro BF if u can and want to .. i work full time and have another kid to look after! how can she possibly know how bloody tired i might be with no family around 😠 ... oh well as u ladies said : ignore her 😓

123Pandy · 03/11/2019 10:33

Hi all!! Can I join please. Am due end of May with my first baby and am feeling a little anxious.Confused
Currently looking into which hospitals to use.
@woollycat I was considering royal free initially and now am not so sure. Also looking into queen charlottes and UCLH - did you self refer?

mrsf1204 · 03/11/2019 11:00

Anyone else starting to get a real surge of hormones? Just under 12 weeks and oh my god even the slightest thing is winding me up. We ordered a takeaway last night, waited over ran hour for it and I was SO HUNGRY! When it arrived, my pilau rice was missing which I’ve had a craving for all day, then my curry was rubbish, and no popadoms... so I phoned the takeaway joint and LOST MY SH*T at some kid on the phone and was like ‘I’m pregnant and hungry and wanted my rice. I don’t expect you to do anything about it now but please just don’t let it happen again’ she then said to her colleague ‘she’s trying to make me feel bad by saying she’s pregnant and hungry’

I felt so bad for mouthing off, it's so unlike me! I never loose my cool! But I just felt so angry! I was so hungry! For like the first time in forever...

I'm contemplating writing them an apology letter 😂😂 honestly I'm all over the place

Sunshine8888 · 03/11/2019 11:16

My diet is also terrible @november90! I went off salad from day one, can manage some fruit and yoghurt but that’s about it. Then the rest of the time it’s carbs, biscuits, crisps, chocolate! Please don’t give me anything green!!! I can’t stand it! I used to be so healthy! 🙈

Raindancer411 · 03/11/2019 12:24

Anyone else have a few days where their stomach acid is just really causing them an issue. Yesterday and today it's a right pain!!

Pastnowfuture · 03/11/2019 12:34

Another one with a terrible diet here. I've always enjoyed healthy eating but since getting pregnant vegetables repulse me and I can't remember the last time I ate something green. I naively thought that getting a nutritionally balanced diet in pregnancy would be easy for me as I've never liked white carbs or junk, always preferring lots of fruit and vegetables.

Sunshine8888 · 03/11/2019 15:19

Can anyone else see their stomach pulsating if they lie flat? I’m wondering if it’s because placenta is forming on the front and can see the blood pulsing? It’s very strange!!

Helensss · 03/11/2019 15:33

I had some bright red spotting this morning 😟 it was only a tiny few spots on the tissue but was still there,
Panicking a bit x

sazzlerazzle · 03/11/2019 15:45

@helensss can you ring your midwife? I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about but just to put your mind at ease x
