Hi ladies,

Looked around for a January thread but couldn't find one so created one instead hehe. I'm currently 16+4. Due January 20.

How are you guys getting on with the pregnancies? How far are you? Whens your due date? Has your nausea gone away? Any weird cravings?

Only 5 months to go guys!

So happy that I’m finally making progress with the baby’s room, started to think it wasn’t going to be ready on time but I’ve ordered a few bits of furniture and lucky for me my sister is very good at art and is going to paint some animals on the wall since the room will have an animal/nature theme 😊

StephRae · 27/08/2019 15:30

How far has everyone gotten when it comes to buying baby stuff? Personally I still think I have a lot more to get!

PastaSauceHoarder · 27/08/2019 16:19

Sounds like the nursery is coming along lovely, @StephRae! I'm sure you'll finish with plenty of time, an animal/nature theme sounds so sweet. Smile
We have a spare bedroom but its just a tiny box room, whereas our toddler daughter has the biggest bedroom in the whole house - I think we've decided we're just going to have the two girls in the big bedroom for the next few years and see where we go from there. Plus our toddler already has the changing table and cot in there, it'll just be a case of buying her a new bed.

In terms of baby items I really need to make a list! We have a few things left over from when our first daughter was tiny but not loads. I've been buying all sorts of little clothes and outfits though, can't seem to stop. Blush

muddypuddlejumping · 27/08/2019 21:17

@PastaSauceHoarder @StephRae I've not bought a thing this time! We have lots from our first but oddly it seems too early with this one even though I'm nearly 18 weeks 🤷‍♀️
I think I'll buy a few things after the 20 week scan.

qwertyyuiop · 28/08/2019 13:54

Hi All

I'm 20 weeks. Due early jan. I've been using a pregnancy pillow for a while now Grin
I think I need a second one! I get really achey, sore legs. I think my circulation is poor.

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow (I'm in Australia). Excited but nervous. I haven't bought anything yet as I am waiting for the scan. Oh except a pram!

This is my second, but my first was 12 years ago so I have nothing left over.

LifeIsAnArt · 28/08/2019 16:06

@PastaSauceHoarder oh I couldn't possibly wait to find out Wink it's a baby boy!

LifeIsAnArt · 28/08/2019 16:07

@qwertyyuiop wow how exciting, let us know how the scan goes :-) the 20 wk scan is such a milestone isn't it!

PastaSauceHoarder · 28/08/2019 19:44

Ahh congratulations @LifeIsAnArt, thats so lovely!! Smile Glad all is well with your little boy! 💙

Hello and welcome @qwertyyuiop, I have my scan tomorrow too. I'm nervous as all hell to be honest!
Wow what a lovely big age gap they'll be between your children! Smile I have a sister who is 10 years younger than me and a brother whos 13 years younger, it was so nice watching and being able to remember them growing up. Good luck for your scan!

So I have my anomaly scan at 9:20am tomorrow... Deep breaths, I'm so nervous. Blush

muddypuddlejumping · 28/08/2019 21:29

If any of you are interested, there's a post in the pregnancy section where you can follow an Instagram link to get the Positive Birth Company Digital Pack for £5! Normally £39.

Just ordered as I've read great things about it and really hoping it'll give me a better birth experience this time round.

qwertyyuiop · 29/08/2019 05:17

@PastaSauceHoarder how did your scan go? Mine went well, baby looked good. I had an internal swab done though, that hurt.

Also, my c section has been booked in for Dec 27th....so I guess I'm now a Dec 19 baby?!

qwertyyuiop · 29/08/2019 05:18

@LifeIsAnArt thank you 😊 yes it is....I might start buying stuff now!

PastaSauceHoarder · 29/08/2019 07:37

Glad all is well @qwertyyuiop! Smile Haven't had mine yet, its in less than two hours (I'm in the UK). I slept really badly, I'm worrying myself silly over this scan.
How exciting that you've got a c-section date though and you'll know your baby is definitely coming by then!

PastaSauceHoarder · 29/08/2019 11:08

Just updating, scan was perfect, my little girl is perfectly healthy and growing! Smile

muddypuddlejumping · 29/08/2019 12:07

Fantastic news on the scans! I've still got two weeks 😫

LifeIsAnArt · 29/08/2019 12:33

@PastaSauceHoarder oh that's wonderful to hear! Have been thinking of you. Now you can relax

@muddypuddlejumping not long now! Found distracting myself during those weeks leading up to it helped Wink

PastaSauceHoarder · 29/08/2019 17:45

Awh thank you @LifeIsAnArt, yes I definitely feel a lot more relaxed now. Smile Shes a fiesty little thing, kept kicking back against the sonographer everytime he pushed against my stomach! Got a gorgeous picture of her as well, looks like shes sucking her thumb. Really feel head over heels in love with her now. ❤

Well its pay day and I've had the day off so I went round town and bought loooads of lovely baby bits this afternoon. Grin Hows everyone elses day been?

Aimzxo · 31/08/2019 10:08

January 2020 Babies!!
Elsey12 · 31/08/2019 16:01

Hi there, I've just joined Mumsnet. I'm 20wks due 16th January. I'm loving pregnancy it's been a great one so far but my main issue is repeated pain quite low down on my right side. First time it lasted for 5hrs at 14wks, then for 4days at 17wks and today its started again. I've put it down to round ligament pain, my midwife thinks the same, and a GP I've met at pregnancy yoga also says she thinks it's this. But it's so painful! Like a constant stitch, defo feels like something going into spasm or something being pulled. We had our 20wk scan on Thurs and everythings looking fine so that is the most important thing. But I just wondered Is anyone else experiencing this? X

FirstTim3Mummy · 03/09/2019 22:03

@muddypuddlejumping can you post a link to the thread for the digital pack offer please! X

muddypuddlejumping · 04/09/2019 19:41

@FirstTim3Mummy it's not on anymore. It was just for that evening I think but I now follow them on Instagram as that's where they launched it so fingers crossed they may do it again!

LifeIsAnArt · 20/11/2019 16:11

So... not long to go now, how is everyone doing?

I feel like I haven't been all that prepared yet. Still need to sort out hospital bag, organise baby's clothes and essentials etc.

Also been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so that's been an added challenge and led to quite a few more hospital visits! Craving my sweet treats right now Confused

Boymummy3 · 20/11/2019 16:14

These next 10 weeks need to go quick I'm totally over being pregnant. Being killed off daily/nightly with heartburn and utter thirst. Also now on iron tablets which was much needed and I can't half tell the difference I was exhausted until 29 weeks.

Got babies pram today so apart from a cot which isn't really needed ASAP all big bits now been bought thank god... Starting to think About hospital bag now I want to be prepared this side of Christmas x
