Not to worry @kyles101! Think I'm the only one dealing with this particular problem, and OC is similar to GD in the sense that it's hormone related and the body going WTF is this, I can't cope!

Feeling prepared(ish)! DH rebuilt the snuzpod last night, so it's now sat in the corner of our room ready. I've washed and packed (and repacked several times) the bags. My parents are ready to come down on Monday night and take over care of DD. I'm not looking forward to being induced again, but hopefully it's quicker and more straightforward than last time. Am officially over the nighttime itching and three hour insomnia in the middle of the night, may as well be up with a snuggly newborn! 😊

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 07:53

Morning all. Lost some more of my plug this morning. Hopefully does not mean anything though as the weather forecast is 28 degrees today!

DustyDoorframes · 25/08/2019 08:40

Heatwaves can bring on babies Decaf - and I can't see how the hospital can get any hotter...

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 10:00

Ill pass thanks dusty!

Megan2018 · 25/08/2019 11:19

Mucking out two stables this morning has done me in! Just doing an emergency Tesco trip before retiring to a chair in the garden where I intend to sit motionless for the rest of the day!
No sleep last night, really irritable bladder and also some period cramps. Feeling shattered now.
Hope everyone doing ok!

BBell2 · 25/08/2019 11:58

My mum collected DD yesterday (predicted we might need a break/time to sort stuff out) had her last night, might keep her all day. I love that girl with all my heart but tried to pack a hospital bag yesterday and she removed everything! And she isnt sleeping (removed her dummy, it's our own fault) so despite my own sleeplessness I still feel grand this morning.

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 12:16

We have left dc4 with his dummy until after baby is born. Christmas maybe.

DustyDoorframes · 25/08/2019 12:59

We've (probably foolishly) taken DC2 out of night nappies- she's been having dry nappies for ages! So I'm expecting to be on here moaning about wet beds once the baby is here...

Stroan · 25/08/2019 13:04

@Florencenotflo how was your night? Really hope you are discharged today.

It's not too hot here yet but I have a three year old and newborn on top of me so pretty toasty. By the way, those having second babies - your first will appear to double in weight once you've given birth!

Baby soam. This boy really doesn't know he's born. He's pretty happy all the time, but especially when he is curled up into the tiniest little ball.

Aww i want my baby. Just not today in this heat.

boodles101 · 25/08/2019 13:45

stroan how adorable! And OMG my 2 year old is absolutely huge! pretty sure his speech and everything else also developed even more overnight and he's actually now about 4.

DustyDoorframes · 25/08/2019 14:32

Oh what a cuddlebug Stroan! He's just gorgeous.
I was hoping to get a whole lot of stuff done today. But too hot. I just want to loll!

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 14:38

I keep doing things in very small small chunks!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 25/08/2019 16:32

I've done sweet FA - took DD to softplay and DH ran around with her while I had coffee and cake and then we went to Wagamamas for lunch. Just had a nap. Relaxing but wish I could enjoy it more, so blimming hot and itchy today!!

kyles101 · 25/08/2019 16:48

Ow @Stroan that's all I'd be doing all day if I was you!!

Eugh, trying to motivate myself to get up for this bbq but I'm so tired. I really don't want to go 😴 not even an hours nap has helped the situation.

Dyra · 25/08/2019 16:48

My request to my husband to turn down the sun was denied, so now I am going to build a cot.

boodles101 · 25/08/2019 17:08

We had our first outing as a family of 5. Went to a local pub garden this morning, parked me and the twins in the shade while DH played football with our DS. Was lovely to be out the house.

BimbleBamble · 25/08/2019 17:19

@florence congrats! Hope you are enjoying all the snuggles!
Finally back home after a lovely wedding.....just a little too warm!!! It was in an orangery not the best when it was hitting 30°c outside and its not socially acceptable to just wear big pants and a vest Grin. I've now got no long distance drives planned till December (thank god) hotel beds so very hit and miss, especially when you forget to put the pregnancy pillow in the car.
Hope everyone is holding out ok, I was so excited about wearing a jumper last week and some cooler weather, think I got too smug too soon!

Stroan · 25/08/2019 17:20

Well done Boodles! We made it to Costa this week but that's been about it.

DustyDoorframes · 25/08/2019 17:32

Costa and the pub both sound like excellent first outings! Milestones Stroan and Boodles!
Bridget I can't imagine itching in this heat, you have all my sympathy!!!!! And that sounds like a busy day in my book!

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 17:56

I have been itchy today but i think just heat related

Just had a nap and woken feeling rougher than before i went to sleep!

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 25/08/2019 21:05

The heat is not my friend today! Feeling rough and one of my ankles has swollen to a frankly ridiculous size. But i also can't imagine trying to keep a tiny newborn cool in this weather so feel for you ladies who've already had your precious bundles!
I have finally decided to pack my hospital bag. I think because I'm supposed to be having an ELCS I've been in denial anything else could happen 😂 But the Braxton hicks are ramping up, I've lost my plug and so frankly better safe than sorry!

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/08/2019 21:14

BH are ramping up here too littlehouse really dont fancy labour in the heat though

Megan2018 · 25/08/2019 22:28

I think I have had a few BH at last, painless but a weird clamping sensation.
I also get the odd cramp at night that is painful but I am 99% sure it relates to being slightly constipated as if I can poo it goes away Blush and I have had similar in the past on my period-arse pain is my thing I think! Grin

iano · 25/08/2019 22:28

My forearms really hurt. The pain goes all the way into my thumbs. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
