January 2020 Babies!!

Hi ladies,

Looked around for a January thread but couldn't find one so created one instead hehe. I'm currently 16+4. Due January 20.

How are you guys getting on with the pregnancies? How far are you? Whens your due date? Has your nausea gone away? Any weird cravings?

Only 5 months to go guys!

Hi! I'm due 17th of January.

Finding our sex privately on Saturday:) pretty sure it's a girl though! Almost 99%..

No sickness or nausea so far, infact the only real symptom I had was really, really sore boobs.

I've jinxed myself now though by telling someone I was sailing through it so far, as now I have piles for the first time in my life.. and with health anxiety I am just in panic mode and am not enjoying myself.. hence why I cannot sleep at nearly 4am :(

Congratulations on you're pregnancy, are you going to find out the sex?

I’m due 8th Jan but I will be having a section around the 39 week mark! I’m having a boy :) I couldn’t wait until 23rd August for my scan so I booked a private one!

Pregnancy has been easy apart from heartburn! I’m still not showing and still waiting to feel those first flutters! Xx

@PoppingOneOutIn2020. Honestly, pregnancies with decreased nausea or no nausea at all is just such a blessing. That's not me this time around though! 16+5 and still gag. Btw, what makes you think it's a girl? I'm not too sure what I'm having. I dont know if I want to go for a private scan because of the confusion. You see some mums told their having boys for example and then anatomy scan shows a girl because the labia was swollen hence thinking it was a boy. I have 3 daughters and I'm kinda praying for a son now but we'll see at anatomy 3rd September.

@Starlight84 how many weeks were you at your private scan?

@Kitten22 I was 16+4 on the first then 16+6 on the second! Baby wasn’t cooperating with flashing the bits 🤣 xx

@starlight84 lol. Must have been frustrating having to come back, but atleast the second time round they do it for free. Congrats on your baby boy.

On the scan, how do they differentiate between the boys bits and girls swollen labia? I've seen loads of scan pics and still dont understand. If I end up going for private what am I looking out for?

@Kitten22 you will need to zoom but that’s the underneath view! I will however still ask what the sex is at my 20week scan to double check! Xx

@Starlight84 awww that's an obvious boy. Hope that's the same answer u get in the 20 weeks scan.

@Lollypop10 mine is 3 days after yours. The anticipation is real!

@Kitten22 I hope so! I’ve started to pick a few bits up that I’ve seen if I thought it was a bargain! There’s always that room it could be an error but I think it definitely looks like boys bits x

@Starlight84 I know what u mean about buying things.. I'm holding myself bk but really eager to pop into mothercare and see all the lovely baby stuff they have. I also need a new pram! Haven't used one in a few years...ended up throwing it away coz I used it with all of my 3 girls. So need a freshly new one.

When are u planning to do a proper shop or are u slowly grabbing a few items until closer to your due date?

@lollypop10 I dont knw why I thought u said your scan is August 31, hence why i said mine is 3 days after yours. Gosh!.. my brain. Just noticed u said due Jan 31st.

@Kitten22 i actually have a travel system (Fb bargain), Moses basket, bath, changing mat, and a few clothes. So far apart from one outfit nothing is new. It’s not what I I wanted but I’m by no means frugal when it comes to seconds but I’m gutted I’ll miss out on the pram shopping this time! The babies dad wants nothing to do with us so I’m having to support the children I have and buy baby things and pay all my bills on the wage I get now! It’s hard but I don’t want to be flapping near Christmas and spoil it for what will be my girls last Christmas as a 3! They are 14 and 11 so a baby will be a shock for us all xx

@ Starlight84 really sorry to hear that but I believe you are a strong woman and can do it.

Black friday (although quite late in pregnancy) have really good deals. Might wait for that tbh. Cant spend too much either. I literally need everything. I dnt have a single baby item at all. I have a friend who offered her cot bed, I might just accept that as it makes things easier.

@Lollypop10 lol.. yea I think that's what I'm experiencing. Do they scan at 19 weeks at your hospital? Mine said I had to wait until 20. Quite annoying because I was hoping to get a scan last week of August before school and work starts again.

Can I join?!
I'm due 17th January! Found out we were having a girl at a private scan last Saturday, so excited!
My sisters not long had a baby girl so I'm lucky enough to be able to have most of her baby clothes which is a relief!
I'm yet to buy anything big such as pram, cot ect.
Is anybody showing yet? Xx

@tired1245 welcome! Many congrats on the baby girl. It is a relief! Good on you.. you'll save money. Similar thing with me I barely bought baby clothes in my previous pregnancies except a few because I had girls close in age 8, 7 and 5 so I didnt need to buy much. It was honestly such a great feeling.

16+1 Jan 23rd.
Having a boy.
Little rainbow baby had MC 4 weeks before found out I was expecting again.
Already have 2 other dcs and a sdc.

Can't stop buying stuff.. I never learn.

@kitten22 yeah they scan around 20 weeks so week or week after is generally fine. They booked it in and I checked would be ok. It was either that or not till much later as they are so busy

Hi guys just joined mumsnet, I'm due December 29th so just before January. Will be finding out what I'm having in a few days, probably could've found out sooner but I've been away on holiday for the last 4 weeks (got back on Thursdsay) xx

Also due 17tb Jan, and also found out were having a little girl yesterday at private scan! Also found outnj have an anterior placenta so abit gutted I wont be able to feel any movement anytime soon!

Congratulations. I'm showing abit which is nice.
